“Good site for side hustle money”

Ben J.
2/14/24

I signed up to PrizeRebel to make some extra money as a side hustle. So far it's been working out fairly well as I'm able to make a hundred dollars or so every month when I have free time to take surveys. I've cashed out through paypal, amazon gift cards and cryptocurrency. It's worth trying out when you have free time and their support team is fairly good whenever you encounter an issue and you will get a reply within 24 hours.

"It's a waste of time. You could spend over 30 minutes doing a survey, and it will say "completed". Then, you get the message "we are sorry, this was not a good fit for you." After that, they steal and use your answers, but keep your incentive. This is the biggest survey scam on the web. So, steer clear of this money-stealing scam."

Hi Anthony, I apologize for the inconvenience you experienced on the survey. Unfortunately surveys can choose to disqualify you at various points in the survey. We are against this practice if it is a late disqualification and if you let us know we can remove the survey.

After 3 days filling up surveys and spending around 4 hours in total, I only managed to collect 500 points. This points could be exchange for a $5 paypal voucher, which I requested. As soon as I did, they sent me an email claiming I had not verified my account with a proper ID and they were gonna close my account. They never asked me to do so before, nor even at the time of requesting the $5 dollars, so it all sounds like they take advantage of people to fill up surveys and then put some excuses not to pay.
1. Not reliable.
2. If you want to make $5 a week for spending 3-4 hours, go ahead, but I don't think is wirthy, specially if they gonna make some excuse not to pay you (and earn the money them selves).

I registered myself in prizerebel only to get stuck at 100 points even after 10 days! There appeared to be multiple surveys to choose from, but for no particular reason, they keep disqualifying you!
So, please don't waste your valuable time on such cheap platform!

Hi Weenuy. We're sorry to hear about your less than stellar experience with PrizeRebel. We constantly strive to provide our members with the most surveys that they qualify for. Unfortunately, each survey has a set of qualifications determined by the researchers and survey provider to accept both you and your response. If you do not fit the qualifications for the survey, they survey provider may disqualify you from the survey. Our team are constantly working with different partners to add surveys for all members.

I feel completely conned by this survey company and they have wasted many hours of my time! Please keep away if you value your time and effort. At first, I did 3 or 4 surveys that took a couple hours of my time and managed to claim £3.80 via paypal. It seemed ok and fast payout. The next batch of surveys kept knocking me out half way or most of the way through or just glitching with errors. That was 4 hours of my time wasted, but I just thought it might be down to bad luck or the demographic isn't suitable. The next day I continued to do another 5 surveys which where fully completed and I didnt get the points for them. This was another 3 hours wasted as 1 or 2 of them took a lot longer than the stated time. I complained to customer service and gave screenshots for each survey not credited and just received generic responses stating that they will enquire with the survey provider to credit the missing points for 5 surveys. I left it for a few days, no further responses and still don't have my points. I've just tried 1 more survey on gaming and it asked my 16 year old daughter if she was willing to participate and she did for 20 mins for the rest of the survey as required. She completed the survey, should of been 106 points and it just redirected at the end to a page stating that the survey was no longer required, so shes had her time wasted as well. It seems that Prizerebels stratergy is to sucker you in when you first join by giving you a couple of surveys that go smoothly and let you get a bit of money. Then once you get going the surveys are fiddled with full of errors and excuses to get you to do part or full surveys without paying you and this company keeps the credit for your work.
Absolutely disgraceful, you have been warned! Most of the positive reviews on here are probably done by Prizerebel themselves... I wouldn't put it past th

We're sorry to hear about your frustration. Each survey has a set of qualifications that are set by the researcher for their studies. This can limit the number of surveys you can complete. We do recommend checking back the following day or with our other survey providers if you are seeing more disqualifications. New surveys are constantly being uploaded by the researchers for different demographics and researchers.

Had been using them for surveys and received my rewards for a couple
Of months, then suddenly without any warning got an email to say my account was closed. No idea why. I still had points for 3 x $5 gift cards that they owed me and now can't get for surveys I completed. I have sent them emails they are not responding to. I would not recommend prizerebel now and feels ripped off.!

If you have a brain, read the negative reviews. I joined this website back in November using a list of recommendation from Surveypolice. I can't even tell how bad these scammers are. After some days after requesting payout they closed my account and requested ID, which I provided because I am legit. It has been more than a month they ran away with my ID docs doing idk what. Typical scammers and ID fraudsters. And not to mention my account is still closed and no one replies to emails about them.

