I have purchased many, many items from Goodwill online.
Some stores are at best average, some are downright corrupt.
My last purchase, a $16 tablet. Cost with shipping $50!

$27 for USPS priority shipping, a week later and it's still not shipped.
Hardly priority!

No buisness would get away with this sort of operation.
My biggest complaint is the inability to leave open feedback.
As a result i'm forming a facebook group specifically for leaving feedback, good or bad for the various stores.

My son was interested in a Nerf gun, so we looked and found the one he was looking for. We found it at a reasonable price and waited out the auction. Thank God I looked at the shipping before we bid, 101 pounds in shipping for a Nerf gun they claimed was 20 pounds. I didn't know they made 20 pound Nerf guns for kids... maybe it was metal and had real bullets. And Why the extra 81 pounds? Is it being shipped in a casket?
Not only has my account been suspended... for whatever reason... I don't know, but any other account I try to make so I don't miss out on things is disabled.
All I know is, they obviously don't want to sell anything and when they do decide to sell it... It's going to cost you.

When I've sent pictures of listing products and as arrived products they want to give me a 10-30% refund. Stand your ground and make them take the product back. Until they learn how to ship product to buyer w/o it being damaged then, the loss is on them.

I have bid/bought thousands of dollars on this site and now all the sudden they have suspended my account. Stupid company. Tried emailing company and the email keeps getting rejected saying site rejected your email. WTH. Buyer beware stay away. I'd rather go on eBay and be covered by buyer protection then have to deal with these dumbasses. X

Was buying some items here at reasonable prices. However, they have recently tripled most of their shipping and handling charges. Buying a broken item for 5.00 and then have shipping and handling at 25.00, wow, I would expect a reasonable amount of 10-11 dollars. Now they are showing items with powers cords and then not including them, or copying the print on the box when half the items are missing, and they want you to pay return shipping for their mistakes. Goodwill has become a massive rip off under the guise of helping the disabled. They have designed their website so you cannot get a large clear picture of the item you are looking to purchase. Stay Away!

Why do they inflate shipping... this was my email to customer service... I contacted the seller asked about combined shipping, they stated they could combine the two items I was interested in, I asked for a combined invoice, they sent a combined invoice with no discount on shipping, I reached out to them again they lowered the shipping cost by 2.36.
In my opinion only... and I am wrong alot... as a seller and consumer I feel that... well for example on eBay sellers inflate their shipping costs to avoid paying eBay fees... that's why you used to see a 20 dollar item selling for one dollar with 19 dollars shipping... the seller only had to pay the eBay %on 1.00, eBay stopped this but as a buyer it was infuriating but understandable... for private eBay sellers... even public eBay sellers. Even when Goodwill is selling on eBay... when Goodwill shops are doing the same thing... on Goodwill site... with no eBay fees..., it's giving your brand a bad name. That there is something shady with the charity in general because as a consumer I think to myself, what reason could they have to lie about the shipping costs. So maybe all the sales money goes one place and then the shipping costs are sent back to the stores and for some reason that I can't see as innocent, the individual stores want to have more than what they pay to ship... not only did they charge 10 dollars over the price to ship... they charged an additional 8 dollars in handling. Using priority mail... the box is free. So staff and bubble wrap and tape.
I am just giving my opinion. And don't expect you to refund or attempt to help in my specific situation. I should not have bought without asking for what the combined shipping would be. But I have a slight impulse shopping issue...
I hope your day is awesome... and that if you have the ability to implement a structural shipping ruberic for all online sales. It would give all of your buyers more confidence in there shopping... in impulse bidding... in your brand which I believe has an awesome mission...

I used to watch this site daily, but minimum price went from 5.99 to 9.99 plus shipping and handling... most of the items that i watched you could buy new for less than 9.99 and most of this is used merchandise. I am about done with goodwill.com. I still like the stores but they really need to watch there prices... going to price out of customers.

Purchased in unopened box not tested with shipping 52.00 got it charged it for 24 hours as instructed nothing doesnt even light up Goodwill Of Orange County sent a ticket reply sold unopened as IS! Ticket closed it should have been opened tested and resealed. Goodwill didn't offer me even a store credit I used to love shopping here but not anymore. 52.00 is a lot to he out at least for me. They have become greedy and are not for the needy they are for the money buyers BEWARE!

