I always recommend Skillshare to everyone. It's an amazing platform to learn anything to do with creativity, self-employment and more. The way the site is set up and the great teachers make it so easy to learn and improve quickly.
It is a good platform that offers a great variety of courses to train us from the comfort of any place, it serves both to initiate you in certain areas and to complement the knowledge you already have in a specific branch.
Skillshare has so many courses from so many experienced people that I can trust! I've learned so much! I don't need to sign up for targeted seminars online that cost hundreds of dollars because I have Skillshare!
They have an awesome selection of courses and the quality of the material from the instructors are top notch. I took the free trial and decided to keep up the membership with such an affordable price. Recommended.
Skillshare is entertaining, engaging, and compelling. I love the system, the interface, and everything. They also outpace the competition by thoroughly going step by step from the ground up, and even offer guidance based on learning tracks.
I signed up to Skillshare to learn a topic from one of your teachers. Me being the organized person that I am I made a reminder on my phone to deactivate my account 2 weeks before they would charge me as I am not able to afford subscriptions as of yet. As soon as i was paid my freelance fee, they took R1816. 63 this is so unprofessional and not how business should be run. Membership feels like a scam. I expect that someone would take action during this time of trouble (COVID - 19) where money is not as accessible as it should be.
I have been using Skillshare for a little over a year and will continue to subscribe to it. I have recommended the site to several of my friends and family. The classes and teachers have been mostly excellent, but like everything in life, some classes and teachers are better than others--you have to explore
I really like Skillshare. It's easy to use, the teachers are engaging and classes are great and very well planned. You can find almost anything you want to learn there! Really changed the way I study. They also have an APP so you can download the classes and learn anywhere.
Out of the blue, just saw two monthly payments (Jan and Feb 2019) on my credit card account from Skillshare. This was linked to a card that was cancelled 6 months prior and on an email address that my university closed in January 2017.
At absolutley no point did I subscribe to this membership. I have just had to chargeback through my credit card provider. This must be a scam that they pull in the hope that people do not notice.
AVOID
I had a very similar experience to many others before me. After the free trial was over they just started to take my money every month. It took me a while to notice because I never got any reminders that my fee is 'dued', and I've never received a receipt about my 'payment' being received. When I submitted a claim I never got an answer but I keep getting tons of the annoying messages about the classes in my mailbox. I had to ask my bank to destroy my bank card and give me a new one because they couldn't block them out (of course, I've never actually authorized transactions) and I was worried that they will just keep taking my money. With this business policy and customer service they won't last long. Stay away!
I like the interactivity and variation of the courses and the thoughtfulness of how it's presented. The videos were a great way to mix up the information and the tests made it easy to track your progress. One thing that I found helpful was the course tracks. It allowed me to share with my boss and justify the use of SkillShare.
Beware of Skillshare's billing policy. They do not warn you when they are going to charge for the annual billing. They claim they do, however in my case, nothing. There is no 'cancel service' option on their app, you have to go on their website and search for it. You only have a mere 7 days to reverse the billing. After that, even if only a day, TOUGH LUCK. Now I am stuck paying $99 for an annual premium for a service I have not used in months nor do I plan on using for the next 12 months. I do not recommend using any company with billing policies such as Skillshares.
The quality of the content of the courses is really to a sky-rocketing
Level.
The interface of SkillShare is good looking and the Android mobile
App is also good.
It has been as effective as taking up a class in a well established
University directly. It helps in skill development at our own pace
Which can also be achieved in our free time.
I really enjoy Skillshare and found I have been able to learn a lot from this platform. I also enjoy how inclusive Skillshare is in encouraging anyone to create a class and share the knowledge that they have.
I enjoyed how in depth the projects were that were completed during
The course and how detailed the feedback was that they provided.
I wanted an intro to programming to ensure I was interested in it
Before investing in a career change.
I enjoyed the course i took and will likely take a few more through
SkillShare.com
I got the 40% off my annual payment so I sign up, as for the second annual payment they charged me $99.00 when I contacted them about the overcharge they refunded and canceled my membership.
It started on Thursday, September 12,2019 for $59.40
My next annual charge was today, Thursday, October 1,2020 for $99.00
I didn't want my membership canceled, just the refund for the difference in the overcharge. Not sure what happened, because my membership is canceled.
I included pics of emails I received from Skillshare for the first membership contract, the overcharge and cancellation of said membership.
I signed up for a trial of SkillShare because of a creator they had. The course wasn't great, but that's ok. I didn't cancel my trial in time. I had some issues with my account that they were seemingly very happy to help me with at the onset until it came time to actually solve my problem. The service was all sizzle, no steak. They were unwilling to help with a request that is pretty commonly accepted with all saas. They don't seem to value their customers, which is crazy in this day and age with so many options. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I love the short sequences that allow you to squeeze your learning into whatevertime you have available! I love earning badges and having something that represents my progress. I joined SkillShare while on maternity leave with my son and found that the sessions were just long enough to get in a session while the baby napped, a nice break from changing diapers and I returned to work with some great new skills I could put to use immediately.
Skillshare is a tremendous asset! The content and variety of classes are extraordinary. I wish there was more time a day to explore more! I have had a great few days of learning from the different teachers. And I look forward to learning more.
As I did not have sufficient time to use the subscription, I wanted to cancel my subscription. However, I was offered their membership suspension feature that pauses my billing and thus opted for their membership suspension feature. However, I was still billed for the subscription despite of the successful application of the membership suspension feature. I explained to their customer support of my circumstances but was still refused and they did not want to process the refund even when my usage of their subscription is minimal.
I used only 0.6 hours, this is how you push away potential customers. Now, I will never consider using Skillshare again, content by youtubers are more worth your time and it's free.