Prize Rebel used to be good. Lately, there are many issues with surveys being fully completed and not crediting. Their supposed customer support guy will give you a canned response that they are reaching out to the survey provider but basically, you are put of luck. One day, I was ripped off for over 400 points. You can bet PR got paid.

I have been using PrizeRebel for 2 years already and have noticed this year 2022 that I get disqualified after spending 20-30 minutes on a survey. Even when I sent screenshots that I completed the survey, customer service at PrizeRebel is useless and we get arguments that it does not count as completion. I am tired of doing surveys for PrizeRebel and recommend going to Swagbucks instead.

Tokenization of currency and payments: They award you with points that can be exchanged for real money, so it's a gimmick to try and make users think they're making more than they actually are.

Not enough work for everybody: You'll have to answer surveys before you can answer PAID surveys. You'll end up working for hours without receiving anything, because you're never "a match" for the "paid" surveys. Problem with that is you already wasted a lot of time and effort answering their probes and the companies already got the data they wanted without paying you anything.

Conclusion: Stay away from Prizebell and any other service that promises to pay you to work answering surveys. They are very dodgy and their true purpose is to collect as much personal data as possible without paying for it. You're lured by the promise of money and end up losing time AND money.

Tip for consumers:
It's not a get-rich-quick scheme or a Ponzi/pyramid scheme, but it's the next generation of scams, so just as bad. People know there's no way to get rich quick and easy, but making a living or some extra money still sounds nice. There's nothing free of charge in this world, so in this one you'll be rarely getting a few cents by spending hours of your time and a lot of your personal data.

Products used:
They're not selling a product or service, they're scamming people out of their precious time and valuable data.

Hi Diego, I'm sorry to hear that you did not have a pleasant experience. For market research surveys, you do have to qualify for the survey as market researchers are looking for individuals in certain locations and fit a specific demographic that they are looking for. Any data that you input for market search surveys are not saved if you are disqualified for the survey. I apologize that you were not happy with the experience. We do our best to make sure that it is smooth as possible and offer disqualification points to users when they are disqualified. I hope you can give us another try in the future.

Verified purchase

After many frustrating hours of surveys getting to 90-99% complete and THEN being rejected i managed to accrue enough points for a £5 amazon gift card. Made my claim. Decided to do no more as i was getting pretty annoyed at the rejections which generally happened when they were asking my ethnicity, my locale or gender, again. They already asked at the start so if i don't fit requirements end it at the start.

Anyhoo. 24 hours later i get this;

Hi Richard,

Your account was flagged by a security check that is conducted for newer users in order to prevent fraud. We will reopen your account once ID check is completed.

We understand that this an inconvenience, but it is necessary due to the amount of fraud accounts that we encounter.

Please respond to this email with a clear picture of your government issued ID or Drivers License to verify your name and address. Your picture must also include a piece of paper with the date and PrizeRebel.com handwritten on it to verify that the ID is in your possession. The photo must be clear and of good quality, as otherwise it will not be accepted.

You can black out information such as your ID Number and photo for privacy.

We DO NOT accept scanned images. Your privacy is important to us. We DO NOT keep this information. This information is deleted once verification has been completed.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to hearing from you.

Wish i had checked reviews more closely as there are so so many the same as mine when you look down the page.

Ah well lesson learnt and hope this helps someone out

They closed my account just after trying to withdraw 5$ amazon gift card, and they asked me to sent an ID!
The surveys are so long, they told you the survey would take 5 min but it take more than 20 min, I completed 5 surveys without get awarded with points, it's just a waste of your time, if you want to answer surveys so this site is not the one to start with.

Have been a member for just over a year now. Support is seriously lacking and I'm not sure if it's only me but I don't even have the option to reach out to support unless it's through email, even then 'Susan' ignores any and all complaints.

Tried to redeem $45 today as a platinum member and they have magically put a hold on my account, no response to emails. Not impressed.

