I ordered three angle irons more than two weeks ago. The goods were allegedly dispatched two days after I placed the order. But the items never made it to the collection depot. Metals4u did not provide good tracking information for my order, so it took me a few days to realise my order was not arriving. In the course of little over a week, I sent three emails. None were answered. Then I called them. It took them another day to tell me that their courier, Tuffnells, had somehow "misplaced" a 3 meter metal bar and is unable to find it. They offer no apology or urgency to remedy the situation.

Instead, they promised to produce the order again and ship this to me. Unfortunately, they insist on using Tuffnells again. This time, the product shipped and I received shipping updates from the courier as the package allegedly made its way to the delivery depot. On Saturday 12 December 2020, the status changed to "out for delivery". On Monday 14 December, the status was still "out for delivery". Late in the evening, the status suddenly changed to "Delivered". But I did not receive anything. I have been home for the past three days. I have a Ring doorbel and two CCTV cameras pointed at my front yard. No shipment from Tuffnells arrived. Proof of delivery is not forthcoming.

I strongly advise against ordering from metals4u. They cannot be relied upon to produce goods within a reasonable amount of time since they have decided to have their goods shipped by cowboys. Order from them at your own risk. There are other places that produce similar products.

Ordered an aluminium sheet Tuseday morning, I got the size wrong so phoned to change it, the girl on the phone was very helpfull, it was delivered today as promised

Do not use these people they lied through their teeth to tell you items will turn up.
They make stupid mistakes and then cover up with lies telling you the order will turn up.
When you are paying people to wait on site and these fools tell you don't worry an order will turn up and it did not full stop.
Just avoid they are costly and incompetent.

6th September ordered; still no ETA or delivery very poor customer service.

A WEEK OF TIME HAS PASSED. I DON'T GET MY METAL. TRACKING NUMBER NOT AVAILABLE AT ALL. I DIDN'T RECEIVE ANY INFO. DOES NOT REPLY TO MY EMAIL. I OPENED THE CASE IN PAYPAL. DOES NOT COMMUNICATE FULLY. THIS IS SKAM.

Ordered a load of steel and agreed delivery date, Had to take day off work and wait in, at 5.30pm i called the delivery company to be told that they wouldn't be coming as they had collections to do which were more important,
Metals4u told me a different story... and took over a week to refiund me... and i had to chase them for it!

NOT ACCEPTABLE PRACTICE WON'T USE THEM AGAIN THEY HAVE COST ME A DAYS WAGES, AND CAUSED GREAT INCONVENIENCE...

Phoned to get some technical help with building a workbench, very helpfull staff, and quick delvery, would defo reccomend

Ordered a mixed lot of metal on Thursday afternoon, it turned up fridayy morning at 9, cant get better than that

Ordered some tubeclamps for a project, got them next day, excellent service, the girl on the phone was really helpful, will recommend them.
