“Lobster tales christmas 23”

Jeffrey M.
3/7/24

Ordered lobster tails on pinterest Christmas 23. Never heard a damn thing. Money was taken 2 days after ordering from my bank account. Still to this day 3/7/24 haven't heard a goddamn thing and yes I am pissed. Pinterest seems to be a place where criminals can play their games. Pinterest needs to do alot better at policing their website. In my book pinterest sucks real bad!

More advertisers filling up the space vs the DIY projects/ideas. Also, they're apparently not vetting these advertisers for fraud or misleading information. Businesses using 'going out of business' 'selling off inventory' etc. are some of their scams, and most of them are coming out of China. Reported them with all the documents necessary to prove my case. Interesting how quick their ads disappear.

Tip for consumers:
Buyers beware of scams. Don't trust Pinterest to verify that advertisers are legit.

Another great site gone bad!

What used to be a great place to share ideas and DIYs has turned into a billboard for advertisements. You have to weed through the ads to finally get to the articles you were actually looking for... so shameful. It's just as easy to type in your search on your browser and avoid the useless ads. Pinterest is getting too greedy for their own good and becoming more like the media.

I find Pinterest a great site for pics for any occasion but a lot of the merchants on this site have very low trust scores. Not a safe site to order items from. I highly recommend you vet all merchants to assure you are buying from a reputable site. Trust Pilot is a great source.

I finally got myself a Pinterest page yesterday and I'm on the fence as far as what I think about them.
They have beautiful pictures and a large variety as well but I found it EXTREMELY frustrating that you can't share any of their stuff without it stating that it's from Pinterest!
I mean, lighten up a little bit Pinterest! What would it harm if you allowed for some of the pics to not have your company name attached to it!?

Tip for consumers:
I found it to be extremely frustrating so make sure you breath, lol.

I initially loved Pinterest as I followed likeminded pinners. Lately thats all changed, if I go to my home page its a mishmash of Images and articles which do not even remotely relate to what I am pinning. Its a landmind of crap and if it doesnt improve I will no longer be using this app.

What happened? All of a sudden the view of the pins has changed. The view of my boards has changed and when I am going through boards and moving stuff around it doesn't go back to the board you were at, it goes to the top of your boards and you have to scroll down to where you were. Even the Save button has been put on the other side of the pin. What is up with that. When I first open Pinterest to see new pins, it is showing pins I have already pinned sometimes 2 and 3 times. This is not an improvement.

For me Pinterest is a personal platform, one that you go to in order to take time for yourself and not for the sake of connecting with your loved ones. Because of this, influencers are discovered differently on Pinterest, it is primarily by their content that users identify them, not by their reputation or identity. Indeed, a Pinterest user will not spontaneously search for influencers in the application's search bar but will discover inspiring content created by professional content creators as they use the platform.

I have noticed that it is becoming very political (both sides). And it seems like every3 pins I go to are no longer there; or even nothing to do with what was pictured.
Getting to big. Will DELETE soon I am sure

I reviewed the Pinterest terms when I signed up and re-reviewed them after receiving a notice of suspension. I have many personal and business ideas pinned that I am suddenly unable to access. Rather than some form of summary suspension, it would be courteous to be contacted about the potential concerns to see if suspension is warranted first. I find it insulting to be suspended without notice or specific reason. If this is going to be a practice, then I have little reason to participate in this community.

Looks like enough people bemoaned the sudden removal of titles on Pins, because they're back. It was totally useless without the text, now that it's back it's back to being a middle-of-the-road bookmarking site.

No more text with the pictures - what's the point
October 24th, 2019

It's always been a bit dicey trying to get things just so with Pinterest, but they recently removed the text titles. It's completely useless now. I don't know why I have a purple icon on my "recipes to try" page because the text is hidden. What's that image of a blanket on the "cool bathroom ideas" page? Oh, it's the ad on that page which was the only thing it could capture, so useless now. FFS at least figure out how people are using your app before obliterating it.

Someone decided to insert ads throughout the idea pictures. Annoying, greedy, and distracting to the viewer developing ideas. On top of this, the movement of the inserted videos of ads makes things even worse.

The arrangement of ads is visually sneaky and insidious in that you have to keep stopping visually, more and more to see if the item is actually related to what your are looking for or an ad.

And... had to go here because I couldn't find a place to leave feedback on the Pinterest website.

You're losing people with all of your changes. I've overheard so many people talking about how they used to literally spend hrs on it & now no longer even use it. The "picked for you", the pins that are actually ads, now we can no longer even see the pins due to the white circles. Please review & remove at least some of your changes before you lose all of your faithful followers.

