I was on MeetMe just randomly admiring guys and one of them added me and I accepted. Then he messgaged me and I talked to him and one thing led to another we met the same day and he seemed alright but I got too involved with him and we ended up having a relationship. Turns out he is 19 got kicked out of high school, can't drive, is jobless, doesn't have a phone, and bipolar and can't control his anger. I broke up with him and he still tries to contact me and he is completely obsessed with me. Now I wish I hadn't created a MeetMe account in the first place.
Meetme offers to pay out their livestreamers for acquiring a certain number of diamond accrual fro their livestream gifters. Magically though users/streamers are bumped off their accounts claiming they violate terms of service when in fact the streamer has committed no violations. Meetme permanently deletes streamers account never paying out for diamond accrual. This is a scam and is illegal. It happens so frequently that peoples accounts are deleted for no reason, that people are aware this happens. This is a scam by the company so they do not have to pay out. They also lure streamers to accrue more diamonds for higher payout only to change the amount for cash out. Bait and switch scam. Lawsuit in the Making.
After being here since the start of myyearbook I met a toxic alaskan named Becca Cook a smoker faced skeleton natural blonde hair works for anchorage dispatch news on facebook who knew how to abuse the system to get it to ip ban based on her making several hundred accounts all with same name and picture.
For nothing more then saying "Nice smile" I got blocked. So I blocked all the new accounts she'd made each time no interaction just a block and I was deleted and IP banned no reason given and considering that was the only stranger id ever talked to other then people I know IRL as friends and she kept viewing on a new profile each time. It all adds up.
Here's the profile breakdown of this app/site:
85% are foreign (west African) dating scams or spam bots.
The other 15% are real people, lying about their location to make money off the "live" cam section or are prostitutes. They should not market this as a dating app, it's simply another cam site. They allow their users to manually change their location, opening up a whole door for scammers and con artists. You don't see nearly as much of this on Tinder or Bumble, but for some reason MeetMe likes having a reputation of being the biggest scam dating app in history. DO NOT TRUST ANYONE ON THE SITE. Don't send phone numbers, email addresses or anything private. 90% of the time its going to be used in another scam. ITS AN AWFUL APP!
I just wanna say, meet me led me to being with the most amazing man in the world! My boyfriend of almost 2 years now We started talking on meet me in October of 2012! We hit it off right away and well now two years later he's been my boyfriend for 1 year and 8 months! If it wasn't for meetme I would have never met my baby He lives in new jersey and I live in Minnesota but in august of 2014 we finally met in person when he flew out to Minnesota for a week^-^ Then in September 2014 I moved to new jersey to live with him for a few months and now in February of 2014 he is moving to Minnesota and we are moving into our own apartment! March 23rd 2015 will be our two year anniversary together and I couldn't be happier! Thank you meetme!
Too many fakes and drama. Bobby Tttt. From New Castle, Indiana uses it for a revenge site. He is a cheater, no good for nothing. Stay away from him. He will use you and lie about you. Too many fake profiles. A sham.
Do not join this app. When you do and you watch live streams. You will realise nobody wants to use this as a dating app. Girls pretending to like guys for gifts which give them money. Yes guys are scamming girls aswell but if you look at the viewing figures. Most guys hardly get any views whereas girls are averaging 200+viewers a stream. Therefore girls are the ones scamming guys. Most of these girls have professional jobs who would be out of these tomorrow if they spoke to you like the way they spoke to you through this app. Why are people talking to people through this app, they wouldn't even dream of saying in 'real life'. Avoid Avoid Avoid and grow up everyone.
I have been a member since the site was called MyYearBook. Back when it wasn't such a smut site. Let me dive a little into the history of MyYearBook.
It had fun things to do. Brighter, easier to customize profiles, games, journals, and other fun things to do because MyYearBook was a place to escape the major companies like Facebook and Myspace
Few weeks ago. A profile appeared on MeetMe with pics of a girl that looked 11,12 maybe but the profile age on meetme was 18... There was a lot of replies to it, saying this is some paedo... using pics of little girl. I did a name search for her on facebook and found the same pics on facebook... I contacted a guy on her friends list that seemed to be her dad... I explained to him that MM was stealing millions of pics from facebook and putting them on MM as fakes, and I sent him his daughters profile ID on MM
The guy I contacted replied saying he was her dad, and his daughter was NINE... he wasn't too impressed with what MM was doing... Few days later... the daughters mum posted on the MM profile saying MM had broken the law and had contacted the police about MMs actions of identity theft
Why is everyone complaining? As a matter of
Facts it may be one of teh best dating sites I have
Used so far. Ask me I prefer Mingle2day and
Match (but it is a little too expensive for me) but
Ihave used this site as well and believe it or not: I
Liked it!
Please run! Do not use this so many people just in it for diamonds! People are so rude and bullies behind a screen this site needs to be removed!
I am from Mumbai and the person who stole my pictures and made fake account with name shreya kowshik is from delhi. I dont undersatnd even after reporting that account how come still that fake account is working, what in a world this stupid app is where there is no security. Please i request you to delete that id from meet me.
For added the three women that I have talk to on this app were fake. All they want is money. Please be careful. Do not let your emotions override your brain.
Ive not been blown away by it or had any dates yet (only ever had a real date from wejustfit.com) but I would say its fine so far, better than a lot of the crap out there. Giving it time.
Firstly, MeetMe used to be My Yearbook which was a social networking site. It changed its name and is now advertising itself as a dating site WITHOUT changing its terms and conditions. Children as young as 13 can register. It is absolutely jammed full of perverts, cyberbullies, scammers and paedophiles. Men and women constantly post naked photos, there is constant $#*!ing and trolling and there are literally millions of fake profiles. The privacy facilities are ineffective and the admin in charge of the site are ridiculous and non responsive. Have reported this site to the IWF and CEOP.
First of all meetme use to be myyearbook. I found the site when they first started the launch. It was great at first people were real and easy going. Over the years this dite has went down hill! There are literally millions of fake profiles with bots etc. You are lucky to find a decent conversation as the desperate seems to have become terrible on both sides for genders to where everyone has a misconceptions of the actual drcent people of here. I found it hard to speak with a human let alone find a decent women to only chat and see how that goes. Lets just say in todays world you are lucky to have social people anymore, so for a site like this to turn to co m plete gatbage after a successful start is sad. I am young 22 yr old male but I'm working on my own career going out isn't much of an option so this is disappointing...
This site uses fake profiles..I live in Romania and women near me had Asian-looking faces...lol...also it says 7 days free trial...and when i accepted, it asked me my credit card :)
Had created 3 accounts because everyone of them was banned not for any reason did nothing on the site but browse found out there using deleted accounts to promote site beware
Be careful because the app is full of fake profiles and please don't meet these people. A girl got pregnant from a one night stand and she can not find him because he ignored her after that.
All the prostitutes and scam sites from craigslist are now on meetme! If you want to catch a disease or waste your money... then thus is the place for you!
Answer: Don't worry, it doesn't necessarily mean that your husband is on this dating site. They often use outdated profiles just to attract more users and to make themselves seem big and popular. I found lots of fake profiles there, that's why I really don't like it. I switched to http://j4Iove.com It's just a tip for those who look for someone real, genuine and interested. Meetme is just a garbage bin comparing to it.
Answer: It should bring up a password reset screen. You don't say which country you are in. If you put your phone number in on the reset screen, it will text you a code number to put in on meetme. If you are in uk you input your phone number as +44 replacing the first zero of your phone number. That should log u in, Then go to your profile and do a password reset. That might ask you to put your phone number in again for them to text you another code. That should either log u in, or send you a link to change your password
