Ruth's Roses failed to deliver my order and would not return my money. I ordered a large, expensive, bouquet to be delivered. The recipient received something different, smaller, and far-less expensive. Fortunately, my friend sent a picture so I could see the attempted theft in progress. I spoke with multiple customer-service agents who lied to me, kept me on hold for lengthy periods of time, told me there was no supervisor when there actually was one on hand. And the company persisted in neither fixing the problem or refunding my money when I realized it was not going to be fixed. These people are dishonest, treat customers badly, and will rip you off if you're not careful. Take your business elsewhere.

Ruth's Roses are Scammers!

Just a few days ago, on July 14th, 2025, it was my sister's fiancé's birthday. She asked me to help her order flowers as a surprise, and I placed an order through their website, not knowing at the time that these people are complete scammers.
I called them on Monday, July 14th, because their website states that same-day delivery is available for orders placed before 2 PM. My sister requested that the flowers be delivered between 5–6 PM, as her fiancé would be home by then. She chose the "My Rosy Valentine" bouquet under the Birthday category, and I paid for it, including an extra $4.99 for a special birthday card, all using my credit card.
By 7 PM, my sister called me to say the flowers hadn't arrived. I tried calling the company multiple times, and when I finally got through, they claimed the flowers had been delivered at exactly 6:19 PM. But her fiancé never received anything, no flowers, no phone call, nothing, despite me providing all the necessary delivery details, including his phone number.
To make matters worse, when I demanded proof of delivery, it took them two full days to respond. And when they finally did, the image they sent was a blurry, unprofessional photo of some flowers left at a random doorstep. The photo made no sense; the house clearly wasn't my sister's fiancé's (wrong paint color, a welcome mat he doesn't own, and even the door wasn't even close to being his door), and the flowers in the photo didn't even match the bouquet we ordered. Even more shockingly, the person who took the photo was visibly barefoot, shirtless, and wearing shorts, their reflection showed clearly.
Despite all this, the company keeps insisting that the flowers were delivered and only said they had "escalated the issue" and would get back to me. That was the last I heard from them.
Please be extremely careful, this company is running a scam. If I can, I'll also attach both the picture of the bouquet we ordered and the so-called "proof of delivery" they sent, so others can see the difference.

Not happy at all

I ordered Mother's Day flowers on the day after as my daughter in law would not be home on Mother's Day. I was told the address was "right around the corner" (New Braunfels, TX) and it was "no problem" for same day delivery. They even said, "thank you for shopping locally." I have since learned that the main office is in Florida. The flowers never arrived. I was told they were given to the delivery people and they would follow up. No one called back. I called again Tuesday and was told the callback time was 24 to 48 hours. I called Wednesday, I stated that I wanted a full refund and was told the same thing, "we're investigating and I'll make a note of it and get back to you by Friday." No one called by late Friday afternoon. I called again, and was given the same line, "I made a note of it, and we're investigating it." I asked to speak to someone in management or administration and was told they were not available. So here it is, late Friday afternoon. My daughter-in-law has not received any flowers and I have no refund. I spent over a hundred dollars which has already been charged to my bank account.

I ordered a house plant for a birthday and new home present. Total bill 93.88. Nothing was even sent! Could not get anyone on the phone for 2 days. Then was told the order was cancelled as they were out of stock and they sent me an email. Did not get an email! Called my credit card company. They already had the money! These people are scammers

Let me save you the headache. Ruth's Roses is a dishonest and fraudulent company. If you take five minutes to read the reviews, you'll see the red flags are everywhere. People constantly report receiving dead or wilted flowers, arrangements that look nothing like what was advertised, or worse, nothing at all. I ignored the warnings and placed an order anyway. I got a pending charge on my bank account, but the transaction was never processed. It completely vanished. I called Capital One, and they confirmed that the charge was never finalized. There is no record of this company taking any money from my account. But here's where they messed up. Ruth's Roses still claimed the order was delivered. They sent me a fake invoice and a vague confirmation that included no photo proof, no tracking, and no details on how or where the order was supposedly delivered. I asked repeatedly for real delivery confirmation, and all they could say was they were checking with their delivery team. Days passed. Still nothing. This company is lying. How can they claim something was delivered when they never even processed a payment? What did they supposedly deliver? How did they pay for it? The answer is, they didn't. Because the order was never real. Their reviews say it all. Dozens of people have had the exact same experience. No card included. Wrong flowers. Late deliveries. Dead arrangements. Excuses and delays when you try to reach someone. It's not just poor service. It's a pattern of shady, deceptive business practices. Ruth's Roses is not a legitimate floral service. Their customer service is evasive, their documentation is fake, and they clearly rely on stalling tactics hoping people will stop asking questions. They got caught. And I'm not the only one. You can do better. Shop somewhere else.

I spent over $80 for same day delivery. They said it would go out at 2 pm. No delivery. Then 5 pm. No delivery. Then 7 pm. No delivery. Then 9 pm. No delivery. I demanded a refund. They refused. Said they needed to do a 48 hour " investigation." I willl be filing complaints everywhere possible.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!
I ordered the, Thoughts of Tranquility floor basket, for my partner's fathers visitation service. I was very disappointed and embarrassed, when I received a picture of what was delivered.
Clearly, not what I paid for.
Lesson learned.
I told them, I would like a refund for false advertising. We'll see.

