50 percent of my wardrobe are New York & Company purchases. I have been a customer for 6 years or more, they may sometimes seem over priced on certain items but they also have some type of promotion going. And the clothing is all of good quality.
Filed with BBB. Keep dragging feet on refund. They keep extending time for when they will give it to me. Excuse after excuse. Will not get supervisor. Done playing their games. They cancelled an item that I bought on sale with no explanation. After many robot-like email exchanges with their customer service (who seemingly have no power to help) they said sorry but you can just buy it again if you want (of course at regular price.) What I thought would be a simple ask—simply ship me what I ordered, instead it ended up being tedious and unsuccessful. Buyers beware.
Been a month and still no refund! They confirmed a month ago that they have my returned items but I am still waiting for my $263 refund. I have emailed, called and chatted. They keep saying they are sorry for the inconvenience and wait 5-7 business days for an email that my refund has been started. Never get anything and still waiting on my money! I used to love this company but I will never purchase anything again! One unhappy customer.

I bought three pair of pants that were supposed to be "regular" size length, they were too long for the description of the "tall" size length. Over 39.5" long! According to the website, "tall" was supposed to be 39 inches. Then I wanted to return they want to charge you to return their faulty clothes. It's been two whole weeks since they have received the pants back. Still no refund!

They ripped me off too, so now, every morning before I start work, I sign their email (*******@nyandcompany.com) up for a TON of junk email! I also call their "customer service" number *******692, which they don't answer, even during regular business hours), and I blow a loud horn or whistle in the phone, or tell them what a crap company they are.
Join me! Let's drive this company crazy or out of business! The more the merrier.

1993 Wrk for NY&Company formaly know as Lerner. Shopped 20+ today I'm disappointed that its no longer what it was back in its glory. All but 1 piece of clothes was ok the rest of clothes were subpar. I purchase a bulk of Final sales based on past experience but now its not the same. Now I'm stuck with items I cant even exchange or get credit for. There no longer buy again.

I bought a dress in November that didn't arrive until January. I was charged 3 times for the dress. Once it arrived I was very displeased with the quality so I immediately returned it. The company emailed me on Jan 23rd confirming they received my return. It is now March 8th and I have not been reimbursed for the return nor can I reach anyone at customer service to give me an update. Will never be doing business with them again!

No stars if possible. I purchased a dress for which I paid $41.49 I had to returned it because it did not fit right. I received only about $17.00 back, because they made me pay for shipping it back to them. The shipping charge was more than $20.00 when I had pay only $7.00 for shipping when I purchased it. I called them but their customer service is low quality and they kept my money and the dress. Stay away from this place.

I bought a bunch of clothes for my nieces for Christmas from NY&CO, they didn't fit and live out of my state. By the time i got the items back from them it was over 45 days. I spoke to lots of managers but not one would help. I lost over a hundred dollars and had to pay shipping. All they would pay me back is 30% of what i paid and they are still selling the items at regular price. What a rip! I'm cutting up my NY&Co credit card and will never shop there again!

New York and company is great, I have experienced the great value of this company and recommendations to everyone wanting to try something different.
Horrible customer service. I loved their clothes and spent all my budget on clothes there. If haven't heard you CAN NO LONGER cancel your order. I've been eating 4 weeks for a few summer clothes which I still do not have. I waited 17 minutes to speak to someone.
These scammers haven't even shipped my order on 14 days since I placed the order. I tried emailing and got no response. I tried the chat and she basically told me to wait longer and would not cancel or refund my order even through my order was still listed as "unfulfilled" on the website. I waited on hold TWICE for over an hour to talk to a human and I NEVER got one. I finally just went to my pal pal and requested a refund and escalated it for PayPal to get involved- PayPal refunded my money within 5 mins. I will never EVER buy from them again

This is a sorry company to do business with. I had a perfect credit score until I tried many times to speak with a representative that spoke English. They confused everything whe I tried to get a credit on something I did not order. Dropped my credit score 100 points. All because I can't speak Chinese. I closed my account and have to call all 3 credit bureaus to clear it. This is your warning about doing business with them.

You can only return items for refund. Even if you order the wrong size or it didn't fit you don't have the choice to have item replace with same but different size. Which means if it's no longer on sale you have pay higher price or if you used city cash you loose out on that. And the return instructions never includes the reason for return included.

