WORST NIGHTMARE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AMY DELACRUZ THE SO CALLED OWNER IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL
May 16, 2022

IF I COULD GIVE THIS COMPANY A -10 STARS I WOULD!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! ESPECIALLY MILITARY PERSONNEL!

This is the WORSE rental company I have dealt with in my over 20 years of service believe what you see in the reviews! Getting into the property was quick and easy and the first 5 months was great. The issues began when I had a service call and was overcharged when I should not have been charged at all. I tried for days to speak with a human just like stated in the other reviews with no luck I called back to back and as a tenant my phone number was blocked, talk about customer service right. After finally speaking to AMY Delacruz I was told I was blocked because it was harassment but please help me understand how calling back to back after days of reaching no one was harassment makes no sense right. Amy Delcruz acts as if she is the God of the company and has no understanding how to deal with customers especially Military customers she's a liar and will even lie to your face. She tries to paint me as a angry black man because I didn't agree with her lies. They don't valve you as a customer at all. Samantha Mckinney is her sidekick she's rude and they all play tough over the phone. Samantha even addressed a email to my minor children about rent being paid so unprofessional. They even contacted my superiors and was upset and rude to them because they refused to get involved as they know my character and knew that it had to be an issue. I am currently in the process of applying to have them listed on the off-limits establishment list so that they will no longer be able to rent or assist Soldiers. Stay away guys believe these reviews this company has horrible customer service one more thing this company uses the name of the national company but Amy will pridefully tell you they are independent and she is the boss again the lady is horrible I couldn't be more happy to be done dealing with them I will not happily retire until I have them listed on the off limits establishment list a promise not a threat. STAY AWAY if you don't you will regret it the only way to communicate with this company is via email or text if they respond unfortunately some situations require a phone conversation especially when you are getting a bill for $400.00 with no explanation yeah they tried to overcharge and steal my money if I would not have caught it no one would have said a thing I don't care what they put in the response I'm warning you stay away I am saving you the headache!

Abhorred communication and customer service, resulting in unacceptable execution of their duties.
January 20, 2022

I actually picked this company over another due to their positive BBB rating and I painfully regret that decision. After I moved out of the property, the company was supposed to have a vendor come to clean before the tenant moved in. I never got confirmation if they were still coming or if the job was done, despite me reaching out to Renters Warehouse. The manager neglected to inspect the property and ensure it was move-in ready, as my tenant informed me that there was still dirty carpet where a vendor came in and completed a repair, and other discrepancies that could have been addressed prior to their arrival. Additionally, management neglected to meet the new tenant at the house and walk them around, showing them the property. This is a simple property management function that would have saved both the company and me embarrassment, but no, they couldn't even muster up that much professionalism and customer service. In addition to these failings so early on in our relationship, they charged me for "tenant procurement" when they did NO SUCH THING. I found the tenant myself and directed them to the company to fill out the application. When I questioned the company about this charge, I was informed, "that is just apart of the charges due when a tenant moves into the property." $400 for NOTHING! That is a very dishonest practice when they did not do what they are charging for but it was in the contract I signed so I took the loss.
A couple months later, a big storm came through the area and some branches fell on the neighbors' truck's hood. The neighbor spoke to my tenant asking for my contact info, but thankfully they provided Renters Warehouse's phone number instead. I was surprised when the maintenance coordinator contacted me and told me the tenant reported damage. I corrected them, that it was the neighbor stating their property was damaged from debris from my property. Therefore they should send a representative out to inspect and verify there was damage and that is was, in fact, my responsibility. A MONTH LATER I got a call back saying they got a quote for repairs, the maintenance coordinator saying the vendor was busy and couldn't get out there sooner. Speaking with the maintenance coordinator, I demanded to know why no one from Renters Warehouse went to visually inspect the supposed damage. He simply said they don't do that, they have vendors inspect damage and give them a quote for repairs. That is a poor excuse; the vendor is there to repair, they're not the property manager, that's Renters Warehouse's responsibility. A representative from the company should go to the property and confirm there is damage and if any repairs are even called for, instead of taking a random person's word.
I paid this company a lot of money to trust my property in their hands only for them to do absolutely nothing. I ended up submitting a letter to cancel our relationship before the end of the first year because it is easier, more productive, and financially viable to handle everything myself, even from across the country, than to let these careless scammers take my money. Not just myself either, they charged my tenants $650 for 2 cats! Upon closure of my agreement with Renters Warehouse, I asked for this money back to return to my tenant, only to be told "it is not a deposit, but a fee. In the event there are damages that can not be repaired with the security deposit then you can ask for the pet fee to supplement." Over half a grand literally goes into their pocket for NOTHING; another example of their dishonest and repugnant business practices.
In short, they have abhorred communication and customer service, resulting in unacceptable execution of their duties. Do not waste your money with this company, they don't do anything they are paid for.

