Awful
October 17, 2024

Its just bad. Nothing about it is intuitive, the reading is limited, annotation tools suck and the curriculum is bad. As a student, it makes me mad seeing school districts wasting needed cash on useless programs like this when a book would suffice. Worst part is, THEY GIVE US A BOOK WITH EVERYTHING IN IT...
And dont let us use it...

Savvas is very boring! It makes people not want to do it. I think they should either make it more fun or take it away altogether! > :(

Savvas Is Terrible
December 10, 2024

If I could do a 0 star review, I would. This company is terrible. It has to low of a curriculum and it is terrible. In all of my life, I've never seen a worse math reviewer than Success maker. More like failmaker. So all in all NEVER use success maker I'm a good person and I don't like the math business.

Too old
October 10, 2024

Savvas sucks we all know that, It looks like I made it. It is so outdated that I saw info about MP3 PLAYERS in our Savvas books. ( digital versions of the books are also available on the website) The first MP3 player was created in 1998, in my opinion, the iPhone (which was released in 2007) is when MP3 players died, let's assume that the year that I saw it (2023) was the year they removed it still would have taken them SIXTEEN YEARS to get rid of it. But they probably haven't, and if they still have extremely outdated information, It is not a stretch to assume that most of the other information is outdated.

The online textbook has absolutely no way to navigate by page number. There is a search function that returns multiple pages that *mention* the page number, including Table of Contents and Index pages, but no way to actually get to, say, page 158 directly. Instead, students must navigate a Web 1.0 style labyrinth of nested sections with unhelpful labels like "Text sets." People don't use this service by choice, they use this service because Pearson dumped it on them rather than supporting their own product.

I was just going through and then it explained how jellyfish mate. It said that it sticks its tentacles in the other's mouth and produced sperm. And I just say that another just goes from watching fish grow up to people poisoning the water and killing them. I understand doing that but they showed a picture of the fish dead with pale white eyes. 1 star.

IT SUCKS
January 22, 2024

Literally the worst developed website ever. A dead goldfish could program something better using scratch. Like seriously, how many loading screens are there. Like it takes 5 minutes just to open a text book, and theres ALWAYS errors. Like this is more unstable than the Microsoft store.

SAVVAS SUCKS
December 1, 2022

The questions period don't make sense. They are unclear and annoying- making kids dread schoolwork because of the site. ANYTHING would be better. It makes assignments that are meant to take 30 mins end up taking an hour and a half. Savvas sucks.

Pearson/Savvas Realize
September 10, 2020

Educators, do not buy this curriculum program! It is a waste of money. Their online platform rarely works. Links are constantly under construction with promises of teams of people working around the clock to provide a better product that... never comes. The customer/teacher support is severely lacking. (That's putting it kindly.) Once they have your money, they drop you like a hot rock. Trust me, look elsewhere.

A waste of time
February 7, 2021

Savvas realize is okay, but it shows the wrong answers including how i put an answer with a negative sign which i double checked with a calculator but said that i was wrong. Now, I'm wasting hours of my three day weekend doing this homework when i could be doing something better or doing Khan Academy. These people need to check their answers. My brain cells are slowly going away now and my head hurts.

The worst! Please note that you must give at least a 1 in order to leave a review and they barely have a score over a 1 on several different review sites. I don't know who chose to use this program for distanced learning during the pandemic but they obviously didn't do any research and therefore should be fired.

This program is such a waste of time! For instance, my son didn't watch the video's because he understood it. Then it took away 57 points away from him! I wish his teachers would switch the program to maybe khan academy where he would actually see how good he did! Never coming back on this!

I dislike this site with such a violent, bloody passion. Never in my life have I met such an impatient, passive aggressive math site. I waste all of my "points" so I am able to understand the one, specific problem. And for what? To have my problem recreated using different numbers. This is completely unacceptable while completing any form of math, which problems are common to eager students. This completely ruins any aspect of enjoyable learning, or at least as enjoyable as it may be.

Many of the stories in the book feel like repetition in the lessons, and the worksheets that go along with it do not provide enough material to challenge the kids and prevents them from being able to get to their best level of literacy.

Sadly I am a student who has to use this. So let me begin with the textbook. They don't give you any space for you to put your work in the book. And the website, their videos don't help with anything but hurting your brain. Plus, the games are so cheaply made. If I was a teacher and had to use this or I would get fired I think I would be better off being fired than be hated by my students.

Horrible Product
March 24, 2020

We have been doing work assigned by teachers for about two weeks using several systems. This one is very slow and difficult to work with. It is by far the worst system. I would rate all the others good or excellent. I tried to give it a zero, but 1 is the lowest.

The concept is great, execution is horrible. I teach middle school (7/8) Science, and every class period I'm having students clear their cache, reload the program, and about 10-15% of students can't submit their work OR it gets erased. DAILY! As the year has progressed, the program has gotten worse, not better. I'm going to finish the year with it and then just use Google Classroom.

I am not a teacher, but as a mom who has worked with my own kids, I have seen what works and what doesn't. This doesn't work at all. Who teaches something by testing you first. Who teaches something by asking them complicated word problems with no examples and no solutions. They don't know if they are doing it right or not. Then comes the Test. By the time of the assessment which is 80% of the grade, they are just confused, scared, and worried. If that was your objective, then you have succeeded. Who is designing this curriculum? Why not try to remember what it was like to be in 4th grade and start there instead of starting from a PhD level and trying to teach down to the kids like they are inferior. These children are smart and capable of learning if you will take the time to LEARN how to teach.
