Ruth's Roses engages in DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES and CONSUMER FRAUD!
June 12, 2025

I was outraged at the subpar flower arrangement that Ruth's Roses delivered on Mother's Day. This was the cheapest looking flower arrangement I have ever seen and was embarrassed to have sent it to my mother. Ruth's Roses engages in DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES and CONSUMER FRAUD and the public should avoid doing business with this company. Here's my story: I paid more than $150 for a PREMIUM flower arrangement for delivery. A PREMIUM arrangement is supposed to be top of the line. When it arrived, the arrangement had a total of only 8 roses and 3 lilies and some of the flowers even had burnt tips. The sample bouquet that is shown on their website is a DELUXE bouquet (which is a LESS expensive arrangement than the Premium bouquet I ordered). Ruth's Roses told me that the PREMIUM bouquet would have MORE flowers. Instead, the bouquet that was delivered had LESS flowers. The deluxe bouquet pictured on the website has 12 roses and the flowers delivered had only 8 roses and 3 lilies. In other words, I paid extra for the Premium bouquet, but they delivered a bouquet that was not even up to par for the less expensive Deluxe bouquet. That's DECEPTIVE. BOTTOM LINE: I paid EXTRA money for the Premium arrangement and received much less than was promised. This is CONSUMER FRAUD. I paid a total of $154.86 and received a bouquet that looks like I purchased it from a grocery store for $35. They offered an apology and a very nominal discount. However, the damage was already done. The company sent a sparse flower arrangement and I was embarrassed that my mother received such a cheap looking arrangement on her special day. RUTH'S ROSES ENGAGES IN DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES! STAY AWAY FROM RUTH'S ROSES!

A negative 5 star review, SCAM alert
January 31, 2025

Too bad we can't leave minus 1-5 stars, Scam company! Find another florist. Placed an order, sympathy arrangement, it was never delivered! Called from the funeral home and the rep outright LIED to me and said I was sent an email letting me know there was a "supply issue" and the order would not be sent. There was NO EMAIL, I asked why couldn't you call? You had my phone #? Just a "fly by night wanabe" florist. When I called the next day after returning home, the rep said email customer service. Same reply it was a "supply issue" What REAL florist can not get flowers or plants? Just ridiculous, stay away from this company because you will not get your order. Very disappointing! I said "send another plant to the widow's address of the diseased." They still insist they can't do that due to a "supply issue". Never again Ruth Roses #ruthsrosesscam #ruthsrosesterribleservice #ruthsrosesneverdelivers #avoidruthsroses

Scammy Lying Site
July 31, 2024

Horrible! I thought I had done everything right. A relative had broken a hip and arm. I first checked the hospital but they did not have a website so I could not see what a bouquet would look like. I then checked the florists in Bristol TN and did not want one that parceled the order out, I wanted a real florist close to the medical center. Ruths showed that they were close by. When I called Ruths' a woman answered and I asked if they were close to this specific medical center to which she replied yes. I spent time agonizing over which bouquet to select and this woman stated she could give me 5% off if I ordered with her over the phone.

She got my credit card #, phone, and address and I felt good that the order (even with a high delivery fee) for over $90 would be on its way. As soon as I hung up the phone, I received a call from *******633. It was the same woman with the Vietnamese or Phillipine accent. She stated that she did not have any florist nearby the medical center and my order was canceled and the charge would be reversed. This was exactly what I had questioned her about when the phone call began and remember, she told me they were nearby that specific medical center. Infuriating. Scammy. I called my bank and cancelled my credit card. She has my phone and address and email!

Horrible person. Scammy. I believe any review that is more than 1 star on their site is a fake review, I doubt if they are a florist at all. Remember they can pay people for fake reviews. I would have given minus 5 stars if possible. If legitimate, she would have checked to see if a florist was nearby first PRIOR to taking ALL OF MY PERSONAL INFORMATION! Plus on the website they stated they were in this town! THESE PEOPLE MAY BE STEALING INFORMATION FOR IDENTITY THEFT!

I seriously doubt if there is a florist named Ruth's.

They owe me money for three hours of my time!

MY BANKER TOLD ME THE CHARGE WAS REVERSED SO IT COULD NOT BE DISPUTED. IT DOES NOT SHOW UP AS PENDING SO I HAVE NO RECEIPT. MY PROBLEM IS THAT THEY TOOK ALL OF MY PERSONAL INFORMATION BASED ON THE WOMAN LYING TO ME AND I FEAR IDENTITY THEFT IN THE FUTURE.

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!

If I could give Ruth's Roses ZERO Stars, I would

DO NOT ORDER FLOWERS FROM RUTH'S ROSES!
I ordered a dozen red roses from Ruth's Roses on 24 July with a requested delivery date of 25 July. I called on the morning of 25 July to see if the company could provide an approximate time for when the roses would be delivered. The customer service representative told me could not provide a time. She confirmed for me that the roses were to be delivered at the address I provided. She told me the driver would contact the resident when the roses were going to be delivered. I also asked her if she saw the special instructions about going to the Leasing Office of the Apartment Complex the flowers were to be delivered to. She said she could see the special instructions. I asked her to make sure the driver had the instructions. She told me she would make a special note for the driver to ensure he saw the instructions. I provided specific instructions for the delivery driver to go to the Leasing Office and ask for the Leasing Manager so they could get access to the apartment to deliver the roses or at leave them in the leasing office. I also provided the resident's phone number as she was to be contacted to inform her the roses were going to be delivered and coordinate a time for her to be at the apartment.
None of this happened. The driver left the roses outside the apartment. He made no effort to contact the resident or to go to the Leasing Office to deliver the roses. I checked with the resident, and she told me no one contacted her in regard to the roses. I also spoke to the Leasing Office, and no one came to the office to coordinate access to the apartment or to drop off the roses at the leasing office.
When I called the leasing office on 26 July, they informed me the roses had been left outside of the apartment. They could see the roses sitting on the ground outside the apartment. They told me the flowers must have been delivered on the 25th either during or after business hours. They could not tell me if they were delivered before or after business hours because no one contacted them or came to the office.
The email I received from Ruth's Roses told me that the roses were delivered at 4:01pm on the 25th of July. That is before the Leasing Office closed. So that means the driver ignored my instructions as well as the instructions your customer service representative provided. The driver made no attempt to contact the resident to coordinate a time to deliver the roses so she could be present to accept the roses.
I had to ask the Leasing Office to go and pick up the roses off the ground and put them inside the apartment. They were kind enough to do so as the resident was away at the time and would not be at the apartment until later in the day.
What kind of customer service is this? What did I pay ~$100.00 for? If this is the quality of work the company provides, I would NEVER USE RUTH'S ROSES AGAIN AND I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE.
These roses were supposed to be delivered to the resident on 25 July because it was to a housewarming gift as she was moving into this new apartment that day. This did not happen. The opportunity to make this a special day was spoiled by this company and its poor and unprofessional delivery process.
When I spoke to the Customer Service Representative, she told me someone from the company would contact me to address my concerns. All I received was an email informing me one day late that the flowers had been "delivered". Delivered? Is that what they call this? These were discarded or better yet, abandoned by an irresponsible driver with no accountability for what he failed to do.
I told the company I expected them to look into this and determine what happened. This is dereliction of duty by the driver and the failure of this company and its processes.
I enjoy doing Google reviews. I would post this on Google as well, but Ruth's Roses has no address. They conveniently list only a mailbox ensuring no dissatisfied customers can come to their office. It's a good thing, because based on the number of poor reviews I see, Ruth's Roses would have a long line standing at their door.
