Hi Jayram, thanks for your review!
After spending soo much time self-publishing my book, The Truth Is Beyond Belief!, and getting it positioned around the internet, I've come to realize that the final promotional step is the most difficult, by far. So I am very happy to have found and joined Online Book Club, and am happy with my initial first efforts. Fingers crossed that things keep going well!

Turn around period was as advertised. The substance of the review left no doubt the reader went through the entire book. In my situation, this is the first book of four and I plan on returning to OBC as the others are published.
Thank you for your review, Mike!
This novel starts very innocently with the fishing trip off the Tinker's Grove local Water Johson and his everlasting conquest of the Great Cat. The very elusive catfish of the Milwaukee River. Through the mist in Wyalusing State Park just south of Prairie du Chien, Walter encounters the equally mysterious and evil Piasa. The legendary demon of the river who takes men for its hunger. Only this time Walter eludes her.
Back in Chicago at the Derry Air, Conor Archer is getting ready to start a set with the house band. He is the tin whistle player. A little too by a few years, but his playing keeps him a member nonetheless. He plays as a supplement to his income to help pay the bills because he is nursing his sick mother. Finola. The Finola Archer of Tinker's Grove legend.
After she dies, they both have to go back to Tinker's Grove for her burial. That's when the book's tempo really speeds up. The community is skeptical of the two's arrival. They look too much like the century old tale. They are too young to be them however. Conor starts changing when he steps foot on Wisconsin soil though.
The book centers around the Celtic legend the Roan, The people that come from the sea to mate with people on shore. Their offspring are known as the "dark ones". Boys and girls with dark hair and dark eyes along with webbed feet and hands. Conor is one of these. Only his is more pronounced because he is a crossbreeding with one of people beneath the hill.
There are few grammatical errors in the book at the start. The novel author writes in a smoothe and very clear imagery driven way. I could see this as a movie in the future. Lovers of Irish lore would love this saga as it continues. I give it 4 out of 4 stars.
I believe I got a fair report and star rating from my reviewer. I'm confident he read my book from cover to cover and in all I am pleased with the outcome. Onlinebookclub is a great site and offer's authors an invaluable service to showcase their work.

Answer: If you write a book review for onlinebookclub.org, you must follow their guidelines. Some of them are writing a short summary, answering - What did you best like/least like about the book and why? - rating the book, etc. Each review is checked for grammar and if it followed the guidelines by an editor, and then it will be published, and the reviewer is awarded points and paid. Each review must be at least 400 words. Look on the website under guidelines to get all of the requirements for writing reviews.

Answer: To get paid you need to do paid reviews. But since you are new, you'll have to do at least one volunteer/unpaid review. This is so that the moderators can see how well you are able to keep to the guidelines. There are six reviewer levels in total. The higher levels offer review opportunities with higher payouts. Writing good reviews following guidelines and participating within the bookclub will help get you to higher levels. Hope that helps!
