The company demonstrates a mixed reputation, with notable strengths in its physical therapy services, where patients report high-quality care and positive interactions with staff. However, significant concerns arise regarding the emergency room experience, characterized by long wait times and instances of unprofessional behavior from nursing staff, which detracts from the overall patient experience. Customers express frustration with management and operational inefficiencies, particularly in handling critical care situations. While there are commendable advancements in service offerings, the feedback highlights a pressing need for improved communication and patient management to enhance overall satisfaction.

I have been forced to be a patient here for many years because it is the only option for 100 miles. There are good parts of care here, such as their physical therapy department, which I received great care through for many years. Heather and Laura were amazing. There are also terrible parts of Munson such as the Emergency room, where waiting times are extreme, and I even have had nurses make fun of loud enough the whole emergency room could hear. The particular situation was of the nurse's making, because she did not properly secure her patient in bed and left it a transporter bringing me back from X-ray. The Nurse was poking fun at Me sitting in bed, because I was too stupid to lay down. Rather her fault I was in pain, for not getting pain medication, and not making sure I was securely in bed with a rail up, I sat up because I nearly fell out of bed. Another time following Double Mastectomy Surgery the Nurse tried to push me out of the hospital with IV still attached, I can't blame her though, The hospital had left her alone, the only nurse to deal with the entire surgical floor alone. Poor woman was on a dead run from one place to another, and in that situation anyone would make mistakes. That is hospital error and poor management. You can expect that some departments in some areas to be backed up, I have had to drive to outlying cities 20 miles away for some radiology services if I wanted them done quickly and not wait weeks. The upside is Munson does seem to now be partnering with Mary Free Bed and bringing some more advanced services to town rather than having to drive down state to receive care. Good luck if they or one of their doctors make a mistake, no one will bring a legal case against them. I had a clear case, I had repeatedly asked the Dr about implants with Fibromyalgia and Dr insisted it was my only option! It wasn't my only option, and the box of implants has a warning label NOT to put them in people with Fibromyalgia. It cost me years of pain and a lot of damage to the immunity system. For which I have never received anything more than a screw you for the trouble. The Doctor though is not longer there, must be someone caught a clue. My neighbor appendix burst while he sat waiting in emergency room, lost part of his intestines due to infections, he was never able to compensations either. Word of advice, always get a second opinion and from someone in a different hospital, because different hospitals have different policies and different contracts with different device manufacturers. Ask questions and figure out which the is the best option for you. Not every Hospital works for every person.
Answer: I personally love My MId-Michigan Health Care System, which is much quicker, much more friendly and caring. However, it is at least an Hour and half to reach one of their hospitals one way from my house. I really wish Our company would stop Medical monopolies
Answer: Basically people of this region have no choice, Munson health care is the only health care system for 100 miles. But I will and have driven to the other end of the state for surgical services because I refuse to do another planned surgical service through Munson.
Answer: Legally speaking, it is a legitimate company. I can not speak to whether all their policies are ethical or of good moral standing.