I enjoy looking at the auctions, but buying jewelry is very tricky because they do not know the quality and do not accept returns that easily. Once bought a beautiful amethyst ring that was not a real quartz. Then, I won a pedant that I returned because the chain was damage. However, they claimed that I did not place the pendant in the package. The pendant disappeared... probably someone took it because I mailed it for a refund. Problematic shopping experience

As if the shipping charges were not excessive enough, they tack on BS charges like $5.00 "handling fee" for a jacket. It's nuts. I have been sent so many items that were not at all as described. For example, I bid on and won what they described as a leather jacket. What they sent me was a VINYL jacket. I told them they sent me the wrong jacket. I told them they made a mistake in describing the item. They responded with "We do not accept returns". I said "well, you better accept lawsuits because if you don't make this right you will have one coming". Then they wanted ME to pay for the return shipping! I of course told them I needed to speak with a GW Regional Manager because I was truly getting scammed. Their excuse for the original mix up was blamed on individuals with disabilities working at that facility. I was flabbergasted by this response. We all know that people with different disabilities work at GW that does not give a business (charitable or profit) the right to defraud their customers. After all, it is still a business and they have to provide what they advertise. A non-profit tax exemption status does not give a business license to defraud and blame it on individual employees. I have a feeling it won't be long before we hear about more of this type of scamming, maybe on the news?! Cover story will read, GOODWILL GREED!

Fake gold bracelet

I paid 275 dollars for a 18 gold bracelet and it was fake. They are thiefs. I made a written complain and never got an answer. I dont recomend to buy gold on line i goodwill. Idont know what to do. Go to the police.

I bidded on a nice item, and in the last 18 seconds the bidding went up by $40 and stopped, as high as my max bid, ironically. Greedy MFers in every area they can! Stay far away from GREEDWILL.

I just "won" 2 actions, both for items in categories where there were few-no bidders, and won both of the auctions at my max prices, which were 40%+ more than the minimum. Both auctions had 2 bidders. Myself and the shill account. I am seriously contemplating bidding on something worthless for like 300 usd and seeing if my max bid is reached... wouldn't be surprised! Bottom line: Bid like $1 over the minimum, max. Don't be in a rush. I feel so violated.

But honoring MY agreement I paid and just hope this technology actually works... apparently the chances aren't good from other reviews.

Bid & won an American Girl Doll. Item Product ID: *******, from Seller: Boise Metro Goodwill. I understand about donated items, but the photos were misleading. Doll was shown standing, but at arrival the doll's legs are so loose, there is no way she can stand. Shipping is way over priced, no way to choose any better ground shipping. I was watching a painting on ShopGoodwill and was surprised how quickly price is going up and after stop for a few days. As you can see below the same user bid every minute to rise price.
Obviously it was done by somebody from the ShopGoodwill team. I bought before and for sure paid much much more. How disgusting this practice is!

I really enjoyed searching & bidding on items but some of the shipping charges are almost criminal. I always use the shipping estimate tool & did so while bidding on 1 single tshirt. One shirt. Won bid for $7... they send me invoice with $12 shipping & handling fees totaling $19. Hello Goodwill who the heck would buy a USED shirt for more than the cost of a brand new one! I've purchased several items & never received anything quickly or exceptionally packaged to warrant any of these shipping charges. I'll shop on ebay or amazon & spend my $ on actual products & not outrageously overinflated shipping charges.

I purchased and item that was described as "wearable/Resaleable" and the item is defective. I contacted them to return the item and they refused to take it back. The amber pendant is full of cracks and covered in scratches on the outside. If you buy from them think of your spent money as a donation.

Recently I purchased an order of 26 lbs of legos which included 6.6 ounces of marbles/ball bearings, 2 lbs 12.2 ounces of knee, 3 lbs 12.2 ounces of mega blocks as well as: food, a used bandaid, a pin, and other garbage. They said I could send it back and provided a label. Only when I looked at the fine print - they don't refund shipping and handling.
2 other orders haven't been sent and it has been 10 days!

It seems I have been placed on sop goodwill's "hit list" because I got banned withiut a reason and then a few of my family members make accounts and then they get banned also. It is and unfair world over at shopgoodwill where "jobs change lives". Did I mention the shipping? Well they have charged upwards of 14 dollars to ship an iPhone which should cost 3 dollars for a non business. I would like to give them my business but I tried making accounts and so did my realatives but they just don't seem to like their customers. Overall EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! The representative I talked to online was short with me and didn't even come close to giving me a valid reason for my banned accounts.
