Paper Cavalier

I gave them all benefit of the doubt the first time when they returned a book as not the quality as advertised although that has almost never happened to me. The second time they claimed a book that had a delivery receipt, never arrived. I had proof it arrived so I told them to file a claim with Amazon. I'm the most honest bookseller but I was suspicious. Then went online and saw all these bad reviews. They are the only buyer I have had this experience with. I don't trust that anything I send them will not "go missing" anymore. It's expensive for me to ship esp with the postage increase not carried through to the amazon allowance, so I try to avoid returns (and scams) at all costs. Be careful with these guys. Sorry to say.

Book sold on amazon.ca purportedly in "New" condition. Under amazon.ca Condition Guidelines, a book that is in "New" condition is: "A brand-new, unused, unread copy in perfect condition." Book arrived with visible stains on the foot and fore edges of the text block, looking like it had been stored next to a bubbling pot of tomato sauce. Characterization of the book's condition as "New" was thus deceptive and inconsistent with amazon.ca Condition Guidelines, and the deception by the seller was further aggravated by the premium price that was charged for the volume. Will not buy from Paper Cavalier again.

I heard a wonderful fiddle tune online recently, and then the fiddler said he'd learned it from a book of fiddle tunes from Prince Edward Island, Canada. Paper Cavelier had the book, but warned it was no longer in new condition, but that it seemed okay. I ordered it; it arrived in a sturdy cardboard envelope. Not new, but perfectly acceptable, with a few signs of use (folded corners on some pages) that showed me someone had USED the book. And there were more than 400 tunes! I was pleased with my purchase and the seller's handling of the merchandise.

The book I was wanting to purchase was long out of manufacturing date. I knew it would be used, thats fine, described as very good condition. What I got was a book that was never opened. The price was great especially since its in new condition. Then I was told it would be 14-28 days to receive. It came today 8 days after I ordered and over a holiday. Im highly impressed and when I need another book this is where I will check first. I found the book on Abe Books

My brother has impaired vision. He can't drive anymore. He couldn't read his Bible even under a low vision machine. He has the giant print New Testament Bible. I'm so pleased with finding the Old Testament Bible for him! Its condition is brand new! I can't wait to give this to him!

A while ago I was looking for a book, which has almost disappeared from the market. Paper Cavalier found this book for me, but during the delivery something went wrong. The book was damaged, but could be used. I asked about a possibility to change book for another, but there was none available. When I sent photos of the book to Paper Cavalier, they immediately agreed to a compensation, even though the damage was not their fault. I was happy with the outcome and would not hesitate to buy from this company, should I need something within the range of their supply. K

This company has bought several books from me through Amazon. I assume they have a customer and sell them on. I see no problem with that and that is how business works. Good luck to them.

I waited 2 months for a book which was described as "like new". I paid upfront for the book plus shipping. When it arrived, its pages were full of mould. Having asthma, this book is only fit for the bin. As well, mould can migrate into other books in your library. They could not supply a replacement book. They offered a 60 per cent rebate. I wrote saying that is unacceptable, no reply to date. I'm left out of pocket with a book that is garbage.

I am happy to report the bookseller, Paper Cavalier, has contacted me and
Has offered to send me a replacement book in "Like New" condition from their London office.
I encourage anyone who has had a disappointing experience with this company to contact them through their website and seek fair treatment.
I sent a photo of the damaged book and I will destroy it. I feel certain that they will follow through with their promise and my hope is they will follow up with all disappointed customers and turn around their negative reviews. They are a small company who showed me today that they want to be reasonable and build a better relationship with their customers.

Papercavalier is just another reseller that posts thousands of ads on Amazon for things they don't even have. When they get an order, they just buy a cheaper one from another Amazon seller, have it sent to them, and they resend it to their buyer. The buyer thinks it's coming from the UK, so they expect shipping to take a long time. They claim to have all these rare books, but they don't have any books. We DO have real books, IN STOCK, and we get a lot of orders from them, with their buyer's order number attached (because they are reselling). So if you see papercavalier as a seller, you know you are OVERPAYING and getting SCREWED out of money you could have saved from buying from a real buyer. Just another scammer...

The book arrives in a timely manner, as promised, and helps complete this series by Zelzney. Too bad the series isn't really worth all the hooplaa about it.

I ordered a deck listed as "Very Good" the cards were still wrapped! The package arrived in a week!
