The overall reputation of the company reflects significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its customer service and support. Many reviews highlight frustrations with delayed transactions, ineffective resolution of disputes, and a lack of proactive communication. Customers frequently report feeling unsupported in cases of fraud or issues with received goods. However, some positive sentiments emerge, particularly regarding the perceived reliability of PayPal as a payment method for certain transactions, which customers associate with enhanced buyer protection. Despite this, the overwhelming trend indicates a critical need for improvement in customer service responsiveness and dispute resolution processes.

After using PayPal for 8 years I've had enough. Extended holds despite never having a charge back. Lousy customer service
This application only continues in the market because it's the only thing that people know.
Can't change the application language
Customer service doesn't exist
The fees are HIGH and they flag your account as a seller really easily
They hold your money for up to 21 days
Every time I had to receive money from friends (sadly PayPal being the only way they had) they charged me a lot.
If you can avoid using PayPal, please do. Stop giving more money to those rats
Buyer accidentally opened refund request. I uploaded proof of delivery and my conversation with buyer which was thru the paypal messenger where he stated he opened the refund request on accident and paypal still ruled the refund request in favor of the buyer refunded the money to the buyer.
I had paypal refunding me on the past, for cheap bad purchases, but when I had a real expensive problem (~$520!), it rejected my dispute without giving any reasonable explanation, even after 2 appeals (kept saying I modified the item, even though it was not true and the seller was the one installing it).
When you come to think of it it becomes clear they prefer not to refund the buyer: they get commissions only on performed transactions, not on cancelled ones...!
And you don't have any way of addressing them for an appeal (customer service, complaints and so).
DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITH THEM- they are just here to stop your money - hold it, and at the time of disputes, they do absolutely NOTHING. I should've known and not done any business under their name; this company is a MODERN SCAM. Do yourself a favor and stay away - your worst banking experience was a vacation compared to what you will go through with their customer support.
Don t use PayPal for payment in different currency the exchange rate applied is the worst on the market

Today I will make my last repayment to Paypal Credit and then I will close my account FOREVER. I have noticed my balance was incorrect, it shows I owe £132.31 when it should be £103.25. I have called Paypal customer service and the agent hanged up on me when I was not even losing my temper nor being rude. This I swear and that's the reason I decided to post this review. He was telling me the balance was correct and I was explaining to him that it was not because I got refunds for such amount and I made payments for such amount. He just hanged up. Basically I purchased for a total of £997.78 as purchases listed on the account, I received various refunds for a total of £322 and made several payments for £572.53 which means the balance should be £103.25. I verified it in three different ways and I had no late payment charge. The agent told me they allocated the amount I paid and the amount refunded by the retailer outlet in a way to avoid me any charge but still if you work out what I purchased, what was refunded and what I repaid, I should still get to £103.25. So Paypal Credit are thieves or their customer service is so bad that they don't check what they are doing. Goodbye!
In short, PayPal is a bad choice. The platform is unnecessarily complicated and creates a lot of headaches. Reporting a problem or resolving an issue is troublesome. Customer service is unreachable, leaving you trapped and frustrated, waiting for their action, which comes normally after unjustifiable very long time.
Any small business has live chat for support but PayPal is offering you a limited list of enquirers and if you did not find what you are looking for, they refer you to their community!
The fees are not only overpriced but also not being informed upfront.
I'm waiting to use up my remaining balance and I will shut my account for good.
I have been a customer with PayPal Credit for 2 years. I have never missed a payment or went beyond my 6 months same as cash. I am even now a homeowner and yet PayPal Credit has denied me an increase in my credit line for almost 2 years of having that credit line. This company is a joke...my credit union gave me an opening visa for a hell of alot more than PayPal had started me at. I am paying off my last purchase and closing everything linked to PayPal. This company can shove salt up *******@ss and rinse it out with v0dka for all I care.