Tip for consumers:

Don't waste your money with this company, they have no pride in their work, poor customer service, poor communication.

Worst Property Management Company
November 24, 2020

If giving 0 stars was an option, the Brentwood location for this company would receive 0 stars. First of all the amount of unprofessionalism at this office was outstanding. There was one employee in particular, Stela Anderson. Her communication was absolutely terrible. Just to give a little background on my situation. I moved into a home in June 2019 and I renewed my lease this June because I figured moving in the middle of this pandemic wouldn't be ideal. The house itself was okay, a little overpriced and outdated but that's on the landlord. She was very cheap and didn't want to put money into making it nice. Thats not on RW. Well my husband was transferred out of state for work and he ended up leaving in September and I tried to get out of my lease for THREE MONTHS. Renters Warehouse tried charging me some BS "tenant exchange fee" of $1600 for their agents to do their job and find a new tenant. I told them I couldn't afford to give them a BS fee on top of the $1620 I was already paying for rent so I worked with them and said I would find a tenant. They said they would reduce the fee if I found someone. Well I listed the home the next day and started showing it around my busy work schedule. I probably have over 200 messages for the home and sent maybe 40 people to Stela to get an application to, mind you I screened these people to make sure they qualify before sending them to her. So I was literally doing her job for her. I received numerous complaints about her communication and lost multiple people that were seriously interested. This was my only was out of the lease to get my kids reunited with their father and due to this companies due diligence I was left with no other choice but to just leave and risk everything. Stela showed no compassion or empathy for my situation and made it impossible to leave. But surprisingly they were able to find someone once I left. My warning to you is do your homework before signing a lease with this company. I will also note that the homeowner was not reasonable either. According to RW she was willing to let me out of my lease in October before I left if I paid an additional 3 months of rent. Mind you I was working with them for 3 months already to get out of the lease. I also quit my job because I found someone who was very interested and signing a lease to move in as soon as I was moved out. Something fell through and I never got a reason from her and I'm led to believe the rental company said something to her and told her not to respond to me. Very shady and greedy people in this world. I tried my best to do it right and leave on good terms. If you decide to rent with them, screenshot everything and keep a paper trail. It will help you in the end if things end up in court. I wish I would have read the reviews and looked into this company before signing anything with them. Learn from my mistakes and don't waste your time or money with companies like this.

Nightmare rental Elkton FL
October 13, 2020

We rented a home in Elkton FL thru renters warehouse. When we moved in the wood floor was buckled - the AC did not work well- some blinds were broken - several ceiling fans did not work- the house was infested with roaches in the walls and there were spider webs in ceilings. They said the floor would go down (it did some)- AC was serviced and they reimbursed us for several fans we bought. Rwh provided an exterminator but he was ineffective due to the severity of infestation. He kept trying. The blinds were never repaired. AC went out many times for days with only patches made. While making a repair to the guest bath toilet their workman broke a water line and water ran full force until they turned off the water at the road. The house was flooded inside. They mopped up with our towels ran a small shop vac and turned on a fan - no carpet cleaning or dehumidifier. Carpet soured and Black mold developed as confirmed by their mold remediation specialist. They did not have the mold remediated by professionals - too expensive. The AC went out and the AC company replaced the unit. Upon repair the switch that cuts off the AC if the drain is clogged was not connected so we had another flood. This caused damages to our belongings. Rwh refused to reimburse for loss they caused. The black mold flared up again and this contributed to putting me in the hospital. We decided we had to break the lease and move out as soon as we could find another place. An agreement was reached with the owner thru rwh that we would forfeit our deposit in lieu of any cancellation fees. They declined to pay for any of our damages and that was to be the total with us owing nothing else except to pay rent as long as we were there. We have now moved out and here comes rwh with a tremendously inflated bill for damages that included the blinds - clean up roach bait and poison replacement of carpet (they alleged from cat urine but we do not have a cat - it was from the rwh floods) charge to take down light fixture where we had replaced a bad fan (no charge from us). In short rwh wanted to rebuild the rental from damages of rwh making or responsibility and make huge overcharges doing it. Now they say this is the owners decision and nothing can be done. Rwh is an incompetent crocked company. Stay away from this management company.
