The Wisconsin DMV seems to have a link on their license renewal page to this website. In reality there are a lot of sites with names that look like the Wisconsin official site. I got onto one of those sites and was linked to these guys. I thought I was renewing my license, but I should have smelled a rat when it said "Debit Cards Preferred." I was in a hurry, filled in my debit card number etc., Received no receipt, and they took $3.99 and $19.99 for some reason... I still don't know what I was supposed to get.
I "thought" I was renewing my driver's license yesterday by going to this site. I took the hook and gave them my credit card info, only to find out it was to buy a digital auto guide. It is a very misleading site. I have had to ask my bank to send me a new atm card, not knowing what they might do with the info.
I DID contact them and they issued a refund.
This is VERY misleading. I am reporting this to my bank, local government, state government and federal government! It is shameful to scam people also.
I am also contacting my lawyer about ways to fight this. The website must be taken down!
Thought I was paying to renew my drivers license address... after my payment was processed it said that I bought a catalog. Fraudulent company posing as dmv for address changes.

I thought renewing my license online would be super easy. This site is what comes up when you're are trying to renew your license. Seemed simple enough. I put my info like it asked and proceeded to pay. Instantly I get an email thanking me for my roadside guide purchase for $3.99. That is not what I thought I was purchasing when I am on the renew license option. I called the bank to dispute the $3.99 and thought all was good and taken care of. Today I wake up to an additional $19.99 taken out my account. Called my bank and had to cancel my card and wait for a new one because they will continue to make transactions without your authorization. Called them and they gave me the run around until I requested to speak to their supervisor (which they never transferred me to) and threatened to report them to the business bureau for scam. They immediately sent me an email stating they were refuding me the $3.99 and $19.99 within 7-10 business days. Guess we will see. *Do Not Fall For This Page* *It Is A Scam*
The DMV sent me a notice to renew my license on my birthday. I went online to make an appt. Because the typical wait time in CA without an appt. Is 6 hours. After making my appt. (set for almost 60 days from the date I made the appt.), I somehow ended up on a page that encouraged me to pay the fee for the new CA ID driver license on line. I entered my Visa info, but for some reason it seemed like the charge wouldn't go through (and it wasn't because of Visa). After several attempts I left the site. The next day I received a notice from Visa of a $3.99 charge from a company called Mydriverlicense.org - when the card was not present. I thought about contesting it, but decided it wasn't worth the time. The following day I received another notice from Visa, advising of a second charge from Mydriverlicense.org for $19.99! I contacted Visa, who promised to dispute the charges once they cleared, (they were still pending).
I went online to see the website for Mydriverlicense.org, and the first thing that popped up was a window stating that it is a private organization, with no relationship to any government agency! How I'd arrived there when I was making the appt. With the DMV, I have no idea, but there certainly was NO warning about not being connected to any state government agency! I called Mydriverlicense.org. The representative in Idaho was very polite, and offered to refund the $19.99 to my card, but informed me that the $3.99 charge could not be refunded because it was a "service charge." She gave me a confirmation code, and said I should see the refund in 7-10 business days. So my advice is: be sure you know on which website you are entering your credit card information.
