False advertising. Also try to force you to upgrade. Guy on phone just says order already shipped no matter your question... no tracking though. Then ask for a manager and says he is the manager and you're not doing him any favors shopping there! Will be disputing the charges if order isn't cancelled.
Purchased digital camera online but haven't heard from them so i called them to confirm my order. First of all they weren't picking the phone, then somebody picked it up and said that the camera is not in stock and i can't git it before a month or more. Very suspicious, rude, seems like scammers. Check with your bank and credit card provider please.
I was pretty sceptical after placing an order then seeing soo many bad review... well, here's what I found. The service folks were great, (I called; I was concerned) they were friendly and very forthcoming of all these reviews as well as happy to help navigate around and avoid a repeat of them. Yes they do sell an international version as well as a retail(U.$.) version. Because Canon does! Ordered 5D Mark IV from them, and its awesome! So be sure you know that going in, they will call you to ensure that you have ordered the desired version, which is great business not a scam. And for the sake of it. You dont have to buy every extra and package they are going to offer but if you do order some/any they give one heck of a deal. Best prices around. So you may have to jump thru the check which model hoop in order to save 400 buck. Was well worth it to me! Awesome deal!
As everyone indicated, this is a fraud. DO NOT order from them. Same experience, they indicate it doesn't come with battery. I then told him I'm find with it. Then he tells me it doesn't come with WIFI. I told him I don't use it. Then he tells me it doesn't come with English and is missing functions. Hilarious. He kept trying to upsell me to a "full model". And of course he gets really pissed when you start questioning him. Canon doesn't sell a new camera that comes without battery, strips away functions, comes in a diff color, and runs only in Chinese. Bruce is a complete fraud. The number is *******502 x1. This is a pure jerk who is exploiting people. Bruce from Power Seller, I truly hope people become aware of this before they order.
I ordered a camera this morning because the price was "too good to be true", and I guess it was. I got the same email message from "bruce" (his spelling, not mine" requesting that I call him to confirm my order. There was really nothing to "confirm", he had all my information (including credit card and phone number). Red flags went up and I looked and found this site with all the $#*!ty reviews and the same stories over and over. Fortunately I called my credit card company and the charges were not posted yet so I put a stop on my card before PowerSellDigital could rip me off. I'll order the camera from B&H Photo tonight for $100 more and PowerSellDigital and "bruce" can go $#*! themselves.
I was interested in buying a Canon 5D S and found one on power seller digital.com. The price was $2039. Not anyplace on page where I purchased it did it say that all of the settings where in something other than English, so I called power seller digital.com. I encountered an agent that was the rudest, unprofessional, accusatory, condescending and uninformative. This is by far the absolute worst experience I have ever had purchasing online something that I do every day. I would caution you DO NOT BUY from powersellerdigital.com!
I have had the same issues with them like every one else, except that I cancelled my orders, the fist one the confirmation email/?! And the second time was that my order was a back order and I was never notified. I knew the prices were too good to be true.
The price was right - until they called and told me the camera does not come with a battery but they can throw it in there for $$$$$$. On the spot I thought -huh- that does not sound right but ok -
I looked it up after - the battery should come with the camera. I should have bought from a known business. I also can't return it unless I want to pay a 15% return fee. To be fair - I paid about the amount I would have paid from Amazon - but NOT a DEAL. There are other deals out there that do include the battery.
Total bullcrap. Ordered from these clowns before I read the reviews. Same as everyone else. When I didn't want their batteries and other high priced junk they sell I was told it would ship immediately. 5 days later I called and they said the camera was on backorder and I jumped on that and cancelled my order. Funny thing is that I was looking to buy a gray order camera without the battery and wasn't surprised when "bruce" told me was the international model. They lose money when when you don't buy their extra crap so don't expect to get your order. Thank God I used a credit card instead of debit or my money would have been locked up until they felt like giving it back, which probably would have been never. Use a credit card on online purchases because they will fight for you. Powersellerdigital is a scam website for sure, don't waste your time or you'll be out a lot of time and money.
This company is a scam. They don't have in stock what you order, then they scam you into paying for a bundle that is 3 times what you would pay elsewhere and then charge you 15% restocking free, in addition shipping (they you weren't charged for, they charge you for) they keep ($40-90), and also any warranty ($100s)... so you're lucky if you get half you money back. They also hang up the phone and have the absolute worst customer service. DO NOT USE this site.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I should have read the reviews before I bought. Not only did they pull the battery scam on me. When I received my order the invoice was for even more than the camera and the additional battery with no itemization or reasoning why, I went back to the email they had sent me after purchase. There is NO write up in the email describing what I purchased or at what price. I called and they said the extra charge was for the battery charger. What the heck? They were NOT authorized to charge my card for more than what I purchased and I think its ridiculous that a charger wouldnt be included with the camera. As this was for my sons birthday and already late, I tried to let this go. (Besides, they have a 15% restocking fee for returns!).
If that wasnt bad enough, when I opened the box, the camera was the wrong color! These guys should be shut down!
