I mainly ride off-road on dirt or lime rock roads and it does great. I've taken it on local paved trails and it's equally as good. I replaced the seat for a more comfortable ride. Overall I like the bike, but I don't think it's for everyone. I will continue to update if I run into any problems with this bike.
Horrible, just horrible customer service. Battery died. I needed a replacement. Tried to find one online but was not able to. Contacted customer service, was told there is no option, no substitute, no other solution and to "contact" Amazon and maybe they can help me out. Dont expect help when parts break down in a year or two.

Both my wife and myself are retired. For the past 20 years we rode motorcycles. She had a Harley and I an Indian. With age creeping up we decided to sell the motorcycles and buy two Ebikes. This was a big change and we had doubts we might regret it. Let me tell you, we have just as much fun on these Ebikes as we did with the big bikes. They are built like tanks, get a lot of attention, much safer, and they are fast. We can easily ride 30 miles in an afternoon. Another plus is we plan on attaching them on our motorhome instead of hauling a vehicle behind it.

Ordered bike Sunday Night and received Tuesday! Wow this thing is fun, my parents have the Lectric XP and this thing is almost identical without the long shipping wait. Plus I think it looks sharper and it has Suspension this is a must for a comfortable ride. Took it out for its first ride in about 5 mins after unpacking everything it was read to go! Can wait to travel all over with this new portable bike!
Im a 100% disabled Veteran and have bad knees that prevented me from riding bikes. This bike has made it possible to do that again! The pedal assist modes are fantastic, I can pedal and exercise, but when my knees start hurting I can go pure electric mode and rest them. It climbs hills with ease and the ride is very smooth. I've put 12 miles on the bike so far and Im loving it more with every ride. I highly recommend this bike to everyone!

Really liking the Rattan customer service folks already - and I haven't even received my Ebike order yet! I realized after ordering on their site that I forgot to enter the discount code that would have saved me $200 (total for the 2 'Challenger' bikes that I ordered). I sent them an email about this, and they very quickly responded, thanking me for choosing Rattan and refunding to me the discount! Very impressive!
Have had this bike for two weeks. The performance is great. Have used them for all tasks including some long recreational rides. Getting superior performance from batteries and no mechanical issues. This has been a great investment for us and will keep us on bikes for years to come. Very happy with the quality of the bike and support from Rattan folks. Five plus stars. Highly recommended. Excellent machine at a great price.
The bike was shipped the day after order, it arrived in excellent condition, set up and assembly was easy and fast. This E Bike is exactly what I expected, bought it about a month ago. Took about 2 hours to assemble and make adjustments. Bike works great. Using LG as a manufacturer is a great comfort. Shimano 7 Speed Gear Shift System, and 350W motor this power is what I need. Would recommend to anyone!
I bought this bike because it has a backseat And was excited to try it out. After setting it up, I noticed the throttle was not working. I contacted Support and was told the throttle does not work unless pedal assist is turned on. This would be fine if pedal assist level one was mellow, but it's not in the least bit. Unless you plan on always having pedal assist on and are OK with getting your neck jerked back when you takeoff. I would think twice about this bike.
No where in the description does it state that the throttle doesn't work unless you have a pedal assist enabled.

Bought a Compass 3 was after I got the bike started having problems. Battery chip died bike wouldn't come on. Wires from motor to battery tore apart. Derailleur fell apart snapped chain no customer service. You get a bad bike good bye to your money. No one will contact you

I did extensive research before purchasing a fat tire ebike and bought an 750 LF from Rattan Ebikes for $1199 (with coupon code). So happy with this bike. This bike is top quality, strongly built and gets attention wherever I go.
Where we live alot of people have the Rad PowerBikes (specifically Radrunners) so I decided to compare the two before purchase and see what was so great about Rad over Rattan. Here's what I found:

In addition the Rattan came with strong integrated rear rack and back jumpseat that was $100 add-on with the Rad AND cruise control, which I use ALOT.
From research, Rattan customer service is not stellar but neither is RadPower Bikes. I think with the cheaper electric bikes primarily want to sell you the bike and will only cover manufacturer's defects and certain warranted items. So it's best to buy a quality bike at the gate for the money you have. If you want excellent customer service, be prepared to pay 3K to 4K for a high end bike from a local shop. Also, if Rad bikes (BBB rating F) need so much maintenance that they require a mobile service, that's a red flag to me. These bikes should be low maintenance or maintenance free for a long time after purchase.
Ultimately, the Rattan was the clear winner at this price point and I went for it. Thank you Rattan for an amazing bike! I just hit 650 miles with zero issues and still truckin'. I took a chance on you and I am so pleased I did.

Worst ever never got my bike from ratten and customer service would not help me but ask to make a claim. The claim can't do nothing. They are a scam.
Our Fatbear just arrived today. This thing is so well designed and built that I was completely stoked to get it on the road.
This thing hauls to 25+ with no problem. So smooth and sassy we just purchased another one two hours later.
Heads are turning in this neighborhood.

There is no support. No one answers the phone, message box full, no answer on chat. Bike showed up damaged. The return policy is 150 charge against the purchaser for a broken bike. They also have unreasonable return policies that are created to no give you full credit. Horrible company.

Look for a company that offers real support, answers the phone, if you have bad luck and receive a faulty bike you will be glad. This company is chinese and they have unreasonable and slanted support policies that will not offer a full refund.

So far i have not been disappointed. I was wanting an ebike as I'm a chronic pain patient with a bad back and pedaling does not work well for me on it's own. With the throttle mode enabled this thing can get up and go easily and quickly. I'm 6'4" and almost 260 pounds and it will hit about 15/16mph on the motor alone for me.
I would recommend this bike for the price. Over all the bike feels steady and sturdy, and of good quality.
Overall I'm pretty happy with the bike and I will eventually update this review after it's received a lot of love, I encourage anyone who is thinking about getting into the ebike world to seriously consider this.
If you are purchasing a E-bike from Rattan, beware folks… If you don't keep your "order number" on file somewhere and at the same time within the 12 month warranty you need service, well forget it you are out of a $1400 bike… No "order number" no service and no 12 month warranty… So again make sure you keep your "order number" because you can have every other piece of info on the bike but Rattan knows most people don't keep their "order number" after receiving the bike, so I had to pay $100 out of pocket for a new charger and the bike is only 3 months old… "Buyer beware"
Hubby ordered a bike from RATTAN. Went through PAY PAL they took our money and now we can get NO INFORMATION WHATSOEVER of said bike.
