Ordered 2 royal mint una silver bars ( 10 oz) limited edition, paid $622 3 weeks ago, items in stock at the time order, never updated status. Called and placed on hold forever! Items now out of stock and will only allow exchange for lowered value bars and will not refund the difference in value ( silver is down form time of order in addition bars ordered now are not premium limited edition bars! Very rude an unethical company!

I used to love your company but resent experience with you customer service has proved to me that you talk a good game on these videos and with you cards in shipping boxes but when it comes down to it, you are more interested in making money first. And all this revolves around $65 out of $10,000 I have spent. Now I will not do business with your company and am sure to tell everyone I can how you really treat customers. See order #*******. I also notice you do not have a physical address where I can send you a hand written letter explaining my discontent only emails where you can ignore.

I ordered two gold maples from SD Bullion and had planned to order one per month until:

They sent me wire instructions. I followed them to the letter but it seems as though they are not able to take my bill pay from my local bank which wires my rent money every month. My bank looked to correct things by sending a check. Turns out the address SD provides is inaccurate so I have a check and instructions for SD bullion on how to accept a wire from my bank sitting God knows where.

SD Bullion contacted me threatening ME with a cancelation fee though I have done my due diligence. Will never deal with these crooks again.

I ordered silver that was not delivered. When I called I was treated very poorly and rudely by staff. I sent them almost $5500 and its been 25 days and I have received nothing, no help, no resolution just some excuses with their fraud department. I will be contacting the federal trade commission and the consumer financial protection bureau tomorrow to report this as fraud. I have ordered gold/silver many times but not from this company. Buyer beware! SCAM! Dr. Harper

SD Bullion screwed up my electronic payment, and when the order still hadn't shipped after 12 days, I called to check on the status, and the person I spoke to told me the original check had bounced. That was an absolute lie! They messed it up. I would recommend that you avoid this company.

So, my wife ordered silver for the kids and when we went to pay, their site would not take my payment. At the time, we were just starting chemo treatments and I didn't have time to follow up on the phone for an hour. About a month later, I get a cancellation bill for $400 and threatening to send it to collections if I didn't pay it. I called and explained the situation. These heartless bastards didn't care. They said pay or it is going to collections. They were not out silver and offered to go through with the order even though the silver is about the same or a bit lower in price. However, they didn't care. Since Biden is rewarding people with low credit scores, told them that they can refer it to a collections agency. They will not get one dime from me as it was their system that would not accept the payment! Don't use these heartless SOBs for your investments! Sad that they are willing to lose customers over a BS $400 fee!

They push the "2 day" FedEx shipping but take 3-4 days to process. They charged me immediately then sent me an email saying that my order will not ship till next month on an item that shows "available" online. Garbage

Presale/delayed items do show as available on the site, however, you cannot place the order without acknowledging the ship date for the item. You have to physically check the box agreeing to the ship date.

Please take into consideration there are different internal processing times for the diverse payment methods. Payment processing times are as follows:

Order placed on 3-18, checked was cleared on 3-27, received email about extended waiting time. A week ago I sent them another email, was told that my order is being prepared. As of 4-06, nothing was sent, and I don't have neither gold nor money. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE

Our website does have a discloser during the checkout screen, and our CEO also sent out a message to all of our customer base explaining our current situation here at SD Bullion. Our current ship times, as advertised on our website, are as follows:

Once received, e-check, personal check, money order and cashier's check take 3-5 business days to process through our accounting system. After that, it usually takes orders 6-8 business days to process through the shipping queue due to high order volume but could take slightly longer.

Thus, the total time from when payment is received to when the order leaves the fulfillment center is generally 10-12 business days. When your order is ready to ship out of the fulfillment center, you will receive an email with shipping and tracking information.

If shipment is lost you will wait two months to get made whole. They don't care. Use coin shop,safer. Update: 3/28/23. Thanks for the canned response CEO of SD Bullion. If you had checked, I have been waiting since my original order on 2/8/2023. I responded to all your company "fully insured shipment" requests for information, notarized forms on the same day I received them via email. What you didn't explain in your review response for people to see is a customer (my personal experience) will wait one week while you let the shipper investigate. Then the request for insurance form comes and the insurance process starts. I asked your customer service rep on the phone the same day they received my faxed, notarized form how long it will be, he stated the longest he has seen a claim take is 30 days. Now you tell me it always takes 30 days. I called on 3/15, the customer service rep told me it was scheduled to ship on 3/27. Next week on 3/22 I got an email saying that my original items were out of stock, did I want a refund or take generics. I responded back the same day saying send the generics. Rachel said she would get that sent over to get taken care of. Now due to unprecedented demand my email gets an automated reply that i will get a response in 24 - 48 Business Hours. If thats not a typo from ZenDesk, that 3 - 6 business days. I called this morning and due to unprecedented demand after 15 minutes of waiting the customer is told by message there is nobody available to take their call and try email.
I understand your problems with the demand but how about some priority for a long time customer who has been waiting through no fault of their own for their product that they got charged for over six weeks ago. That's my frustration and what people need to know before they use online dealers. Maybe more selection but when this happens is it worth it? And people, if their insurance company decides that maybe you got your package, not as clearly stolen or lost as mine was, do you think you will ever see your thousands of dollars? Fully insured just like your house and car doesn't mean the insurance company is going to pay up due to exclusions and limitations. Tyler if you respond to this again, please tell me you personally had order ******* re-shipment expedited. I will update again to let folks know what happened.