I purchased my camera 2-1/2 years ago. At the time, I was told I am receiving a 3 year warranty (as stated in my invoice). When I contacted them to say my camera is malfunctioning, they told me to contact Nikon directly (Nikon warranties the product for only one year) or the "warranty company that I filed the camera under"(?). I told them that the warranty was provided by PSD and they kept insisting that "they aren't a warranty company and have no idea who honors the warranties they provide.
Typical internet scan that, unfortunately, I fell for.
Ordered a Nikon b500 on Cyber weekend. I wanted the plum color which the site said was in stock. I received it in red. No instruction booklet, warranty etc. Camera was not in original packaging - just wrapped in bubble wrap. I also got the phone call that I needed the battery. What a joke. It uses 4 AA batteries. The battery pack is just a recharger. I didnt know this so I ordered it. I also didn t know there were shipping charges. That is in the fine print - not the amount though. I called them. Got a rude representative. I may send back and just pay the restocking fee. Wiser now.
I ordered a Canon G2 and was told it was on the way. I received and email asking me to call and verify my purchase. When calling, I'm told there's no battery or charger with the unit. I say OK, I'll get those on my own- send along the camera. I wait 4 weeks - no camera. I call (4 days before Christmas) and am told they cancelled my order! I asked WHY - and was told they were out of stock. I wanted to know why they hadn'd contacted me, to which they insisted they did. I can assure you - they did NOT! This ruined Christmas for my daughter, as this was the ONLY thing she wanted. I will NEVER use this company - and have been going out of my way to put reviews, BBB complaints, FB posts, and anything else I can think of to let people know what a bunch of fraudulent $#*!s they are.
If you are going to scam someone at least don't be an A**hole! So glad I Called first before finishing payment! Do not use them! No battery or charger came with the camera! For a few bucks more you can get everything and insurance from a reputable source!
Ordered a camera 6 weeks ago for a birthday this weekend. I've been calling on and off for 2 weeks, being told they were checking, should he delivered tomorrow, etc. Still don't have the camera. Customer service was terrible. I cancelled the order today. It took seconds to charge my credit card but was told 7-10 days for a refund. You could not pay me to do business with them ever!
When purchasing any item online, and particularly a camera, when ordering by phone I always write down each item being discussed: the camera, extra battery, memory cards, etc., along with the itemized price. QuickStopCamera advertised an attractive price of $599, but it didn't take long to realize everything else included in the standard box was added beyond that. That's not the issue. When everything was added up I confirmed the total, wrote it down and circled it. Imagine my surprise when the enclosed invoice showed nearly $50 more. The fast talker who responded to my inquiry left no room for discussion about the difference and I realized I'd been had. Nice camera, but I would certainly caution against QuickStopCamera.
I have placed an order online for thanks giving thursday, everything went well with the online order, got a confirmation even email confirmation. But on next tuesday email came from there sales saying contact them, When I did, They said we cancelled your order as they are out of camera's. How does that make sense, after giving confirmation of order, i din't go for other awesome deals because I already ordered from here. Even I called in the following sat when i ordered just to check status of my order, no one answered.
This company sold me a broken Nikon camera that came in a tattered box and with parts falling out of the inner container. This was supposed to be a gift for my dad but looked like I had found it while dumpster diving. The company uses a bait and switch where they advertise a lower price and then up charge you on things that should be included (like a battery). If you try to cancel your order because you don't want to deal with frauds, they try and charge you a cancellation fee
I had the same negative experience as others. Price for my camera was $299.00, amount charged was $326.95. When I called they said the $27.95 was a 9% handling fee and claimed it is disclosed in their terms and conditions. There is no disclosure. They advertise one price and charge another. Search around, you'll find a lot of negative reviews for this seller.
Answer: We did get the camera we ordered, but it was nowhere near the deal it seemed unless you just want a camera with no normal retail stuff. I would buy somewhere else. With their deceptive practices, who knows what the warranty situation is.
Answer: No I wasn't charged extra for battery or charger. Camera came in wrong box, and lens was shipped 3 days later in a plain white box, no warranty info, or instruction manuals, no cd. Those always come with new boxed set up. I could care less about a battery! And that's not what I said. Go ahead, and order from them, Gabe, I know what I'm doing, and my order wasn't new, no way. May have been store samples ect. But dealers don't change boxes, and leave out instruction manuals. Glenn P
Answer: This place is part of a network of knock-off/overseas unlicense products retailers, selling this items... once they find the item you ordered thru one of their associates and agree on a shared revenue within themself then they will bill you and the item will be shipped by whom actually has the item... these items are 3rd wold countries items and not license to be sold in the USA... sometimes been shipped from overseas as the deals are made... the best examples I can give is with Nikon lenses which its serial number must start with the letters "US" ( like US12345678)... calling nikon usa will confirm this... if your lense serial number is missing the letters then it's either a cheap knock-off (usually made in china) or a product made for a non american make (what they try to call European model) or unlicensed... nikon does make some of their lense in China but they WILL have a US serial number... yes im also stupefied as to how this places continue to operate...
Answer: I came across onestopccamera.com and also all these reviews but the prices look amazing but Im just wondering if this place is a scam or if somehow people are upset about that $50 for a battery and charger. Anyhow, has you received your order?
