Hello, I've been trying to play my game for about 2 days, The origin app kept freezing & then every time I opened it, it'll close right back out. Then my game wouldn't even download right. Can y'all please fix your app or something like this ridiculous I paid for a game that I can't even play right now!
I only use it when I play sims. Which is every so often. It takes ************** years to start just the log in screen. I just sit there clicking, and half the time I never even get a chance to play because it takes all day. Plus it crashes.
In the past I hated this service for lot of reasons but it made some progress. As an easy loader/uploader of EA games and their DLCs it is now even - I'd say - decent. However one of the extremely annoying features remains. They set the language of their store depending on your IP address and there is absolutely no way to change it. So if you're English/International speaking person working in Germany for example you cannot read the store in English. But at least the purchased games are now offered in English version too.
I want to thank everyone at Origin Broadband for the smooth transfer of broadband supply recently.
In particular thanks to Gareth at the technical dept who helped me with a Wi Fi password problem. He was very patient on each of the three times I phoned. He took me through the steps for password set up and even though I typed in the wrong password Gareth guided me through the process again until it was successful. Gareth was friendly and knowledgable and a credit to your company
They should remove the two-way verification option from getting enabled because then if a user has lost his/her phone then there is no way from entering the website(if the user has enabled two-way verification)
I regret that EA decided not to publish their games on Steam anymore several years ago - so I was using Origin to buy Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3. The app works great, even though it does not have that scope of discounts as Steam plus that number of games on shelves. But if you need something from EA - you just have no choice.
I need from you to help player of Anthem to not meet the problem that I met. I mean the FPS Drops or lagging and I meet all the requirments for playing it, but the FPS is dropping. Please fix the problem.
Thank you for attention
Origin does give out free games every so often. I really only had the account for a specific game until I found that out and took full advantage of it.
Games are great... until you have technical issues. After multiple calls over the course of a week, my issue still isn't resolved. So, today, they finally tell me they're going to elevate my ticket. But with an elevated ticket, they will only communicate through email. Which could take days to get resolved. I was told I'd get the first email in a matter of minutes, it's now going on two hours. Assuming that the first email resolves the issue, which I'm sure it won't, I have already not been able to play my games for a week. One phone call taking a few minutes could quite possibly resolve the issue, but they will not communicate by phone. Meanwhile, I have a fortune in games that I can't play. Their tech people are lazy and their customer service bites the root.
Worst company ever! Had no internet for 5 days and phoned them up over 30 times and been on hold over 2 hours on each occasion! Still dont know what's wrong with it! Please avoid its cheap for a reason
Don't use origin or ea for anything. They are a very unethical company. They will make charges on your account then tell you that you did it and refuse to fix their mistake, that actually makes it fraud. The first support person i talked to on they phone lied to me and said its not possible to get my stolen money returned. They charged 99 dollars to my account and changed my subscription for no reason. I fought with them for hours on the phone to finally get a a so called specialist to agree to return my money then they don't do it. It seems that you can't even remove credit card info from there site. Stay away from this this company and their games, you will get ripped off.
I called them for an issue I couldnt get done online. The waiting duration and waiting music/blabbering was so mind-numbing that I decided to cancel my connection altogether. I found a different provider while waiting, signed up(!) and by the time it was my turn, I CANCELLED!
SO RELIEVING - thanks guys!
Contrarily to other complaints Origin do have discounts & sales and Steam is actually more expensive than Origin. I have purchased full deluxe digital games on sale for 1/4 of price listed on Steam. You also get a game for free from Origin every month, so I have at least 8 I got for free from them now. Origin doesn't have same ugly grey design as Steam, their support is great too.
I play a game that is offline. I can't play it whenever origin needs to update. And when it gets an update error, it forces me to download it from the internet (my wifi is slow most of the time). Who tf thought this was a good idea? If EA cared at all, they would make it so you don't need to use origin to play certain games. Stupid.
I can't see how it can be legal for a person to purchase a program (EA Games) and have it controlled by a entity like Origin. They should be shot & pissed on. Will never purchase anything connected with Origin or Steam again.
So because I got tired of dealing with how slow and tedious the site was I started buying my games on steam but there was an awesome STEAM sale on an EA game so I went ahead and nabbed it.
Now to play this fully installed game I once again have to waste time installing that piece of bloat ware Origins. Which is a total waste and has had four errors causing its own download to restart. Its been 45 minutes.
No more EA games. This is the last of my money
Okay so, it's not compatible with Windows 10 first of all. It takes FOREVER to load and downloading it was- ugh- just such a pain. Everyone I know that has has origin hates it. Worst platform for downloading. I only use it for the sims 4
Absolute trash UI, aftermarket help is non existent.
Why is there no ombudsman for online purchases, every blog/review site i read say the same things, where is the consumer protection here. I intend to dig deeper here and complain to every watchdog possible to ensure no other honest working families are burnt.
Unnecessary middleman. Whatever just happened to downloading a game on your computer via a CD. Because this platform never works. I can never get logged in because it says online log in is unavailable so I can't play my game. Which base game and all the expansion packs I've spent about $450. Absolutely unacceptable for it to be not working. My computer is up to date and has the requirements to play. When I can get logged in the game plays fine. It's ORIGIN that is the problem. Get your sh*t together. Or give me my $450 back.
Had an issue with a game that was installed on my pc but when i tried to launch all it would say is you need to install the game. Tried their support centre and i felt like i could of taken and dump in the middle of the street and asked it for help and it would of done a better job helping me. Ea should just sell their $#*! on steam and give up on origin
Answer: No longer. They have you by the neck if anything goes wrong.
Origin has a rating of 1.4 stars from 197 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Origin most frequently mention customer service, epic games and multiple times. Origin ranks 929th among Games sites.
