I love the many features and functions of Houzz Pro. Houzz has not connected me with local clients, it has also offered an abundance of tools which facilitate a more productive process to get to the end result design my client receives.
I was over sold on the lead generation function go the software. After taking over a month to get set up on the software it started generating poor leads. I tried to cancel, they locked me into a year long agreement. I tried to make the best of it and responded to any lead that might have even been close to good and still did not generate work. I had a sigh of relief when the year was up. I finally realized they were still charging my card and found out that they have an automatic renewal. For another year! So now they say I'm trapped in a software that I have absolutely no use for. BEWARE!
If you decide that you can't use their service or it is not the right fit for you... they make it impossible to cancel. Hidden contract and terms on signup, and customer service is terrible about helping you cancel. You will get put into a loop of "i'll submit a support ticket for you", "why do you need to cancel", anything to not help you cancel. I used to like browsing Houzz for products and services and purchased a few nice and pricey items from them. They certainly lost my business for life.
Peter Warren within the industry solutions department has been so great to work with. We are a Houzz Pro account holder and Peter has managed our account for a couple years now. He always keeps us updated on the latest features and sales options. He works with our budget and is quick to reply to any emails of questions or concerns, whether they're covered in his department or not.
We were contacted by a Houzz representative in January 2024 and promised a whole bunch of nothing. We have received a total of 24 leads, of which a handful were spam/scammers, not in our service area, not looking for a service we provide, and the rest of the "quality" leads never respond back to us. There is also no option to show the customers phone number after initial contact which is a red flag. If the leads were quality, then Houzz should have no issue giving us the customers direct contact info...I mean they are in the market for a contractor right? Houzz was also supposed to run our website on their platform, which was up for a few days, and has been inactive ever since. I have reached out out and received no call back, but they sure did reach out promptly when our payment didn't go through due to our bank account being hacked. I encourage all businesses and customers to PROCEED WITH CAUTION when dealing with Houzz. We refuse to pay for a service that we aren't receiving. Do not listen to what the representative sells you because they are very manipulative and good at it. Read the terms completely. We also were not provided with a trial period so please be sure to ask about that. Houzz is no better than most of the services out there, and we have tried many. Houzz is by far the worst. The app won't let you do almost anything and their houzz pro website is not responsive. Meaning you can't edit or review proposals on your phone, until you sit at the desk. In 2022….it's quite non-common as responsiveness is one of the top priorities of website
I've been a member of Houzz for many years and it remains one of my best lead generating sources. The site is very well maintained and the support staff are very attentive. My sales representative Kristine, is always available to help and does so quickly. She takes the time to communicate ways to improve my business. This is one of the biggest reasons I continue to work with Houzz.com.
Michelle is an absolutely terrific person that cares about her clients. She makes us feel like our account is the only one that matters. She is also extremely knowledgeable at her job. She is quick to act on our request and does not hesitate to recommend improvements. Michelle is the reason why our company decided to stay with Houzz after a rocky start and we are extremely happy for the guidance she provides.
I signed up for a free trial with Houzz on July 10th, expecting it to end on August 8th, as stated in the welcome email. However, Houzz charged me before the trial ended, despite their promise not to do so. I cancelled my trial on the 8th, which should have been within the free period, but they still charged me and are now refusing to refund my money.
I reached out to their support team and spoke with Anthony, who claimed the email implied the trial would end "before" the 8th, even though the email clearly stated the 8th as the deadline. Despite cancelling within this timeframe, they went ahead and charged me. Additionally, the business continued to charge me the following month, indicating an issue with their billing system.
Houzz initially acknowledged my cancellation on August 8th but now falsely claims I cancelled on the 12th. I only reached out on the 12th to confirm if they had processed my cancellation after receiving a suspicious email. Despite their system error, they refuse to issue a refund. Their refusal to confirm my cancellation in a timely manner and the lack of customer support was highly frustrating.
In one instance, I had a deeply upsetting phone call with Anthony, during which he yelled at me. His unprofessional and aggressive behavior left me shaken, and I am now unwilling to engage with Houzz without a mediator.
Despite multiple requests for a refund, Houzz continues to ignore the issue, providing inconsistent explanations, and in their latest communication, no reason at all for denying the refund. Moreover, they attempted to charge my account again after the cancellation, demonstrating that their billing system has problems.
My request remains simple: Houzz should acknowledge their billing mistakes and provide a refund. I am not interested in apologies but in a resolution to the financial issue caused by their faulty system.

Perfect for professional residential contractors. An all in one program to effectively run your business and generate good quality leads. My only gripe is that there aren't many small jobs that come through but still no complaints. I would highly recommend over the competitors.
Our HOUZZPRO account has been down for over 1 week. When you call their support number, the recording asks you to hang up and go to their web site to log a support ticket. We have done this twice now! They say it will take from 48-72 hours for it to be reviewed. We submitted our first ticket on June 5th, 2023. We manage multiple construction projects but cannot create a change order, an estimate, send an invoice, etc. Not to mention we are paying over $700.00 per month for leads...which we are also not getting! This is terrible customer support from a company we entrusted to help us manage our projects and lead generation. Buyer beware
As the old saying goes, "a picture is worth a thousand words." As a professional home designer for over 34 years, Houzz has become one of my go-to tools not only for showcasing my projects, advertising, and attracting new business but as one of my primary tools for helping my clients convey their ideas and concepts. Having my clients share their collection of inspirational photos allows me to better understand the design style and features they are after. And now with all of the new Pro features, such as tracking metrics and potential leads, aside from word-of-mouth referrals, Houzz has become my number one source of new business. And the service I receive from my Houzz rep Ashlee P is top-notch. Thank you, Houzz! I look forward to all of the new features and improvements ahead.
Houzz has been a valuable partner in our marketing plan. We have an established, long term relationship with the company and find that the platform they provide helps us reach our customers (and potential customers) with up-to-date product photos. This platform allows potential customers to contact us directly but also provides the tools for us to set parameters for generated leads. I appreciate the regular tele-meeting reviews with Haley Hinman who keeps me abreast of any new features Houzz launches and shows a genuine interest in helping our profile succeed.
Ati, and Houzz have been very accommodating to our small business needs. They seem to understand that not all companies have large budgets. I'm personally very grateful for their efforts in catering for us, and getting us started on our Houzz journey. We're enjoying the professional platform, and hoping it will lead to increased business.
Answer: After being hounded for years by their persistent sales team we finally committed for a year of "Pro" service for our design company. This was very expensive and yielded no solid leads after one year. For comparison, Google gave us over 3,300 referrals in a year, Instagram almost 1,000. Houzz Pro? 35. In an entire year. Less than 3 click throughs a month for $400 a month. After a year they renewed us on a month to month basis for $400 a month with no fore warning or any follow up to see what we had thought of their "service". Our Houzz Pro "dashboard" contains no information on billing, renewal terms or renewal dates. To cancel your auto renewal you have to do it on the phone, 30 days in advance. Our sales rep. No longer answers emails and will not address this issue. We are disputing this with Visa and we keep getting charged. We block Houzz Pro and next month we get billed by Houzz Advertising. Truly a terrible, parasitic, dishonest company that provides zero value. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
