This company is one to avoid at all costs. Recently, I was contacted by my pharmacy concerning a prescription which would cost $149 using SilverScript. They then informed me that if I used GoodRX, that same prescription was $15. GoodRX is free and SilverScript is about $500/year. Additionally, they increased my deductible from $190 to $480 without informing me. STAY AWAY FROM SILVERSCRIPT!

Worst plan ever…!
March 24, 2022

Don't be fooled by the low monthly premium. I am paying copays for Everything. My previous plan with WellCare Value Script covered everything I was on with no copays. Biggest mistake I made to save $5 a month. AETNA, shame on you for screwing retired fixed income customers this way. Never again, for anything AETNA…!

Silverscript means calling the # on the back of your card, reaching someone in the Philippines who barely speaks English, and being told you've got the wrong department, then being transferred to someone with a non-working headset, and then being transferred to someone who has no idea how to help you, but gives you two numbers to call, both of which are to companies unrelated to Silverscript.

If you have Medicare, call them, ask for a supervisor, and then file a detailed complaint. It will knock down their rating and eventually Medicare will drop them entirely.

My husband calls them Silversh**.

Please forgive me for writing; but I have already made 5 calls to Silverscript – CVS to obtain my prescribed medicines. On the first 4 calls I was told that they would be sent, no problem, it was only with the 5th call that I was given the truth. The three medication that I need, I have no more left. On all, I was supposed to get a 90 day supply; but I believe either I was short counted or pills or drops were lost. None of these medications are banned substances or opioids, the cost is minimal, which I would pay. I was told to beg the provider for a sample to "hold me over" or get another prescription for a local pharmacy. If this is the case why use Silverscript? And why did it take 5 calls to find out that their system was not allowing a release of prescribed medication?

I have worked in telecommunications and BPO engagement centers for more than 30 years. In all that time I've never worked with a company that was less interested in potentially damaging a relationship with a professional partner. Today I called on behalf of the healthcare company I work with. I attempted to be escalated to a supervisor to address a problem. What I discovered is the employees are not empowered to address an issue, and they are "not allowed" to escalate. Issue still not solved and there is no path to a solution. Worst customer support experience I've had in my more than 30 years in this business. Sorry Aetna - This is a Total Fail!

Co pay more than doubled
January 28, 2022

I have had silver script for years and this year my copay has more than doubled. It went from $200 to $480! This is totally unacceptable and should be criminal. I will not do business with them anymore. They should be ashamed! I am 79 and could barely afford my medications last year. Now my first Rx has gone from $21.19 to $51.70. I can not afford this. People are having to give up food to keep their medications, CVS should hang it's head, this is nothing more than GREED!

You can barely understand them. Hire some native English speakers! Stop with the million and one transfers. They keep sending me to sales every time I call, even though I never have a sales related issue. Stop hanging up on people just because you don't know the answer or don't like the answer. This wouldn't if they hired Americans who actually understand and speak fluent English.

No customer care

Forget any help from their agents. Spoke to 3 and got 3 different quotes. Worthless. Prizes are high and coverage poor.

Good luck getting a straight answer from these people. Spoke to three agents. All quoted different costs for same meds. Policy requires tota deductible to be paid with single new purchase of tier 1 med.
Will change prescription company next open enrollment.

After navigating a difficult automated telephone menu, I got a representative who I couldn't understand. I explained to her that I couldn't understand her, but she kept reading her script. She finally agreed to transfer me to someone else. I was placed on hold for a long time, only to be cut off with a "please hang up and try your call again." I had a question about a high deductible that I was not informed of when switching to them. I don't think I can get away from them this year but will never use them again.

Kafka would recognize this business style. SNAFU seems applicable.

After a recommendation by a friend, Last year I enrolled in Aetna's SilverScript Medicare part D insurance. Somehow my request for premium payments to be deducted from my SSA payments wasn't recorded resulting in cancellation of the insurance and leaving a past due balance on my account. Attempting to enroll again this year brought a snail mail letter weeks later warning the old unpaid balance needed to be paid by January 7 or I would be dissenrolled once again.

So today I called the phone number in the letter - because there was no online option offered. After 20 minutes waiting, The first operator said I would need to be transferred to "Premium Payments", after another 15 minute wait on hold, the next attendant let me know she only handled enrollments, but would need to take down all my information again before she could hand my call off to another agent who could help. My 3rd agent was able to take the card number, but said I would need to wait for five working days for the payment to be processed. Only after that wait and confirmation I was then reenrolled could we attempt to fix the problem why payments weren't being deducted from my SSA payments.

Total time on the phone today was just over an hour. And I've been charged to call back once their system confirms they have accepted payment.