Bought silver from them at 30 an Oz. Never showed up. When I called about my order they said I selected to have my metal stored with them. (I didn't) they wouldn't refund or be helpful in any way and said I had two choices. Either I pay the 35 dollar restock fee, or the shipping for it to be shipped to my house. The shipping is cheaper than the fee, so I said sure just ship it to me. Then the person says the metal that was 30 an Oz. Has to be shipped on "current" market value (that is understandable) and I'm done at this point, so I say ok what's the current value? The person says 31 an Oz. I say ok and he makes the charge for shipping and 31 an Oz. Then I hang up. Then I checked the current market price and it was 27 per oz. And called them back and called them out on it. He says I was right and will honor the original pice of 30 an Oz. Not the current market price of 27 an Oz. Even though the first call they said they had to charge me current market price, but now didn't because it was a negative for them. When I asked for the workers name he gave a AL V. Fake $#*! name and wouldn't get me in contact with anyone else. I will not buy from SD bullion ever again and if you can stay away from this company do it. They will lie and "nickel and dime" you, but when it's bad on them they cut the customer off and leave you in the dark. I had to get my bank involved to get my money back, and still haven't yet.

When checking out online, customers have the ability to either ship metals to their address, or have them stored at the depository. Because the original purchase was a locked in trade, we could either cancel this order, continue sending the metals to the depository, or change the shipping address so the items could be delivered to you. With the cancellation option, per our Terms of Use, cancellations are calculated as 5% of the order total or $35, whichever is greater, plus any applicable market loss. Alternatively, we could ship the metals to your address. We offer free shipping and insurance for orders over $199. A standard shipping fee was charged because any order $199.00 or less will incur a flat rate of $9.95, which is necessary to cover shipping and insurance.

I do apologize for the overcharge on your order. When our customer service agent remade the order, the credit card fee was accidently applied twice. We have been attempting to reach you through phone and email to rectify this situation. We can either issue a refund for the overcharge of $3.80, or offer a $5 coupon for this inconvenience. I placed an order with SD mon 3/20 and sent a wire thru Bof A rt away. It says money has to be recieved 1-2 days after the order is placed. I was out of town but called my back later that weekend to see if my wire transfer went through. They couldnt find it. I figured my first order was expired so i placed another order, not only paying the higher price but also doubling my order. I again wired the money again. That one went through. I called to explain to Birch what happened and they threatened me and said i have to either pay 35 cancellation fee or the full order amount of the first order. Heck of a way to thank people for their business and their persistence to do biz with their company. I spoke to Frank, the customer service manager and he refused to let me speak to his manager, refused to give me his full name and refused to give me his employee ID number. He would not give me someone above him to speak with.

Go to birch gold or goldsilver.com. More polite customer service

Precious Metals-Avoid this seller. Horrible customer service-immediately started with threatening me. I literally placed a second order where i doubled the amount bc i thought the first one was cancelled.

I totally understand that you're behind in your orders.But a $500 dollar minimum order alienates the same People that helped your business grow.I don't have the extra money each month for your minimum order which really sucks because I really like your company.I'll be back when and if you ever decide to drop this ridiculous policy.God Bless

I bought $4000 on gold earlier this year from as bullion and it took forever for it to come. I also had a problem with the cancellation of some silver that I had bought. I did not know until the end of the transaction, that it was really only one coin that was discounted. They threaten to take me to collections, and in the end, I paid them almost $200 and got nothing in return. I asked if I could use it towards the purchase of other products and I was denied. The first phone conversation I was told all fees would be waived, but they continued to send me letters telling me I was going to be sent to collections. I typically spend between 10 and $15,000 a year on precious metals and will be doing business with anyone, but them.

Your products are moved out of our inventory and held for you, and we hedge our price based off the market price at the time you submit your order. After locking in my price for 800 silver rounds and paying $220.00 shipping not to mention paying more for quicker delivery $30.00 they renigged/ refused the agreement. Said they called me a few times, LIARS… unless my new iPhone 14 plus I just paid $1100 for is lying? NOT Would Not let me speak to a manager. OFFERED me $1600 LESS…. SCAM - ToTALLY…. Shorted me on my first payment. Not to mention a week late. You're better off making a wish and throwing em in a water fountain. Said managerERIC would return my call15 min. Been2 hours guess they didn't pay phone bill?

Unfortunately, the market had gone down which explains the change in price. We didn't pay you when we received the first 400 rounds because the original purchase order was for 800 rounds and we have to receive all of the product before sending payment. We are currently working on sending your metals back to you.

