I've been using the VA HealthCare system for many years now. I can honestly tell you that the VA Health Care is good. It's not a perfect system, I believe its the people inside the organization and not the Government that make the VA healthcare system good.
While its not the Mayo Clinic, the VA does get the job done, Just be ready to "Hurry up and wait" for specialty services. You have to be patient for non emergent services to get approved. The wait times for appointments have actually been creeping up again over the last two years. Perhaps its the current Government / administrations unfocused efforts on the American Veteran customer base? It maybe that the current economy is slowing the process down for our veteran care?
Bottom line is once you get in to see a provider things can accelerate for you. I recommend you use the VA system if you qualify, I give it 4 stars!
Anyone entitled to military health care in America is missing out if they don't take advantage of this website. Not only can you schedule & check doctor appointments, but also one click of a button orders prescription refills, x-rays can easily be downloaded, and a secure message to any doctor may get you a same-day response. Amazingly awesome.
