QuiBids has a rating of 3.3 stars from 3,064 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Reviewers satisfied with QuiBids most frequently mention customer service, credit card and gift cards. QuiBids ranks 2nd among Penny Auction sites.
I'd just like to make a point to all of you who are so shocked about the $60. I was curious about the "dishonesty" and the "misleading" so I went forward with making my account, for science. When I went to sign up, the first step was to enter my name, email, create a username, etc. On the VERY NEXT PAGE, where it asks for your credit card number, it literally says in big letters "Buy your first bid pack and start winning auctions today!" (as it's a pay-to participate site and you can't bid on anything unless you buy bids). On the left of the page it shows you that by entering your credit card info you're buying 100 bids for 60 cents each a. K. a. $60. Don't blame QuiBids for your inability to read.
These people are scam artists. Once you sign up they automatically take money out of your account. Asked for a refund and they told me it would take 5 business days to get my refund.
I wish I read the reviews on this site about Quibids.com before I signed up. I feel so angry that I was taken in by them. Please don't give these people your credit card number. They take your money right away and when you realize you have been taken they treat you like a fool afterwords. I asked them for my money back within minutes. I have been given the run around by slick form letters. If this is a legitimate business something is terribly wrong with the laws that let them do this to us. This is a scam!
We try to provide as much information upfront to inform potential customers that QuiBids is a pay-to-participate site. Also, it is free to have an account with QuiBids; however, if you do want to participate in the auctions, we do require users to pre-pay for the bids used in the auctions. Please contact our support team via email at support@quibids.com and we can work with you to issue a refund of your unused bids.
Don't fall for this site. Signed up to bid and next thing I know, I had "bid" on things I hadn't even looked at and my starting money was gone. Spoke to representative and somehow they had documented proof of me bidding on those items. Also, since kids now a days are getting gift cards, please educate them on using their cards online before they get their money stolen like what happened to me.
I apologize for the confusion, Jesus. QuiBids is a pay to participate website, as mentioned at many places on our site including the registration process and QuiBids 101 help section. We try to provide as much information upfront to inform potential customers as possible. Any auctions that were participated on the site can be accessed under the Bidding History tab.

I am a bit of a gambler, read all of the detailed print, spent a good amount of time studying auctions and actually did pretty well up front. Unfortunately, as is stated in the small print, Quibids reserves the right to limit the auctions you can participate in, therefore, now I only have voucher bid auctions and small crap that I don't want on my screen for a good part of the day. I read a review that said "don't get too good at it". It is true.
Additionally, several of the items I have finally received appear to have come from a second hand store. Maybe all items that people had returned. I won and bought several Thomas Kinkade 8" x 10" PRINTS and 11" x 14" prints. Once received they were actually 4" x 6" prints in matte and 5" x 7" prints with matte. This is false advertising! Who would spend $49-$59 for 4" x 6" prints with matte?
I also received a broken blender. I emailed Quibids about it and received a response email stating they were looking into the issue and don't email them twice or it will just take longer. That was approximately 3 1/2 weeks ago. Really?
It is a business that is doing what it advertises and can be fun and quite addictive, but price check before you start bidding (many items severely overpriced in retail value) and don't play too often or you won't be able to find anything on your screen worth buying.
DO NOT EVEN SIGN UP FOR AN ACCOUNT TO VIEW THIS SITE, they charged me $60 immediately upon signing up for an account to view how bidding worked. THIS IS A SCAM! THIS DOESN'T EVEN DESERVE A STAR. THEY TOOK 12 HOURS TO CORRESPOND BACK ABOUT THE FRAUDULENT CHARGES TO MY CARD.
Sorry to hear this has been your impression of QuiBids, Shauna.