I've spent several thousand dollars in the past couple of months with this company and they convey they are a good Christan company who "does business the old fashioned way" and they "deliver the highest quality products". These are their words. Their actions however, speak louder than their empty words. I wanted to trust they would ship me (BU) brilliant uncirculated coins and rounds without obvious glaring flaws. Instead, and on more than one instance, I receive flawed coins and rounds, (30) rounds all with the same exact flaw. Then Frank in their customer service tells me if I ship these ones back that they won't guarantee that the exchange ones I'll get will be any better and that they could even be worse. No guarantees! How's that for service the old fashioned way, and the highest quality products? These are their words

Tip for consumers:
Shop elsewhere. They give an illusion they are a good Christian company but they are only words. Actions, or in this case, inactions speak louder than words. If you're not completely satisfied at other online dealers they will pay the return shipping because they genuinely mean what they say.

Thank you for your feedback! Bullion coins tend to have minor imperfections from the manufacturing process. This has no impact on the value of the bullion. If you would like to exchange the products you received, we would be happy to do so.

However, in the interest of transparency and honesty, our representative was accurate by letting you know the exchange coins could have minor imperfections as well. We would like to bring to your attention that we do have graded and proof editions. If you are a collector looking for flawless coins, we would recommend purchasing graded MS70 or proof editions of the bullion coins. Graded and proof coins are inspected by the mint for quality of strike and for any flaws.

I went online to purchase from this company. In checking out, I accidentally hit the pay by check instead of the credit card option. Once this happened, I could no longer move forward or backwards in the system. I could not uncheck the option to change it to credit. I backed out of the page and re-ordered the product. Weeks later I got a bill for a cancelled order. I never hit the place order button. Not only that, but the bill that came was for the 35.00 cancellation fee, plus a 47.46 market loss ( silver price barely moved) and a cancellation fee of 47.46. When I tried to contact them about this, they had no interest in being reasonable. This is their policy. Fraud. Do not do business with this company.

Cancellation fees are calculated as 5% of the order total or $35, whichever is greater, plus any applicable market loss. Every customer must agree to these terms prior to submitting their order, whether they place the order online or over the phone with an agent.

When an order is placed, we email you the order confirmation. In addition, we email you letting you know we are still awaiting payment for an order if we have not received it after 7 days of placing the order. We then call you for payment. Finally, the order is cancelled if we do not hear back.

The coins I receive from this company are poor quality compared to its competition like Apmex and JM Bullion. A good knick right behind his neck that just draws your eyes right to it. Coin was also not in its flip and was freely moving around in the bubble wrap. Last shipment was a tube of brittanias missing the foam insert and you can guess the quality of those coins. I suppose that's why they undercut the others by a few dollars but I'm tired of spending money on poor quality. Won't do business with SD Bullion again. Will continue dealing with Apmex, JM Bullion and others.

Tip for consumers:
Highly recommend Apmex or JM Bullion. Their quality is better and I feel they actually care about their customers and would like them to be repeat customers.

Quality is worse than competitors.

Somehow, spot prices were different, (their advantage), than any other spot price found online. Was told there would be "no slicks", not true. Have many that have no dates. I have only checked part of a bag. Look at the one in the center of the pic. The ones without any part of a date, will be hard to sell as junk silver. I do not think that DS Bullion would buy them.

Just keep in mind, that some of the things I was told, were not true. Other reviews have similar complaints.

I used SD Bullion for my first silver purchase. I did not complete my order when I was on the site my first time and when I went back into the site I could not find my order so I placed another order AND PAID FOR IT. Today over a month later I got a bill in the mail that I owe $1476.00. I called and was told I had a chance to pay the cancellation fee of $476. But since I didn't respond to emails or 2 calls they made to me I have to pay this fee. I would pay with no problem if
FIRST, I did not call their company looking for help to find my original order to complete and the rep on the phone did not explain anything about fees and their exorbitant 50% monthly charge if it's not paid.
AND SECOND, I DID PLACE an order and PAID FOR IT so they did get a sale.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY they are great taking your money but horrible in explaining their policies. Again I called them to help find my order and since they couldn't seem bothered to explain or look for my order I would not recommend them at all.

They lied about ACH payment after I placed a large order. They then threatened with excessive penalty fees if the order was canceled. Stay far away from this company.

We do not accept ACH transfers as a method of payment, but we do have e-checks! This is a similar transaction where you input your banking account and routing information and we pull directly from there. Orders over $10,000 do not qualify for this payment method, which is why it does not show up as a payment option when customers check out with an order over that amount. Because this order was placed as a bank wire on the website, the order became a locked in trade. Submitting an order through the website or by phone requires the customer to agree to our full terms of use, including SD Bullions order cancellation policy. Cancellation fees are an industry standard. Because we operate in a live market, once an order is submitted it becomes a locked trade. Your products are moved out of our inventory and held for you, and we hedge our price based off the market price at the time you submit your order.
