Ralphs Fresh Fare

The Ralphs, Westwood store is a rip off that will not stand behind its products. I bought an APPLE gift card, scratched off the tape covering the code. The numbers were blurred and illegible. I returned to the store, all within 5 minutes for a new card and the manager refused to exchange for a new card or to give a refund.

I protested and he called security and had me escorted out. This was one of the most embarrassing moments of my life, especially after having been told that they have nothing to do with gift card sales and that my recourse was to contact APPLE, the issuer.
This is a process that often takes 2 weeks. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR AND POLICY. I've been a customer at this store for years. NO MORE. I'M DONE WITH THIS PLACE. NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT, NOR DO THEY STAND BEHIND PRODUCTS THEY SELL. Because the usual customer is a college student, they think they can get away with this sort fraud. I'm a 77 year old veteran, and they threw me out. No respect, and RIPOFF.

The website about Ralph's is good, but when you walk into a store, the workers are as rude as grumpy people. One teen girl who works in La Quinta, California is being prejudice towards customers for no reason. The site hides the customer service and safety labels.

Products used:

Many people brought a few since their rewards card had a problem.

I ordered just a few items including fresh pineapple, which was what I most wanted, and the delivery was to take place soon after. Not even an hour later I received the order without the pineapples. How they can advertise them as being in stock and then not have something that common so soon after ordering I don't know.

This is why I don't have any real option other than amazon fresh. As many problems as I have had with them, if something says it is in stock at the time of ordering, especially for same day delivery, it is rare when it isn't, at least in my experience. Unfortunately I'll have to stay with amazon fresh because neither vons.com nor ralphs.com can be trusted to have items that say they're in stock even an hour or 2 after ordering.

On Friday night, 3/24/2023, at Ralphs Market in Westwood, ******* Weyburn Ave., Los Angeles, CA *******, an older male, dark-skinned security guard with a thick foreign accent heavily monitored me near self-checkout when I was simply looking for my parking ticket. I SCREAMED at him to leave me the hell alone, and threw my shopping bag full of items on the floor. WHAT A HIDEOUSLY DISGUSTING PLACE THIS RALPHS MARKET HAS BECOME! WHAT'S NEXT? STRIP-SEARCHING CUSTOMERS?! FORCED DNA TESTS?

Though once friendly and fun, this Ralphs Market is now cold, rude, and stationed with armed guards with visible guns like a prison. The atmosphere is dark and tense as customers are clearly viewed and treated as likely thieves. TERRIBLE! THIS RALPHS WILL HOPEFULLY LOSE BUSINESS!

Ralphs in Westwood has also raised its prices, some of which exceed Whole Foods Market. I can buy a roll of paper towels for $1.59 at Whole Foods in Brentwood and Beverly Hills, but a roll of paper towels at Ralphs in Westwood is now $2.79! Outrageous! I am buying my paper towels at Whole Foods Market!

She seems to be gone now, or maybe still there, but I previously alerted people about a HORRIBLY FRIGHTENING, TERRIBLY RUDE employee I encountered at Ralphs Market in Westwood. I reported that she is an older, tall, Caucasian female employee who ties her gray hair back in a ponytail. She worked late Friday night, June 24 2022, standing guard at self-checkout near the door leading to the parking lot. THIS MEAN-SPIRITED EMPLOYEE WAS VICIOUSLY RUDE -- LIKE A PRISON GUARD ON RIKERS ISLAND OR AT THE AUSCHWITZ CONCENTRATION CAMP! SHE MUST BE NICE TO CUSTOMERS, NOT WORK IN THE FRONT, OR BE FIRED!
