I'm a student (bear with me) and I HATE Savvas, not because its homework and crap like that, because its stupid, heck a TREE would be a better teacher, it says incorrect when its right, way to sensitive, and one time it asked me a question which wasn't even INVOLVED with the explanation, doesn't even teach people how to do it, all it's good for is NOTHING. Why is THIS the favorite service from school? There are much better (and cheaper ones). One example of this is Khan Academy, great videos, great educators, my school actually used to use it before replacing it with Savvas. Khan Academy is better and cheaper, did they have to switch? I think most students find this relatable. All it's good for is examples for your kid of what online practice things look like. Thank you for your patience of reading this LOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNGGGGGGG thing.

My school district sadly signed a contract for five years with this program and I will now have to use it until I graduate (I am a sophomore in HS). When I say this is the worst website I have ever used to do school work I genuinely mean it. Savvas and I-Ready are nearly tied on being the worst websites I've ever come across for learning. First off, the loading for the pages is extremely slow and my classmates often have to restart the website in order for it to load which takes away valuable class time. Secondly, the website will sign you out if you do not edit anything you are working on for an unknown period of time. This usually would only be a slight annoyance if it didn't DELETE ALL OF YOUR WORK. I just spent an hour working on an assignment and once I pressed "turn in" the website logged me out saying "we haven't heard from you in a while, please sign back in." Once I signed back in I noticed that all of my hard work was completely gone with absolutely no way of retrieving it. This deletion problem also occurs when you work on one tab of an assignment and then go to another one. We are living in 2022, with the most insane technology that people twenty years ago couldn't have even fathomed. How come you can't prioritize making your website save the content that is typed into it? Nearly every website EVER has this function in place, and if a crash was to happen they have backups ready so you don't have to redo an entire assignment or essay. Third of all, the learning courses and tests they make you do are HORRIBLE. They will teach you an entire lesson and when it comes to taking the test they will focus on a very small detail of the lesson instead of questions on all the key subjects of the lesson. All of my classmates and teachers absolutely hate using this site, so much so that every single one of my teachers tries to avoid it as much as possible. My math teacher doesn't use it at all, my science teacher rarely picks pieces from the lessons/notes on the site, my history teacher writes all of our tests and most of our worksheets, and my English teacher only makes us read the stories they provide for us only because she has to. The site has potential to be good, but currently, it is complete garbage. Please, PLEASE spare your teaching board and students from using this God-awful website in order to learn.
Avoid it like a plague, if you can try talking to your teachers about ways to avoid using it in order to spare you and everyone from having to endure how terrible it is.
