This app is horrible. Says no fee but they make extra by skimming profits on your trades. They randomly limit trading of certain stocks, without warning, if their hedge fund buddies are shorting it. Does not care about you, the retail investor. Motto is a lie. I used them for years and will be moving all my money to other brokers.

I invested some money back in September, thankfully not too much. Now I am locked out of my account. I believe it was hacked. They are asking me for documentation/proof of who I am that I need to send them. I then looked up reviews and found this has happened to many people using Robinhood. It's frustrating because you can't talk to someone from customer support, it's all via email.

Every business success is their customer service management. They have none. They have no one to talk to, nowhere to escalate an issue to. They restricted my account because the bank said payment was reverse. Okay, I told them charge your fees let's move on. But they've insisted on wasting my time for several weeks. Asking for a bank statement that was not yet available. Once I finally submitted all the documents they required. They still came up with some bad faith customer service. I really see them losing half of their customers because of reps like" Alan ". I am fuming but they have the monopole of free platforms. They do not perform an analysis of the people complaint. My stocks worth *******$ were sold and the money was moved to some revolut account in 10 mins. I tried to call the robinhood customer care within the 10 mins of the transaction happened. But it doesn't work. We only need to sent email. I have sent tens of emails to cancel the transaction, as it was in the pending state. I got an email that we are looking into the issue but they didn't cancel the transaction. Now the transaction is completed am my money is gone. No reply yet from customer care. Don't know how to proceed with the complaint or take legal action. Kindly suggest.

It's worked out for me

I have been on Robinhood a while and I do enjoy using it (unless my stocks are falling lol). I like having control over my stocks personally but I suggest that people start slow because no matter who you use to trade, the stock market can go really well or really bad. The key is researching anything you plan to invest in as much as you can before buying any stock (things might look better/worse once you put some hours into learning more).

The good is that I have control over my stocks and in my experience, response time to my emails has been good (I do have a large chunk of money with them and I am unsure if that effects anything).

The downside is site glitches. The worst is when I can not log in for a while but thankfully it gets resolved quickly most of the time and it is pretty rare.

About 3 years ago i put 1,000 into Robinhood and used the service to add 3,000 more over time. Upon downloading new app which Robinhood asked me to do, my account went to zero. No way to reach any life person. Try calling their phone number. Email help is no help. Would not recommend. Finally got 4k out by using old software and old password in different computer. RH let's you start investing and trading easily. No waiting days for funds they have instant deposit that's let's you start trading same day. Just verify your account to add funds and you are good to go. This GME crap yesterday was started with a private company's security breach and that group on reddit started all of that craziness with insider information. So stop blaming RH when Webull, Etrade, and Schwab did the same thing because of the SEC statement saying there was inside market manipulation. Ignorance of the law is NO excuse!

Randomly signs you out of your account, then your Touch ID and manual entry of login doesn't work. Try to get a password reset link? Good luck. Wont happen. Customer service line has no options, just says to go online and says goodbye. After you file a claim on their site, it's just long auto-messages with a lot of words, but no actual help after days of waiting for response. Playing tag for days, weeks, etc. Same with *******@askrobinhood Twitter account. It cancels your orders, or let's them pend until they just disappear. ALSO completely removed access to stocks that are growing right now. Took away our ability to buy and is only allowing us to sell the stock we have. Whoever is running this belongs in prison. Costing people tons of money. I've heard these complaints from so many people and experienced them myself.

The worst platform and company I have ever seen with this important thing which is investing and money they should at least have a customer service phone number to call but this robinhood never even answer your email or message, and you can't get a prove quicker they saying your application take up to 5 days to be approved now it's 6 days and no answer, also they want you to transfer funds through access your online banking from their platform? What a joke!
Stay a way there are tons of platforms for investment all over.

Several months ago I was looking for an alternative type of bank where I could have my direct deposits made and possibly make a little extra on the side I came across Robinhood.com at first it all was well but then after one small security issue I have been locked out of my account they are holding over $1000. 00 of my money leaving me stranded out of state sleeping in my car and not even a phone number to call and get any assistance. Its been 3 months hundreds of e-mails later and still nothing from them willing to help return my money to me

I am certain there will be a major class action lawsuit in which this company will tank due to its delays in trading and significant glitches, not to mention obvious branches that are occurring that they cannot even keep up with. Trust me when I tell you to run like you're on fire and save your money.

Not interested to settle your sell but will take your money in seconds. Make so many millions but cannot settle a few dollars that's what the super rich is sucking hard working peoples money that's how they become rich.

Market Manipulation and Leading Investors

This company is deciding which stocks to allow investment in and all the sudden, will block purchase orders of stocks overnight without any announcement or reason why. I will never again use this terrible app! They used to send me an email to unlock account. Suddenly they say, SMS only. I don't know which phone number they have - I can't access it. Trying to work with customer support. Unhelpful, constantly sending the same canned message, always new names, no phone number, no interest to resolve this. I took most of my money a few weeks ago, therefore I wait for them to do this. Otherwise I would become very very upset. I never trusted them with a large amount, and I was right. I use schwab and vanguard and fidelity for larger accounts. Vanguard is so-so, but Fidelity was really helpful,

This app is not only an untrustworthy trading platform, but it specifically curates settings to take advantage of customers. If you incur a fee they will sell your shares without consent - there is no trading transparency - they preset dividend reinvesting so any profits you generate are forced back into the market so Robinhood can take advantage of inexperienced investors. Go use E-Trade or any other trading platform. Do not waste your time and money on such a tremendously fraudulent company.

I've been communicating with their customer service for 17 emails + now and they have literally done not one thing to assist me. The agents are very sassy and seem to not do anything unless you word your request in the exact specific format that they want. Still waiting for my issue to be resolved with no end in sight.

Stay away from Robinhood.

Where are federal agencies? They suppose to protect people from this madness! How they allow this to happen. Totally unregulated.
Basically, you will have to be extremely persistent to get your funds back. Otherwise they will never return them back. That's how they make most of there money. And I am not talking about trading here, I am talking about just your money being on your brokerage account.
Customer service? Forget about it.
Thieves and fraud. Can't believe we have it in a modern, regulated, lawful America.

I have scary and extremely bitter experience. WITHOUT MY CONSENT, Robinhood initiated a transfer of fund from my bank account to Robinhood account. This happened 2 times. Second time when I reported, instead of finding the glitch in their system, they locked out my account and started to verify my identity and asked me to provide legal documents and my photographs. I provided requested information 3 times. It's almost 2 weeks by now and my account is still locked. I'm not getting any appropriate response from support team. They can't figure out the problem in their system. Very concerning...
