First I want to tell you about KAREEM, our server, From the moment she introduced herself and flashed that beautiful smile, She got me. I said to my husband she gets the biggest tip tonight good was delicious by the way. KAREEM was friendly, professional and ready to serve always asking us. Are you ok? Can I get you anything.else? What a pleasant young lady. I give Kareem a 10+10+10+10+ 10. This happened while we were Dining. So after wards we went to the bar. We sat there about 10 min before one of the servers respond as a matter of fact my husband had to ask to be served. As we sat where someone else was and they ate. That garbage stayed in front of us for a good 30 min before before it was moved. I am disappointed with the bar staff, no courtesy. Staff seemed preoccupied with other things. I give the bartenders. 5. I would definitely go back to pier 1 though. With people like Kareem there I definitely would go backbelow was garbage that previous guest left

This company probably is on the verge of bankruptcy. We're one of their suppliers, they haven't paid us since last August. We stopped ship for them. According to their website they don't do refund, the customers who have a pending order with us haven't get any money back yet. They are on our collection agency's list. If you want to place a order on their website, make sure if you can get a refund if they can't ship your order.

Pier 1 keeps cancelling my online orders, but then I see the items available on their website again. Either they have a major inventory issue, or they are just cancelling orders for no good reason. In the cancellation email there is no explanation as to why they cancel the order or apology. When you call customer service, it literally hangs up on you! Wow, what happened to this place?

We bought a diner set at Pier 1 and before buying got several reassurances that this set was a legacy set and would be carried by Pier 1 indefinitely. We bought it long before they shuttered their stores. As luck would have it, we lost a dinner plate and they have discontinued the line!
We trusted Pier 1 to maintain the pattern because nothing is more frustrating than to lose a complete set of plates, small plates, bowls and cup due to breakage.
Don't trust this company to keep their word on anything... wasted hundreds of dollars!

Tip for consumers:
Don't count on them keeping any stock for continuity items

Products used:
dinner plates and companion pieces will need to be replaced

It took about a month to get, which was fine. We were charged with a $200 fee for them to put it together for us (called white glove service.) It was not optional. And if you want to return it, you don't get that $200 fee back. You just lose it. Immediately ater the workers put the chair together, there were pieces of the chair already unraveling. It hadn't even been sat in! It looks more comfortable than it is. Definitely a comfy chair for kids. Not so much an adult. I wanted something that I could curl up in and read a book or take a nap in. This was not it. I would exchange it if they would give us the 200 back but I feel at a loss. It takes up a lot of space and we spent almost $1000.

I purchased Corrinne dinning chairs a year and a half ago for our dining room. Having to recently move them I found out the bottom half of the back of the chair is nothing more than cardboard. Now two of my chairs have large dents in the back. Considering I paid 260.00 and that was on sale I expected better than cardboard.

So after shopping religiously at Pier One for years, they decide to change the way they sell merchandise now. I walked into the store on Brownsboro Rd, Louisville Kentucky to find new items everywhere. In fact i wanted to purchase the very first picture on display in front. The manager informed me consumers now have to order everything online unless it's in the back of the store. The new merchandise can not be purchased because it was "in a display" (in the middle of the store.) They would gladly send it to my house but no buying anything at the store... I would love to know why they thought this was a good idea.

First time online order two items, towel rack need to repair ( think about return, already opened box, I have to drive to shop). Two chairs very bad, your hand feel painful when put on seating area, have to return. Customer service is nice. So I rating them two stars. Or just one star

They do not post your review if it's not good. We purchased a mosaic mirror that had 5 star reviews. We had to return twice due to poor quality mirrors (the tiles were ok). Both times, the mirtors came with chips and scratches that were very visible. The third one has one scratch but we decided to keep but i had to redo the hanging hardware so that i can rotate the mirror to hide the scratch. The design otherwise is very pretty. I tried to post a review which was confirmed would be posted in a week. That was a couple of months ago. It's never been posted.

So, I've been shopping at Pier One for over a decade and have a Pier One credit card--which is separate than their store business. So two years ago, I moved. My mistake. I notified the two separate accounts. Every time I have ordered anything or gone into my new local Pier One store, my account is NEVER correct. I have had the same cell number for 12 years yet they have it associated with someone else! I ordered a piece of furniture and did they send me a postcard to my new address? NO! They called a defunct phone number! Even though I explained my move is permanent and the old number is no longer working. Trying to change my address information involves repeated requests at the store and calling 'Customer Service' and waiting for ages to speak to a human! It's been a nightmare!

I find that this is a place that sells very high and probably pays next to nothing to the poor third world place that makes it.
