ProProfs online assessment software is the easiest software to create online assessments as it offers an assessment library of more than 100 ready-to-use online assessments. You can just pick one, make changes you require, and use it right away.
Beware if your quiz is longer than 20 questions, probably 15% of my kids have website failure on longer assignments. Can't review answers when you switch to one question per page, so not useful for WS/homework. Many kids, on overnight assignments, have ProProf site lockup so I can see questions but they can't submit. Haven't had one of these problems with Quia (which is about half the cost when shared with teachers in your department).
Good design/idea with ProProf, but they haven't added features or improve reliability in three years.
I teach High School and started using the website for testing. The problem I have is that when it comes time for the students to take the online tests, the website constantly hangs up and students cannot finish the test! This happens a lot! Very frustrating!
I only needed the software/service for a specific purpose and was willing to buy a full subscription to get the bells and whistles I needed. I created a series of 30-question quizzes as well as a consolidated quiz from those. It worked very well and was very easy to use. Pictures, question options, randomizing options, reporting--all of it worked without any trouble. Twice I reached out to them by their Contact Us option and both times (a year apart) I received a timely phone call. (You might want to add their number to your phone so you know it's not spam.) Was very pleased with the service and the results of the quizzes.
I have used the quiz, survey, and course-making tools on ProProfs and have found them easy to use and effective. I even used the survey maker to create a signed form for some contractors I hired, and it worked really well. Instead of having tons of paperwork to handle, I get them to sign on the survey and then can keep everything organized on my online ProProfs account.
It is a huge time saver. Before ProProfs, I would have to grade multiple quizzes a day for ~200 students. With ProProfs, students move at their own pace and I have more time for actual reteaching and small group instruction. My students get instant results of their performance and they can retest until they have demonstrated mastery. I have observed an increase of self confidence, better and long retention of knowledge. Last year, my science students grew over three points (roughly three grade levels) on the ACT. It's great!
I have been using ProProfs in my classroom for years. The functions are easy to use and allow me to create challenging tests in different formats. I also like the instant analysis of answers it provides. This is a Great Product!

With ProProfs, running employee assessments was super easy and effective. I could easily create training courses and add quizzes to them I used to create with ProProfs Quiz Maker. At the end of each training lesson, the employees would take the quiz that was automatically graded and I received the reports in real-time. The reports were downloadable so I could review them anytime, anywhere.
I subscribed to ProProfs to collect student responses for a time sensitive project. ProProfs lost 75% of my students' responses, failed to call with a solution after promising to do so, failed to respond to my emails, and then refused to refund my subscription, even though I got no use out of the program whatsoever. Service is terrible, the tool is undependable, and the site doesn't care. Cost me precious time and money.
Great concept of a website that allows people to create quizzes and flash cards and share them. If it catches on students studying similar subjects could combine their efforts to make flash cards and share them online.
I'm a middle school teacher using Chromebooks in the classroom. I have an assignment that requires my students to create an online quiz related to an EDPulzzle video. "proprofs" is a very user-friendly product! Thanks for helping us transition into a Blending Classroom environment!
A really good thing about the site is that the pages load really fast. For a site that has quite a lot of features, that's pretty awesome. Another thing I like is the feature of embedding quizzes to your website. Nice work. Keep it up.

It's a little bit long to create a quiz but it's worthy, infact it's easy to take the quiz because people can access the test when and where they want, and we can collect data in order to create the classes. More, we find that sharing on the social helps people to engage in our learning traning.
Now we are experimenting new functions, like polls and survey!
I have been requesting assistance from them since Oct 12th and every time I email them, they just ignore me and when I chat with them, they just keep saying we will give an update later on today but it has never happened since Oct 12th. Terrible experience, I do not recommend this service.

I used this program to create several tests to gather data for my science classes. I don't have the time to type all of the problems I have had. I'll summarize some of the bigger ones. I made a matching test for vocab with definitions - the test randomly switched the columns. The result: students with a column of vocab words, followed by drop-down menus with 20 definitions, all shoved together. It effectively made the test unusable. The other huge problem I had was the test randomly reordered my questions to be alphabetical. Not only did this make the test a joke, but it failed to reorder the correct answers - my highest kids all "scored" less than a 10%. I wasted a tremendous amount of time trying and fixing ProProf, and a day and a half of instructional time that I won't get back.
So in response to the other reviewer - Sweet Jesus, yes, it is a piece of sh*t.
I used the ProProfs Quiz Maker to create quizzes that would help me test their knowledge on the course videos I shared with them. API integration allowed me to create a code that I used to analyze my students' performances. The detailed reports feature helped me track my students' progress throughout the course.