Should Be Ashamed

I would do a zero if I could! I ordered 10 days before funeral and I got garbage! Wrong color, no backing, and not put together well. Added pictures to show what I ordered, compared to what actually got.

Customer service is poor. Ruth's Roses is not committed to delivering quality service or a quality product. I have attempted to contact Ruth's Roses through phone and email. The customer service representatives directed me to write emails to receive resolution, but I never receive a response. I have sent numerous emails over the last 2 weeks and have not received response or resolution. The product in which I paid was not what was delivered. The photos attached is from the website vs an premium upgrade. The website shows a deluxe arrangement -- I paid for premium, which is an upgrade from the deluxe. Haven't received any acknowledgement or resolution from Ruth's Roses. Terrible company and wouldn't recommend using them for floral needs. Use a different florist is my personal recommendation.

My 95-year-old mother wanted to surprise me with a meaningful floral arrangement featuring Bird of Paradise flowers—just like the ones in my wedding bouquet 50 years ago. Ruth's Roses assured her they had them in stock and would send exactly what she ordered. They charged her $130. Instead of sending what she ordered, they sent a much cheaper arrangement with NO Bird of Paradise flowers at all- completely disregarding what she paid for - the arrangement looked nothing like what she had ordered.
Since then, I've called them multiple times, only to be ignored. When I did get through, they made empty promises to call me back—but never did. Their complete lack of accountability and customer care is appalling.
This is not just about flowers; it's about integrity. They took advantage of a kind, elderly woman and refused to make things right. If only my mother had checked their reviews first! Don't make the same mistake—stay far away from this dishonest company.

THEY ARE A SCAM

I deeply regret placing an order with Ruth's Roses. Despite their assurances, my delivery was not made on time. When I contacted customer service, they were unhelpful and refused to issue a refund, stating they don't guarantee delivery times. This experience has been frustrating and disappointing. I strongly advise others to avoid making the same mistake. (I rate 1 start because it is obligatory but I wish I could leave it blank)

Pretty sure this "business" scouts the local cemetery for recent burials to repurpose the flowers. Absolutely the worst. The arrangement was delivered and was NOTHING like the arrangement that was purchased - We contacted the "florist" & not surprisingly - they were not interested in refunding or redoing the arrangement. Most likely it was a light week at the cemetery...

I thought I was buying local but they were not showing up today, I sent a couple emails but wasn't gotten back to until after 6pm saying they could not fulfill my order due to supplies? Now my daughter has no flowers for her bday - if I was told earlier I could have went & got some myself! Be careful where you order even though I did a google search this place came up as local..

My son in law got my daughter some birthday flowers and it looked nothing like what they delivered. They charged a service fee of $18.99 without even telling him. The experience was bad. The flowers were over priced for what they delivered. He paid $72.48 for that ugly vase and flowers. He felt so embarrassed.

Wow, worst I have ever dealt with. Save you time and money! Don't order from Ruth's.
I Called Ruth's to have flowers delivered to a friend in the hospital. $100.00 arrangement, I ordered on Friday for Saturday delivery. Didn't order anything out of the ordinary, I ordered one of their suggested arrangements. Saturday night, flowers still not delivered, called Ruth's around 7:00 pm they said they were "out for delivery". Sunday at Noon, flowers still not delivered. Called Ruths AGAIN, they told me they did not have the flowers to fulfill my order. Said they will send them on Monday. So they lied to me when they said they were "out for delivery" when in fact, they had not even fulfilled my order. If they had told me that in the first place, i could have ordered from another florist and been able to have gotten my friend flowers while still in the hospital. They didn't even bother to contact me to inform me my order would not be arriving and they had my email and phone number - But they certainly charged my credit card immediately. My friend never did receive the flowers so now I am trying to get my refund. I will dispute the charge if they are not capable of getting my card credited. They aren't capable of fulfilling an order for flowers so i would imagine they certainly aren't capable of giving me my money back.

This is a terrible florist. I placed an order with them because they claimed to be local to Canyon Lake in my search. My order was placed for same day delivery if ordered by 2pm. My order was completed by 10am. Around 2:30pm I called and reached someone and made an inquiry about the order and just wanted to know when it would be delivered. This was supposed to be a surprise birthday delivery. He indicated the order had already been delivered or was on the truck out for delivery. I continued to ask questions because I did not feel like the person I was speaking to was sure of the information he was providing. I discovered that they are not a local florist as advertised but they source out to local florist. I inquired as to which local florist they sourced to on my order and he could not answer. He assured me that my order would be delivered by 7:00pm. We ended the call. I started to feel like I had probably been scammed. At 5:00pm I received an email apologizing that they could not fulfill my order. At this point, it was too late to send the special surprise flowers from another florist to arrive on her actual birthday. I should receive my money back in 3-5 business days.