Only with captive enrollees can a system so dysfunctional exist. For profit healthcare puts profit first. Imagine a business in a competitive environment being so dysfunctional. They wouldn't be in business long…

Incompetent assistance which always requires to me to speak with supervisor to rectify situation. Supervisor always apologies for wrong information given by assistant. Takes days to rectify any issues
Will definitely be seeking alternative plan next year

I've had Silver Scripts since 2018 and never had a problem. But, I will be moving to another state. Not yet, but late Dec. But the new Aetna SS cancelled me! On 11/1/21. I haven't even packed. And I've had to use different addresses because I am a domestic violence survivor.
I started calling this group on 11/1; four different people. Research my account; resolve in 24-72 hours. I have health issues and I have NO insurance. I switched to new insurance, but it doesn't begin until 12/1. So thanks a whole hell of a lot, Aetna. I will NEVER recommend you.

TERRIBLE
November 8, 2021

If I could give them zero Stars I would, not even worth one star! I've had this plan for a few years now and have had problems since day one, 99% of the time that I've tried to do mail order it rarely comes on time before I run out of my medication and they even canceled my orders a couple times without notifying me by phone, email or mail. The reason for canceling my orders a supervisor told me was because I never gave them permission to contact me by email or phone and they needed more information from my doctor even having refills open on the order, but they never try to contact my doctor or me and they just canceled them, how crazy is that? That they can't even contact me by phone or email because I never gave them permission! I've never ever heard of that in my life! How about sending me a letter in the mail! I just happened to call after not receiving my medications when they told me when I would get them so I would call and ask them where my medication is and what's going on in a few times they told me they canceled the order. And when I tried to talk to a supervisor about this she was very ignorant and argumentative with me and interrupting me not listening to what I had to say or what my problem was, the supervisor I thought could care less and was defending what they did to me not once but several times. Having cancer you have to have your medication you can't miss doses and take the medicine whenever you want they are very unreliable the worst I've ever dealt with, terrible terrible customer service, I would never recommend them to anybody there's so many more out there, do your homework and stay away from silver scripts or Aetna which I believe they call themselves now. 0 stars!

Poor customer service
October 1, 2021

Have had Silverscript since 2015. They used to be great. Now the customer service is horrible. They transfer you from person to person, keep you on hold for 15 minutes minimum snd in the end they don't help. Despite being told I would get a call crack it never happened. My policy was terminated because I missed a letter. And they never notified me that they were canceling my subscription. Do not use them.

I have a rare primary immune disorder and the drug company fought against me and my specialist throughout the entire denial process. Many use the term "Life-saving" medication lightly but in my case it's the truth. Without Ruxolitinib (Jakafi), my body's immune system will attack my organs till I died. I wasted a year fighting them; In that year, I developed 4 conditions known would occur without medication. Only going to the NIH did I start the process to receiving medication. The world's best research center heavily funded through government grant money. For-profit stifles medical advancement. It's why new antibiotics aren't being designed but instead old versions get over prescribed.

Evil does not begin to describe this company. They used the letter of Medicare agreement against me when they needn't not. Medications I am on NOW are not prescribed as indicated and yet I still receive coverage; However, Jakafi costs 35k a month so of course NOW they decided the MedDex mattered. The same polite-sounding pharmacist and Doctor looking over my case attended the Judge Hearing to speak against me. They have also misdirected and lied to my specialist.

Seriously, leave this company as soon as possible. Stand clear of CVS and Aetna both. They will leave you out in the cold and to your death to avoid doing what insurance is designed to do: Cover your costs. It's time this nation moves away from for-profit healthcare, because in this paradigm, profit is more important than life. Each life has a price tag placed upon it. That could very be you, the reader, or someone you love receiving this nightmare.

Disgusting and corrupt. Stand clear.

I wish I could give a 0 rating Been with silverscript 6 years never had any issues they would do prior authorizations immediately within 1 hour of the call. Since switching to Aetna it's the worst service I've ever experienced. I'm disabled Aetna handles my scripts however as of 8/1/2021 they disenrolled me over a $24 balance. They do not care I did not have the money to pay due to covid & workers compensation not sending checks timely but I still paid them something & they still cancelled my plan. They say they offer emergency reinstatement however that's only supposedly if you had a death in the family they did not care about my reasoning that I never received a letter saving our money they did not care. This company never sent me a bill they never called me to tell me I had an outstanding bill they just disenrolled may refuse to put a supervisor on the phone and then say it could take up to 60 days to reenroll. I'm doing my medication in three days it's $2000 unfortunately I need this medicine who's gonna pay for it. As stated I was with silver script six years if I missed one payment with them they would immediately email me and let me know this company just cancel your policy and then tells you to go F yourself basically. It's pretty freaking sad when these giant corporations take over smaller ones and destroy them and everything that company works for with it reputation Aetna sucks literally physically anyway you can put it they absolutely suck

I hate to give them even 1 star. Their customer service is terrible and if you need to get a prior authorization approved... Forget It! I'm on medicare and they refuse all prior auths if the drug is not on the Medicare Part D formulary. Well, what am I paying for? If you will only authorize Medicare part D... I don't need to pay you, I'll go straight Medicare. They are abosolutely AWFUL.