Everyday I do surveys on on their website and I get screwed on about 4 of them every single day. This site is getting worse and worse and worse everyday. I'm getting so fed up with their B. S. I always take my time and don't speed through the questions and always answer truthfully and honestly. I don't understand why they make you take a 25 minute survey for a lousy 75 cents and then have the audacity to tell you unfortunately you don't qualify for the survey after I just completed it wasting 25 minutes of my precious time. I am so frustrated with these idiots / morons and getting ready to just leave them the worst nastiest message that I can think of on their help/ customer support link. They can stick their prizerebel B. S. up their where the sun don't shine. Also I'm a diamond member and they just don't give a rat's $#*!. Stay away from these crooked S. O. B's..

I decided to give prize rebel a try since they say they are not like these other sites. Lol they are just as bad I played a board kings almost non stop for 4 days even spent money to make purchases and once I finally got to the level to claim my points needed to redeem all of a sudden it's being held under review. If there was a problem than you should not have allowed me to spend money on the game. What a joke.

I recently tried this survey site and stopped usinng it. I like to try these survey sites, use till I reach $20 and cash out. This site offers non stop surveys but they do not like to pay you when you cash out. I had reached the $20 mark cashed out and my reward never came, I waited a few months nothing. I followed up with several emails they never answered one of them. Conclusion, if you just want to do surveys fine but if you are expecting a reward stay away from this site.

Tip for consumers:
Dont waste your time, there are other sites that will pay you for surveys.

If you don't mind spending hours upon hours entering the same info over and over and over and over and over again to maybe, a big maybe, qualify for a survey that will get you to within 400,000 light years of the lowest possible reward, then have at it. Otherwise, your time would be far better spent outside digging through Dumpsters for aluminum to recycle for cash.

You can quite literally do anything better with your time, this site takes advantage of the less fortunate by offering 50 cents to a dollar or more (if your lucky) for what has to be mind numbing tedious chores of surveys for 30 min to and hour each if you're doing it legit, which btw is unrealistic when they're looking for such a ridiculous demographic I mean COME ON, Looking for multimillionare business owners lmfao are you kidding me what a joke. That's not all, a lot of the surveys aren't set up right so you don't get paid at all and some even steal your information and sell it!. I feel like this is just a sick joke rich people pull on the poor because there's no way these people are legit. Go mow some lawns if you need money, stay away from these god awful sites.

I am registered at 20+ survey websites, and PrizeRebel is the worst. Customer service is terrible - they never respond any emails, they just block you instead with no reason. When they block you on the website, they also block you on social media, like Facebook, so you will not be able to contact them at all. I have never had such experience with any other survey websites. They even do not want to look into the issue, just send a generic response when see my review about them on other websites. What can be worse?

I have been a member of prize rebel for years and loved it. I thought they had great customer service compared to some sites. Made an effort to connect on social media and free points etc.

That all came to a screeching halt when I was told I had made well over the amount needed and they wanted my tax ID info on a W9. I can understand this, but usually a site will let you know before you reach that point and then provide you a secure link to submit the information, or you can stop cashing out until the following tax year.

Not how it went with Prize Rebel. They actually wanted me to fill out the form and send it to them to their support email in an unsecured jpg file! Maybe some people do not care about giving out their SS# but I am not one of them.

First they locked my account so I could not cash out, then they unlocked it and sent an email saying sorry. Then I got another email saying they wanted the info and if I did not comply that I was again locked out and would not be able to cash out!

I expressed my concerns about the unsecure way they wanted me to send this info... I can't believe they could not even figure out a secure service to do this.

While I enjoyed earning a considerable amount on all my referrals there, I was not going to risk having my identity stolen over $1500-2000 in referral earnings per year.

It's funny this never came up in the last couple years as I've been steadily making that amount on my referrals. I can't help but wonder if they decided to single me out and ask me to do something that no one of sound mind would agree to, so that they could stop paying me the 30% referral.

Very disappointed in how this was handled. My last email I asked them if there was no way to submit the info in a secure fashion that I would like my account closed. So far no response. I will update if they do anything to redeem themselves.

Oh and for the record, I keep records and pay taxes on all my online earnings. My accountant keeps track of it for me, so it was not about not wanting the income reported, but the insecure and haphazard way they wanted me to do it.

Also if they had let me know this I could have also started cashing out to paypal and avoided this because Paypal is required to report earnings, which negates the earning sites not responsible for collecting the tax info. It actually causes a conflict when you have both collecting the info and sending out 1099s, because then it looks like you have double earnings.

Thanks for reading my review.