A few days before my year was to expire I requested a refund of the money I had placed on Quibids. Crap. Took them over a week to respond with the form email. By that time a year had gone past. They tell me my money has been turned into vouchers and I waited too long to request a refund. I told them I did not and sent the email again as a forward so they could see the date I sent it. BUT NO! They didn't get it in time, maybe something is wrong with my email (they said).
Anyone want to buy 71 vouchers cheap?
Anyone thinking about using quibis, DON'T! Save yourself the headache and the money.
Complete $#*! site. They have so many fake people posting how they won all this crap in such an advertised fashion. You don't see ebay doing this. You also don't see ebay make hundreds, even thousands over one item ripping people off because of "credits." Ebay will always be the top company. Eat $#*! quibids
I am sorry you feel that way, Jake. The users you see or the postings you see on advertisements are in-fact legitimate purchases/wins off the website. QuiBids is an entertainment retail auction site in which customers purchase bids and compete to get great deals on the products they want. Feel free to email us at support@quibids.com or call 1-855-QUIBIDS (784-2437) or 405-253-2038 anytime Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM CST and we will be happy to further assist you!
I have been on QuiBids for a little over a year. Sometimes I do real well and sometimes not. Of late I apparently have done too well. They have severely limited the auctions that I can participate in, made bid busters available to me about every 6-7 hours and when I can bid on them, they are only singles and never a double. I currently can only bid on cheap stuff that is worth maybe 1/4 of the listed price, gift cards that I suddenly can not win and of course all of the voucher bids that I want. Voucher bids can be the biggest waste of money on the site. I did send a complaint to them about being so severely limited and they admitted that they had done this and that if was for the benefit of other bidders, so they would have the opportunity to win major items. In other words, if you get too good or too lucky, they will basically kick you out.
Boy Erik G. You sure have a difficult job! Sounds like many people simply do not understand the auction process. Penny auctions are a different thing also. Good to realize by what means QuiBids makes it's profits though! Wish you well and I thought the website information was fairly clear.
At first, I was so hooked on quibids. Just seeing how little people were paying for their items i decided to give it a try. The bids are 60 cents each, which is not much but it adds up, so if you use a lot of them, you end up losing more than you win. I've won a few great items, some not so great. The shipping is pretty fast. What I don't like is with the buy it now option, only the "real bids" count towards the total price. Sometimes I'll use real bids for a bid pack auction and i end up losing them all and use the buy now option for the voucher bids, but then those bids are useless if i use them on something else and don't win because they won't even count towards the buy it now price.
Quibids is good to kill time, not to get great deals. Its a gamble and most of the time its just not worth it. Ive lost more than I've won.
I put 3 stars because watching my bids got exhausting and gave me migraines. They should use the LOCKED function as soon as a certain number of people start bidding. It gets stupid. However, I didn't stop at only 1 star because I READ ALL THE TRAINING ON THAT SITE THAT THEY HAD TO OFFER ALONG WITH ALL THE Q&A BECAUSE COMMON SENSE TELLS ME THAT I SHOULD DO THAT WHEN I DECIDE TO THROW MY MONEY SOMEWHERE! HELLOOOO! Just saying... If you read like you were supposed to, if you had taken the training as suggested by the site, and took the time to watch a bunch of bids rather than be part of them... some of you wouldn't have the issues you have now. With any PURCHASED bid that I had + VOUCHER bids I had... I didn't pay any more than about $5/item. I also knew some of the items were labeled with a way over priced "value" to begin with. I saw people POUR their money into sunglasses that normally cost $20 (according to the site), but I bought the very same pair in real life for $7!
I dont understand how people think this site is a rip off or scam. Very simple, I need new sheets for my bed. They are $30. Im going to bed bath and beyond to buy them, but instead why not go onto Quibids. Start bidding on the sheets that you need and keep bidding until either you win it early at a huge discount or pay maybe half the price. In any case once you spend $30 in bids you own it. And then a couple days it'll be at your door with no shipping charges. So if you're losing a Quibids its because you start bidding on things you don't need or werent going to buy anyway. If you think you're going to go on air and when a high definition TV and forbids you're crazy. It can happen but if it doesn't then how long do you stay. $20 worth of bids 30 dollars worth of bids and people are still bidding then you quit and your out $20 or40 dollars. If you're going to bid on something make sure you have the funds to stay till the end. Then you'll never lose. Or bid on gift cards. That way sometimes you win the gift cards early and other times you'll pay them off and I'll send them to you. Either way your money is still there just on a gift card now that you could spend at Walmart or wherever you want. Don't bid wildly. If you do end up joining please put in my email address that I recommended you. Use my advice and you'll win like me. *******@yahoo.com
That's right, Michael! The Buy Now feature offers you the chance to purchase any product at any time during the auction and for up to 2 hours after the auction ends. By utilizing the Buy Now feature, an investment of real bids never has to go to waste. Any ‘real’ bids you place in an auction will be discounted off of the Value Price. Please note: Voucher Bids have no monetary value, therefore do not apply towards the value price when utilizing the Buy Now feature.
Below is an example of how your discount Buy Now price is calculated:
Value Price: $100.00
Discount: Real Bids Placed x Bid Price: 100 x $0.60 = $60.00
Buy Now Price: $100 - $60 = $40.00 + Shipping/Taxes (if applicable)
You can find more information regarding the Buy Now here: http://blog.quibids.com/how-to-use-buy-now-to-your-advantage/