I have been on Pinterest since 2015 and have both business and regular user accounts. Over those years I have been both pleased and disappointed with their "free" service. Knowing that I was but a guest allowed to use their service, I was always very supportive of Pinterest and accepted their unpredictability, such as rolling out changes to their format without warning or even letting their users know what was changed. It's their site and they can do whatever they want with it.
I have put in so much time and effort into creating over 170k Pins that were painstakingly crafted to cater to my audience and potential customers. This has allowed me to have over7M views per month and given me a steadily growing number of close to 100k followers. Those numbers of new followers and views normally continue to increase if Pinterest doesn't change things to make my Pins useless.
However, the one thing that Pinterest can be relied upon to do, is make frequent and unpredictable changes. I have never been notified or even seen a change management blog or anything made available to the public that would inform me on when or what changes were made. Though, the sudden decrease in overall numbers shown in their analytics service is a good indication that they changed things again.
If Pinterest would at least let their Pinners know what they changed, added, removed and how it will impact the Pins I have already created it would greatly improve the overall Pinterest experience. Until something like this is implemented, I can't recommend using Pinterest for anything anymore.

I never tried to contact Pinterest until two days ago. All they did was send me the exact same "fix" as they have in their help center, word for word. My boards rearrange themselves. I put them in alphabetical order and next time I log in, they are messed up. Also I spend five minutes trying to get a new board from the bottom to the top. It won't let me drag it more than one row at a time so I am siting here -drag and drop - drag and drop- all the way to where I want it. It does the same on my husband's computer so it's not that. I have tons of photos to put on Pinterest but hate to do them one at a time. Why can't we drag and drop from our own files on our computer. 'We used to be able to' is NOT an answer.Stop asking for my phone number when I log in. You're not going to call me, you won't even address my complaints.

It was a site full of really interesting content from all over the world.
Now its a kind of "ads!" "buy!" and so on. Sadly this is the tendency that is widely spread now. The adblock makes it look better, definitely.

Pinterest has changed! You used to get notifications every time someone liked or saved your pin or made a comment on your board, or started following you. Now all you get are these once a day notifications telling you in the shortest description possible, the amount of people who liked or saved your pins, or how many people followed you. It really doesn't show you who they are! And the covers of your boards aren't large like they used to be, they look kind of squished. There have been alot of changes! I just liked it better the way it was!

So now that I have been on Pinterest for years they have pigeonholed my pins. It's very frustrating. I don't want them to choose what I see, I want to choose what I want to see. Makes sense right?

It used to be so different but since last year when pinterest stopped letting people like pins and changed the demographic of pinners shown, things have gone downhill fast.

Firstly the quality of the pins are often mediocre, boring and repetitive plus the pins are now often blocked or lead to spam and I know pinterest wanted to move away from the social media side of things that's why they removed the like button but the likes helped to keep genuine content in the feed.

What's happening now is that there's also more men from all over the world on the site which is good but sadly some are there trying to turn it into a porn site, maybe because porn isn't easily accessible in all countries?. The comments page is sometimes used for this along with blatant self promotion. Customs, culture and style varies greatly even between neighbouring countries please don't lump us all together you've alienated some of your original supporters from your site.

Also because I'm in the UK a lot of my content is now from Europe seriously it doesn't work. When my content was UK and US based the views and general consensus of pins was the same. But now that far flung places are deemed as being the same because they're in the northern hemisphere I sometimes get at best irrelevant pins, uneducated pins, mocking poking fun, soft porn or just downright cruel especially when it comes to animals.

Yesterday I had to comment on a pin from eastern Europe a pin that had a ton of likes and comments. They were congratulating him on goldfish that had all been encased while still alive in resin to make... a coffee table. Sadly this type of pin isn't unusual since pinterest opened up.
Pinterest I'm off really soon.

I have painstakenly, with much time consuming effort, moved my boards. Over 100... to create a visually pleasing site in general. Two days ago, the boards were scrambled and I have tried to re organize them as before only to find they become out of order all over again. Very frustrating! Anyone else having this problem?

I don't like the fact that they have people "following" me who I DON'T EVEN KNOW! What's this about? They just put this crap on my profile w/OUT MY KNOWLEDGE?
I do like getting ideas for knitting and sewing patterns which is what I use it for... to get ideas on things. Some things cost bux tho... But overall it's okay. You can get some neat ideas and free stuff on there. I once tried to get FREE SAMPLES of? And I did start the process only to have my email FLOODED w/SPAM! You Need to be VERY cautious of what sites you go on! I found that out REAL FAST!
Ironically I googled a cousin of mine, name and I found HER! So it is good for such! I Couldn't believe that one! I hadn't seen or heard from her in YEARS! So I tried to see if she was on there and sure enough she was! Wow! There are Good things on here but as w/Always you Need to be careful!

Tip for consumers:
You may get on there and never get off!!!!

Their pin suggestions are way off. I mean, waaaay off. They send emails at an annoying rate. They used to be a place to collect great images, now they are just links to websites with an image and tons of ads. I used to love them. Not anymore.
