I interacted with Andy Wright #711, a Customer Service Representative, regarding a recurring monthly charge, and requested to have the account closed and monthly fee refunded. He provided excellent service -- promptly replying to my email and refunding the charge at issue.
This business, PropertyRecs.com, charged me a monthly fee of $20 for six months for some kind of membership or access I did not intentionally purchase. I made a single one-time purchase totaling $6 for a detailed property record and history. I never knowingly agreed to a recurring membership and it is my recollection no clear opt-in/opt-out button was displayed during my checkout. I maintain this option, is present, was purposely obscured by the business owner/website author in order to surreptitiously charge individuals intending to make a single purchase. The business denies they made any purposeful attempt to deceive. Upon challenging the business and explaining my position as never having agreed to a monthly charge on my credit card via the website chat function, I was refunded fully for the six months ($20 X 6) within minutes. It is my opinion it was done so quickly, they are clearly used to doing this for disgruntled (i. E. scammed) customers.

I ordered a property report for $1. I received a notification that my card was charged $30. After speaking to my lender, I reached out to customer service regarding this charge and was told it was for a bulk order. The rep immediately refunded my money. She was courteous and professional. Clarity is needed on the website as I did not see anything that would indicate I was ordering bulk anything. I only ordered a single property report.
