I saw a poster on the wall of a hospital that I needed to file an ethics complaint for and so I called the number. The first time the phone was picked up, it sounded like a busy auditorium and no one was responding to me. I hung up and called back. The next person was barely coherent. I told her that I wanted to file a complaint and began to tell her why I was filing the complaint and also let her know that I was also recording the call. As soon as I told her that I was recording the call she hung up on me. So the next thing I did was go ahead and call the state medical board. I suggest skipping this farce of an ethics hotline and calling your state medical board directly. I'm fairly certain they just utilize these services to get around official complaints anyway.
I had referrals to surgeons for my ears 2 of them but because of.y case worker at copa health I was not allowed to get them. I made complaint against copa health and was contacted by regional director Alisha worst. She sent people to my home in retaliation and then prevme from getting a fair appeals process. I have her emails and a copy of the police report where she sent her goons to my house. I provided all of this to ethics point who did nothing.
The platform is good overall, however; the disaster falls after you submit your complaint.
As someone who used to work in an INGO, you expect that your rights, safety, and dignity to be maintained. That was not the case! Long story short, after being replied by the director of relations of this specific INGO- who stepped in to help in the investigation after I have clearly stated that I was taking this to court- the director convinced me to declare my name to be able to help. After consulting with my lawyer, we reached an agreement to give ethics point through Navex Global who submitted the case to the INGO who was handling my complaint a chance to show good will before we escalate things. Although the director showed empathy and I had submitted all supporting documents showing the violation of my rights and mistreatment from both my manager and the INGO, I last heard from them was somewhat 2 month ago entering the 3rd? I have submitted 2 follow up and they just ignored me. I have now, thanks to their unprofessionalism, more supporting documents that filing a complaint is a lie, it will only make your situation worse, and you will be faced with retaliation and will not get a reference recommendation. This is the fastest way to kiss your career goodbye!
We will proceed with legal action towards this INGO and anyone who played a role in the damage of my mental, emotional, and reputational status due to this complaint
