I bought a dress for a ball and it was promptly shipped also the dress arrived in a box and they carefully package my dress. I have no complaints whatsoever, I'm very satisfied with my order. I buy formal dresses all the time and this is buy far the best shipping/packing experience I have ever had. Henris formal dresses company, shipped my $400 dress in a bag, so I'm definitely buying from this company again.

I ordered a dress for my daughter for her upcoming prom. We took proper measurements according to the website and ordered a size 4 dress. However, the dress that was received is closer to a 2 than a 4. My daughter is very petite, so there is no exaggeration with my assessment. Though very pretty, the dress has an insane amount of glitter. To further exacerbate this situation, I was charged an additional $175 for duty charges after paying $200USD for the dress, plus $40USD for shipping. I am in Canada, so imagine my surprise when this order came and the delivery person tells me that I need to pay $175 to receive my package! I spoke to UPS who recommended speaking to the company and asking them to absorb the costs. However after several correspondence with the company, the final verdict was that this was my responsibility. Had I been aware of these duty charges, I could have decided if that's a costs I wanted to pay. Now. I am left with a dress that does not fit her properly, and we will have to find an alternative. Spend your money elsewhere! I know for me, I will never do business with this company again.

Meh, didn't really fit the way we wanted it to. Unfortunately we'll have to send back. Stretched in the wrong places. A bit disappointing since she is only a size 3.

I paid for two day shipping as my daughter would need the dress altered to a much smaller size. The customer service agent was snarky, non helpful and rude.
She offered NO solutions and I felt that she took pleasure in cutting the conversation to a halt.
All of the positives of this company and experience are countered when the dress doesnt arrive when expected and customer service is rude and non-helpful.
I hope that this was a one time experience that ended with me.

The dress fits my 511 daughter perfectly in both the body and the length. It is very flattering and very pretty. I could not, however, get the zipper open to take the dress off of the hanger for her to try it on. After struggling to open the zipper while the dress was on the hanger, I have yet to get it completely zipped while she has it on as I am afraid the zipper will break before she even wears it for the first time.

My dress is gorgeous and looks amazing. But they definitely could've done better. The lace on the dress is the worst material I've ever seen, it's so cheap and tacky. Same with the zipper. Like I get so much anxiety zipping it up and down because I'm scared it'll rip. Also the sizes need to be fixed. Someone who is extra small & has a 24" waist will most likely not be blessed with a 33" bust and 37" hips? Like it's pretty idealistic. The top of my dress is completely covered in lace detailing so I cannot properly get it tightened because it will ruin the design. Either they should have more realistic sizes or let you put in Your measurements.

Ordered a dress, did not fit, was able to send back but thought the 10% restock fee and $8 to print the label was kind of deceiving since they play up their return policy. I don't think there should be a restock fee if it is clear it wasn't worn and just did not fit. So I lost $30 on the transaction. I think we are DONE shopping for dresses online. My daughter used their chart, but the dress was way too big.

Compared to other prom dress sites we found the best prices here at this site. Was very excited we received the dress really fast. The only complaint I have is the dress jewels on top are plastic and they look cheap I was thinking it was going to be a little bit better quality

Brought for daughter's prom. Arrived in good time but now I have to sew poppers, hooks and eyes back on. They were there but have come off already when trying dress on. I know these are minor but when you have spent a considerable amount of money and then import tax in U. K. You would hope it was perfect.

I originally wrote a raving review about the price and how quickly I received the dress. It wasn't until last night when I actually had to wear the dress that I discovered that this was a poorly made dress. First, the zipper got stuck in the material and it was extremely hard to get it out. However, after getting the zipper up, when I pulled the dress up under each arm, the right side ripped. This was a destination wedding and it happened 5 minutes before the shuttle arrived at our hotel to pick us up. I tried to make due with the dress for the rest of the night--however, I was extremely disappointed.