Why are people so shocked that they deduct 60 bucks out inmediately? Are you guys stupid? I signed up and got 20 free bids. I used them and won a pricy set of name brand kitchenware. I was happy.
Erik G.,
You really love to mention that Ripoffbids, excuse me, QuiBids has been accredited by the BBB. Got some news for Erik, my cat's litter box could be accredited by the BBB, so big whoop...

Without disclosing it they immediately charge your account $60.00 as soon as you enter your card information. QuiBids will then not respond to any query about your card or give you access to the card information that might allow you to remove the card from their site. Quite a high level scam, STAY AWAY FROM QUIBIDS.

Lol. I agree about Erick. He certainly seems to have an answer for everyone. Too bad he is also getting a paycheck and part of the whole scheme Hooray for Capitalism folks!
Please avoid this. The invitation to sign up never ever is upfront in telling you that the your card is being charged immediately. It tells you to enter the info as most sites do to get a sign in and check it out. After that I emailed 2 days ago. Of course no direct or indirect answer. Ok I decide to try it, guess what, I bid on a dual USB charger because I see no one else bidding, and (gullible me) A huge CONGRATUALTIONS that I have won it for. 01c and then it takes me to a screen telling me I won a SCREEN PROTECTOR SET for a phone I DO NOT OWN. I have emailed again... HINT in the future DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANYONE WITHOUT PHONE SUPPORT> NOTE also no chat support I have attempted chat support at different times for 3 days and SURPRISE... always offline or BUSY... THings that make millionaires out of wishful thinkers. :)
Can not understand how stupid some people can be. When you sign up for these sites, you should read the t&c, they are clear and there is full info on how they work. If you can not be bothered to read it, do not be surprised when money has been taken from your bank... with your consent (had you read the t&c`s). All your moans could have been avoided it you had just taken time to read what you singed up for, clicked on what you did and did not want eg: automatic top up.
I have read the reviews about most of these sites, they are not for me as I am not prepared to take a gamble by paying for bidding, but as for letting me know what I would have been in for, all the sites have made it VERY clear how they work.
Answer: Yes like Gary O said, $60 buys your first 100 bids. Seems like a lot but after that you can buy 25 bids for $15. Best investment I ever made!
Answer: When you sign up, to be able to bid, you must purchase bids and the first bid pack is 100 bids for $60. People simply do not read. I would ask them why they think they give their credit card number just to sign up. I've read the information and it's pretty clear. I've been using QuiBIds for going on 3 years and I love it. When you sign up there will be at the top that is labeled "QuiBids 101". If you do sign up, be sure to read QuiBids 101 before you begin bidding. It's very helpful.
Answer: Hi Madeline, I'm sorry to hear that you weren't aware you were purchasing the starter bid package of 100 bids for $60.00 when entering your credit card info on the purchase page. The good news is they will offer a full refund for any of your unused bids. Just send them an email at support@quibids.com and they will be happy to assist you. They are very supportive and want to make sure you are satisfied.