I shopped at NY and Company stores all the time before they closed and went online for black work pants. While I never had an issue with online customer service, the quality of the clothes are awful. The pants are off black and thin, the pockets are horrible and they never have anything in stock. It's a shame because the stores had some good quality clothes. The clothes online are cheap quality and it shows. I don't understand why you closed the stores just to open a $#*! online version of it. Will be looking elsewhere.

Close are crap. It costs 7.99 for shipping but you have to buy 100 worth of crap clothes and if you return they deduct shipping costs. If the clothes were like they were in the store they would be worth it but i unfortunately quality is at a extreme low.

Was on phone for over 1hr 20mins and no one answered - all because shipping address was incorrect. They refused to help in correcting it and told me to go to the carrier after 5 days of waiting for package to ship. I was told by carrier that they NY& Co has the ability to change it so now I have to play a waiting game to see where package ends up!
I just placed an order online. When I went to checkout and pay for my item I realized that the price double in price and I didn't understand why. I called customer service to modify my order and was told that they don't have the capability to modify my order. I then asked that my order be canceled and I was told that they don't have the capability to cancel orders either. My only choice was to wait until my order processes and ships, and I would have to return the unwanted item. Customer Service is non-existent.

The quality of new york and company clothing has changed over the years since the company is online...I have been shopping with NYC for at least 20 + and everytime I order something I'm dissatisfied. The sizes are off, the style has change I'm assuming because of all the celebrities lines they bought in. I use to just order my size but now its either to small or to big, or doesnt look as appeared online...I'm paying off my card and moving on... 187.00 left before paid off
Quality is different. A lot of outdated styles. Prices are great but I miss the real Ny and Co styles

Bought a beautiful dress for work. Put it on, Gorgeous! After 1 hr of wearing this dress, it no longer fit. It became so saggy, loose, no form, baggy, disgusting. I was so embarrassed wearing it that I HAD to write this review. So horrified and disappointed in NY&C for this horrible quality.
I first came to this site because I'm not a teenager anymore and needed something more sophisticated. The material is good but if your going out to get pants go to the store and try them on first. I bought 4 pairs of size 10 and two feel like I need a belt, the other two fit fine. Also they have sales like buy one get one free for pants so sit for that or until it's on clearance. Just sign up for emails to get the best deals. I didn't give them five stars because two pairs are stretched out in the back that I didn't realize until later.
Beware of purchasing from this company. If you like their clothes and are happy with the purchase, then great. What separates a good retailer from a bad on is the customer service and how they handle problems or dissatisfied customers. I've attempted a return for merchandise paid over two months ago. I have since opened a case to dispute the charge with my payment company as well with the BBB. NY&CO has lied to me several weeks ago when they informed me that that issued the refund to my PayPal account when in fact, PayPal had never received any type of refund. I was provided one excuse after another and now I have resolved to opening as many claims as possible to get action. This issue has been going on for over two months...10 weeks actually. I feel the company has ripped off their customers by not issuing refunds or not issuing refunds in a timely fashion. They are crooks that have essentially stolen from me. They received their merchandise back, I have NOT been refunded. The Customer service center continues to mount excuses after excuses as to why I haven't received my refund.

I was just advised, by NY&Co customer service, that The Return policy starts when you place your order, normally that would not be a problem, 45 days to return but with the holidays, and delivery has not been so speedy its a problem!. If you purchase something that was a Christmas gift and it takes 30 plus days to get to your house, the clock is ticking if you have to return. If you do return and it is past the 45 days from when you placed the order, you will not get your money back and I was told by the Rep that NY&CO they will keep your clothes and not sent them back to you, they will return them to their inventory! So basically "New York and Company" are Thieves, they will steal your clothes along with providing poor shipping and customer service care! New York & Company was founded in 1918 as Lerner Shops by Samuel A. Lerner and Harold M. Lane in New York City. Samuel and Harold must be turning over in their graves! What awful reviews about their company are being written all over the Internet! Shamefull!
I have been a fan of this store for several years. Once the brick-and-mortar stores closed, I noticed that the clothing online was of lower quality. Last year, I decided to try them again and saw they were hit or miss, but I loved a few items. In January, I ordered two suits and returned one. I received confirmation that my return was received and waited patiently for the refund. After weeks, I emailed Customer Service and was advised that the refund was processing, and I was offered a discount for a future purchase. Thankfully, I did not fall for that. Now, my request for a status update is being ignored. After researching, I learned that several others have experienced this recently, and now the return policy says all sales are final. They don't answer calls or emails. Do yourself a favor and just pass. You have been warned.