I have a military ball to go to on the 26th of this month & was going to buy from here but after reading the reviews i will pass. Its to short of a time to have mistakes that i read just can't chance it but the dresses are really pretty on the site.

The dress is beautiful, and the quality is pretty great. I'm usually a size 14 and I entered in my measurements and it advised me to get a size 20. I decided that was a little ridiculous, and I got an 18. It was still huge, but there isn't enough time to send it back, so I'll just have to get it altered. Again, nothing wrong with the dress, just the sizing guide!

The sizing was super off, i went to other stores and i know im a size 6. When i got the dress, it was super small on the top. I have to send it back and get a bigger size.

In regards to size, you will need to compare your measurements to the size chart provided from the designer for each dress as the sizing can vary. You must consider your body type and the style of the dress. The size chart will highlight where each measurement falls on the chart but it is merely a guide to assist you in selecting the size that is best. First of all, I love the dress. I had to get it taken in, but the material is really nice and it looks reasonably expensive. I bought it in burgundy, and unfortunately there was no colour option of it in burgundy, but it was pretty similar to what I thought it would be. However, I'm from NZ and didn't realise the price wasn't in NZD, (as it doesn't say USD next to the price). Therefore, I ended up paying way more than I anticipated, and also an extra $200 in customs as it was international and had a price over $400. Moral of the story, triple check the price, and know exactly what you're paying before you click order.

Note to potential buyers: You are taking a HUGE risk when you buy a dress from this website. I bought the Strapless Short Multi-Color Animal Print Dress for $34. I didn't buy it for any specific event; I stumbled upon it online and fell in love with the design. After reading all the negative reviews, I was very hesitant to make a purchase. However at that price, I figured I might as well take the risk. I bought it on a Tuesday and it shipped out ground on Wednesday. I didn't receive an email informing me it was shipped, so I would advise you to check the order status page periodically. Furthermore, their system only updates tracking information in the evening so if you don't see it right away then fear not. The item shipped from their warehouse in NJ to my house a three hour drive away and arrived the next day. I was pleased at how fast it arrived and that the dress was beautiful and in great shape (looked exactly like the photo). I would recommend ordering larger than you think you need, as I'm very petite (size 0) and the size 3 fit like a glove. From what other reviewers have been saying, I would not recommend ordering an expensive dress from this site as if they mess up, the loss is much higher. If you have to make a return, buyer beware, they charge a restocking fee and you pay for shipping. And there are no guarantees you will receive a credit (their customer service doesn't sound very bright). So you might as well resell the dress or find another use for it. This might sound a little silly considering the name of the website, but I would highly suggest not ordering a dress you will need for a time sensitive event such as prom. From personal experience, it is much better to go to your local dress boutique where your exact measurements will be taken and you get to see the quality of the dress ahead of time. Plus they truly value your business and want to make you happy. I gave them three stars because although the dress is fantastic, I stressed over whether they would actually ship it in the time they promised (or even altogether) and I don't agree with their business practices, notably their treatment of returns (have never heard of charging your customers for returning a product they may not have worked for various factors out of customer control). After my previous review, I must give another review to this business for eventually allowing me to make a return after I had missed the deadline. They did this after I sent this review and one on their own site. My complaint was that the person I spoke with was very rude and unhelpful... telling me he made exceptions but this wouldn't be one of them... seriously? I was honest from the beginning saying it was totally my fault (missed it by 2 weeks) but was there any recourse? Store credit? Anything? And he was just rude. I am extremely appreciative however, that another customer service person who contacted me after my review finally allowed me to make the return (after agreeing to terms that I will not be allowed to return past the deadline in the future). I will say that 7 days is not a lot of time to work with and I will probably not risk that by ordering from them again. I will not trust myself to make that deadline, therefore, will order elsewhere. I think they have cute dresses (and I am sure that there are those few who are cheating them by wearing then returning who ruin it for the rest of us) but the company should really consider a longer time period in their return policy. They already have a 10% restocking fee and customer pays for shipping... so its a tough return from the beginning.