I suspected fraudulent activity from this website https://www.casualdressessale.com/checkout/
Every time I tried to order a dress from the above website, right before tapping "order" the website diverted me to various individual's name. I attempted to report it to Paypal customer service, each time I spoke to a rep., they either didn't understand me, or didn't want to be bothered, and gave me the run around. Here lies the problem with Paypal as a company going outside the country with their customer service, the said employees can care less and they're not equipped to give outstanding customer service. I finally gave up and closed my Paypal account. Paypal as a company has shown time and time again, they don't care about our hard earned money, and they allow fraudulent activities to go on.
Second time I sent money to a company to purchase something because of PayPals claim of a guaranteed safe transaction. Did the purchase on a site using the PayPal link on the site to find out the funds were sent to a scam artist of the website he, she or many created.
Long store short… PAYPAL does NOT ever guarantee your funds when buying online. Happened once and no backing from PayPal. Couple years later now it has happened again. Shame on me…or Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. As the saying goes. I say Shame on PayPal for being a lier of stating they are guarantor of funds sent. I am closing my PayPal account after this and May PayPal rott in hell for being untruthful and untrustworthy
Warning! PayPal doesn't provide Purchase Protection to customers, but will protect blatant internet scammers because they make money from their transactions. I was sent rubbish instead of what I had ordered and PayPal requires that the item be sent back to the seller for inspection and approval before any refund can be given, minus the shipping costs. This is a huge problem when the shipping costs twice the amount of the product! Who in their right mind would ever fall for that scam? Send back a scammer's trash paying twice the amount of your potential refund to maybe get only the cost of the product itself and only if the scammer wants to give it back is a far cry from being considered any sort of Buyer's Protection Policy! Initially PayPal said that they would be reimbursing me, but needed to check with the seller again before doing so, then nothing. You can no longer speak to anyone at PayPal for any reason so you have to chat, but each response takes several hours and each time involves someone different that doesn't have the visibility of previous conversations over the same issue so it's like starting all over each time! After months of promises, guarantees and lies, they denied my claim for refusing to pay the shipping scam which now made it too late to contest with my credit card company as well. A total waste of effort, unjust frustration and a $360 lesson learned the hard way! Thanks PayPal! Who needs pals like that?!
If using paypal to order, they do not help in getting a refund if item is not received. I started using paypal so I wouldn't worry as much about scams.
Lost plenty of money to a fraudulent Chinese company because PayPal are absolutely useless when it matters. No interest in looking beyond the superficial and not interested in combatting blatant criminality through their site.
Customer service is not human friendly, I am not sure if live people are at PayPal. God help you if you have a problem with a purchase and you used PayPal. PayPal needs to be investigated by a governing agency. My dispute, I never received the product, my money was taken through PayPal. The shipper was USPS, their research showed the delivery receipt was fraudulent and noted the vendor was a fraud. PayPal denied my submittal stating the vendor supplied a delivery ticket but evidently never took the USPS statement into consideration.
I submitted everything PayPal requested and even the research from the delivery business but my creditable research did not have a bearing on my request. It seems as though has a immediate reaction to favor the vendor to preserve the money transaction.
***DON'T USE PAYPAL*** YOU DONT NEED THEM!
Impossible to contact support, and when you finally do, they are useless and rude, they threaten me and view me as a trash. Of course it's company policy to do that. They don't want to resolve any situation.
I purchased an item on Ebay, seller sends the wrong item, won't respond to my inquire to fix it. I ask PayPal to assist in getting me a return/refund. They agree but say I have to return the item myself before I can be refunded. The retail shipping on the item is more than the refund amount! So it looks like PayPal is assisting in fraudulent sales on Ebay now with zero recourse for the buyer.
Answer: I would not recommend PayPal to anyone for anything they're a joke of a business
Answer: Paypal will NOT be on your side if the item is not as described. I bought an item that was totally wrong, advertised as "handmade, hand quilted, made of brushed Kona cotton", picture was beautiful with wonderful quilting and vibrant colors and I was buying from a company from Texas. I received an item from Texas, not handmade, not hand quilted, not vibrant colors, not brushed cotton and it was just a picture printed on cheap polyester/nylon fabric. Hideous. I paid $99.90. Company first offered to refund $30, nope, still way too expensive for a cheap quilt that I wouldn't even use for my pets. Then said if I return the "quilt" to China at my expense they would refund the money. Cost to return? $70. Paypal agreed with this company, denied my claim and I'm sitting here with something I would feel cheated if I paid $10. Paypal is not the company it once was. Use your credit card as that company will have your back. Looking to see what a better option is than Paypal. 20 year customer and I'm done. I do not think anyone actually reads our messages to Paypal.
Answer: They have become a money laundry scamming allowing company. Stay away at any cost.
Answer: USPS delievered it to the wrong address my pacakge was supposed to be delievered too 35710 Bay Morgan Ln, Fallbrook, CA 92028 when USPS delivered it to an address simillar to this one 12354 Alcatal Street (do not know the exact address since they did not email me, but you can call USPS and ask, and that is how I found out) Fallbrook, CA 92028, right city and zip code, far away address.
Answer: I'm thinking someone has to work there, if you send messages you will get a canned reply, I get the same response from 10 messages, basically "suck it up buttercup, you have just been played" but if you try to actually talk to a person good luck.
Answer: They dont. They wait for you to forget it. You get money back if you fill in a form after 180 days.
Answer: Do never send money to PayPal. That money is lost. This company has become a Giants money laundry company.
Answer: No there is not. PayPal protects scammers. Be sure to never use them.
Answer: It doesn't matter if you report them or not PayPal won't do nothing about it they continued to let the scammers operate on their site and do not protect consumers
Answer: SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH THAT LOT, THEY CLAIM TO REFUND AMOUNTS PAID FOR ITEMS THAT DO NOT ARRIVE THATS "BS" I HAVE HAD 3 SUCH CLAIMS FROM 14 TRANSACTIONS AND HAVE NEVER GOT A REFUND DESPITE THEIR CLAIMS, THEY ARE CROOKS, FULL STOP, KEEP WELL CLEAR OF THEM.
