“Fraudulent.”

Richard D.
1/21/23

My credit rating & online reviews about perfect. Yet MyLife published false data on the web for me, incorrect birth birth year & making it appear that I was perpetually transient. Then began sending me emails to repair the damage that they caused & was picked up by other venues. So I paid for a premium subscription & reputation repair subscription. I've sent them documentation (scans of all records, ID's, diplomate statuses & certifications (in psychiatric social work, substance abuse counseling & pastoral counseling. Sent them scans of perfect BBB reports & much more, including all official academic transcripts. They will not act to change. When one calls, it is not uncommon to have a wait time in excess of 3 hours. When one does get through, agents appear to be outsourced overseas, incapable of or unwilling to listen to your concerns & will disconnect you after a few minutes. I've sent 22 emails to them, with attachments & a means to easily document my assertions. Further, they refuse to cancel my premium & restoration service. I've spent more than 400 hours trying to rectify problems they created. Obviously, this is bizarre & criminal.

“Chinese Communist party scam?”

Bob E.
1/26/24

This site looks like it's targeting people to scam them for money to get public records accessible for free. They also have some sort of reputation score which sounds like the Chinese Communist party's fascist social 'credit' scoring BS. Reject any organization with this kind of un-American behavior.

Did a search for my name - I am a "JR" and it I see that it is listing my father as age 90 something and he passed away 25 years ago - don't think you will get a very accurate report for him

Every time I asked for an extended report a screen came up and asked me for more money when I already had an account. I e-mailed them to fix the problem. Never received anything back and the problem continued. When I cancelled the account, boy did I get e-mails. Not worth the hassle. Don't even bother with this company.

I searched my own name and there were mistakes. It showed at least one address where I never lived at all. There was a huge time gap in their information. I searched my own name so I could gauge their accuracy before I searched for other people. The age was accurate.

Creepy. I saw about 50 more people with my same name, date of birth and people that I knew! I put my pic on there but I think I am going to remove my profile. Plus I heard it is a scam to get you out of your money! They're not getting my pennies! Ha ha

The only reason I give 2 stars (as opposed to 1 star) is that it was relatively easy to turn off automatic renewal-- but I had to call. I was not put on hold and was able to do it easily. The website is somewhat misleading in telling you what you'll get. For $18.95 I thought I would be able to do unlimited background checks for a month-- but no, only one or two, and trying more I was taken to a screen asking me to subscribe to a premium membership. What you get for that $18.95 (after that initial background check or two) is simply people's home addresses and e-mail addresses. Furthermore, the site is full of inaccurate info. You may or may not get a current address, and the "Bio" of the person can at times be ridiculously off. You are better off just doing a simple Google search and not paying for any site that purports to have information, just viewing what is shown for free.

Once signed on, they send you frequent email updates about "new" information on people you are searching for. Then when you go onto the site, there is nothing really of interest. They seem to point you to info on other sites such as Ancestry.com. Well, frankly, i can go to Ancestry.com myself, without paying a subscription to Mylife to get me there. Feel it is not worth it at all...