I was so happy when I got a dress from Promgirl. However, the dress did not fit me so I returned it. I was going to order a new one but the policy says I have to wait 5-10 business days for the store credit to process so I can order a different dress. This is really inconvenient and now Im just stuck. I just wanted to exchange the dress for one of the same price but I have to choose a refund or store credit that cannot be processed in a very timely manner. Im very disappointed and am afraid that I will not be able to order the new dress in time for when I need it.

The store credit can take 5-10 business days to be available from when it is received back to us. If you do not want to wait, you can go ahead and place a new order. When we receive your return you can be issued a refund for the price of the item instead. A restocking fee would not be charged if you have a new order for an item of equal or greater value. Please contact us with both order numbers if you choose this option instead of waiting for the store credit!

I ordered a prom dress from here and it came in just a few days. The size fit perfectly. I usually wear a size l-xl t-shirt and I looked at the size chart and I had to order a 3x size dress! Always go by the size chart for this site. When the first dress I ordered came, it was a completely different color than what was online so I returned it for a different color. The day after I ordered it, the dress dropped from $200 to $125 dollars. They refunded me the whole $200 and I got to order the new dress for a lot cheaper. The only downside was that it was now a "final sale" dress. I received the new dress and it was again a different color than it was online but no worries, it was still beautiful. The only major problem was that both of the dresses had zippers that would get stuck. It is very hard to zip up the dress even when its not on my body. Another problem I have is that you can't review the dresses on their actual site. I submitted twice and they never actually post the review so that you can see it.

We ordered my daughters dress 2 weeks before prom so decided to pay for 2 day shipping. We measured her using the prom girl website and went by their recommendation as to what size to order, even though my daughter NEVER wears that size in anything else. I was concerned but figured maybe the dress ran small. The dress arrived and was close to 2 sizes too big! The dress would have had to be completely reconstructed. So we had no choice but to order another, pay another 2 day shipping fee AND a $35 restocking fee for the other dress that was too big! Keep in mind that was the size that prom girl said to order. The smaller size came and still needed alterations but nothing like the recommended size would have needed. Really disappointed about paying a restocking fee for the dress and size that was recommended by the website itself.

Dress did not fit even after following and taking measurements. The dress zip until the chest area and then there was approx 2.5 to 3 inches where the dress became very fitted and wouldn't fit. Dress did arrived the day before the dance which was awesome but when it didn't fit sheer panic set it. The fact that I can only return it for "store credit" stinks, I don't think I will purchase from here again since the return policy is so limiting.

The dress i ordered was exactly how it appeared on the site. It came in next day. However, it did not fit. I tried to see if i was able to have it tailored so it would fit, as well as find a back up dress. Within this time, their 7 day return policy [which I was unaware of] had passed. I called because the online return was not working. The customer service representative was very nice and helpful. However, the companies policy on returns is not great, nor accommodating. She was able to let me return it and receive some of my money back... 10% less than I had paid, with additional $8 removed from what I paid to cover shipping. I appreciate the representative, its not her fault the companies policy is like that. I wish I had known before I purchased. Otherwise, good dresses... if it fits!

I like all the options - our second dress worked nicely - Seems unfair when you return a dress unworn, tags on and in 5 days of receiving you pay a restocking fee when they can turn around and resale it for same price a second time.

Tons of high school girls order from this website, and three girls ended up with the same dress because no one was aware that someone from the same school already purchased the dress. I was not satisfied with that, I then had to return my dress and now waiting 5-10 days to get my return & the dance is in 3 weeks.

I am 5'4 and 130lbs and bought a medium. I measure 34x26x36 and it was recommended by the website I get a large, luckily I didn't. I was very happy with this dress, but it was quite big around my waist and chest. It fits quite well around my hips, but there is some extra fabric there that is pretty noticeable. All of the complications I dealt with when I got the dress were very minor, and were easy to have altered by a seamstress. I am still very happy with my purchase, but definitely would've gone with a small.
