I used to play years ago and made an account for myself as well as my nephew who was a minor. Nowhere on their site do they say I can't sign a minor up under the same email as my account. Years later I try to recover said account for nostalgia and their customer service team treats me like a criminal because of my nephews account, when I explained they didn't like my answer so sent several emails asking me to explain which I already did. Than all of a sudden the "found" several other accounts attached to my email somehow. They either made those up or their website was hacked and my email address was stolen way back. I have now changed my password in case. Don't play on this site, you will regret it.

Amazing site. Good for all age ranges. I have never had a problem and I can see the other reviews are likely from the same person/people. Staff are great and helpful and the site constantly has new events etc and something to do. Its also not pay-to-win although buying AU credits is possible if you WANT to invest in the game, however its not necessary. CaptainPotatoes.

Doesn't matter what time of day you click on some players profiles. Even moderators and other site mascots, there will be suspicious connections trying to get into your computer. When I decide to try and look out for the community and message staff to tell them I'd like to offer reporting these profiles because I know not everyone has safe antivirus software or know how to block these attacks on their information., staff are incredibly rude.
They told me it "wasn't virtually possible" that these things wouldn't be happening on their site and it's not possible. I still see the same profiles attempting suspicious connections with my pc every day I'm on this terrible unsafe site. I've already been given a virus, and lucky I know how to get rid of these... I would NEVER spend money on this site for fear of personal information being compromised and I've alerted my friends of just how unsafe it is. Quickly looking interest and figuring going back to other pets game sites is best.

If you like neopets or gaiaonline it's a no brainer, great doll creation and great pet art. The community has been really nice. Covid slowed things down but it's picking up again. Highly reccomend if you like browser games.

The whole site is like a big fat circlejerk. Mods like "dulce" expect - according to their forum title - other people to "be sweet" while they are just an incredible rude person. They are far from being sweet. They are snobbish, and think they know it all. You can't say anything against fat people or unhealthy food, because then she will feel personally attacked, even though she said she wouldn't mind being fat, and would actually like the jokes on the site about fat people. Then you have mods who never ever seem to work, because they are either never online or don't participate in any forum at all. The userbase is a joke as well. Constantly mentioning how long they have been on the site ("When did you join Marapets.com?" - "I have joined 16 years ago") like it would actually mean anything how old their accounts are. All they ever do is complain about resellers, new players, and names that are taken. Don't start this game, it's a bad joke, a terrible terrible joke.

Extremely rude staff, no idea how they can afford to continue running with the awful way they treat players. I joined at around 10 or 11 years old and have been playing on and off for years, I had forgotten my password at one point, being a kid, and made a new account. Never had ever traded points or shared anything to my old account. I then ended up remembering my old account and went back on in preference to the original account. Left it for a while and would come back occasionally to play. I then ended up randomly getting banned so I emailed to ask why, they were very rude in the email and said it was because I abused the multiple account rule as they don't allow trading to gain more points. What? I never saw ANY rule listed there when I was a child. This was around 12 years ago! I innocently just wanted to have pets and play for nostalgia. I have never abused the point system or even go on the newer account more than twice. Waste of time trying to get any help. The website also has had basically no upgrades in 10 years.

The staff aren't helpful. The people are bias. If you have no money, you'll get bullied. It's impossible to do any of the missions because its only for people who have been playing years and years ago. Lots of stuff are broken. It crashes all the time. All the owner cares about is making more money. Instead of improving the site.

DO NOT PLAY. It is not safe. Harassment from other players is OK in this community. There is no punishment for them. However if you aren't popular your account will be banned for no reason other than that you aren't popular amongst people. The staff are unfair. The items overpriced. The site unstable.

And most of all - they lie and only care about money.

Save your time and don't play Marapets.
It's the worst game I've ever encountered.

Whoever responds to emails is so rude and the game is not worth the time you put into it. I played this for years when I was younger and had created a few other accounts and then was banned at some point. Years later I tried to see if I can have it unbanned and they were not nice about it and refused. I had put so much time and money into this game. Previously I also was never unblocked from the chat rooms even after I reached the age where it's allowed. You guys are consistently rude and entitled! I'll never recommend this game.

Staff on this site are petty as hell, And most players will whine at you for posting something in the wrong forum even if it GOES in the forum you posted in. I have played this since I was a kid and have spent T H O U S A N D S of dollars on this site. I'm honestly done spending money here lmao. Moderators are too strict and its honestly a joke that this is a "Kids game" Not for kids, And not for anyone who doesnt wanna constantly censor themselves. Literally afraid to even USE the adult forums pass I PAID FOR because god forbid I post it in the wrong forum then all hell breaks loose.

In short, I think this site has WAY too much rules and some of them are just- unfair. In my opinion i think they should just remove some rules that are unnecessary.

This site is horrible first i was treated like crap in the past because someone begging from me reported me making it look like I was the one begging so they maramail banned me when I did nothing wrong... i got that sorted out after very snotty rude replies from the OWNER Ian... i decided to shrug it off because I was addicted to the site but cant believe how i got treated he really is a miserable pos... and now yet again ive been treated like crap and threatened to lose my account for simply giving away ten million mp to help others... Frig you mara nazis have fun lost my business due to horrible operation of the website you could not PAY ME to pay again peace - kellykins the quitter after 15 years

I've been playing mara pets for 13 years and I don't think I'll ever stop; the community is very welcoming and helpful. It's a free to play game.

Marapets has a horrible staff/support team. The site's rules often don't make much sense and the team cracks down too hard on things that are really not important. Given that it is a virtual game for KIDS, nobody should be taking such a site so seriously. I was just banned for donating my items to other players... I mean, can someone tell me what the issue is with that? I was giving back to the community because I decided I didn't want so many items. I'm honestly pissed. I've been a member for 8 years and throughout it all I have had so many unpleasant run-ins with the staff/support team. I definitely do not recommend. And, if you have children and are thinking about letting them play, think again. I'm not even a kid, but the fact that I deal with depression and anxiety has made me, an adult, feel really unwanted and down. I can't even imagine how a kid would feel if they had a negative interaction with the support team/staff (and it's inevitable because they are rude and out to get you for the most ridiculous things).

This game is really disappointing. I was banned because my sister and I shared the same IP adress and each had an account. The staff said I had two accounts and that I was breaking the rules. They wouldn't listen to anything we had to say. I paid real money for my account (You have to buy something to get to the next level in the game) and I didn't even get to spend it in the game before I was banned and they won't refund me. They really don't treat their players (costumers) like they should. From what I saw I am not the only one to whom it happened, so I say don't even bother...

I got CHAT BANNED for the DUMBEST reason possible! I just asked for HELP on the MARATALK LIKE EVERYONE ELSE DOES, and then they chat banned me! I was going to do a goal for Ziranek, AND THEN THEY BANNED ME! The goal was: You need to spend 100,000MP or more on a Noticeboard Advert. SO i went to do that, but THEN IT SAID I WAS BANNED FOR 60 MINUTES(1 hour). I REALLY WILL NOT BE going on this site game ANYMORE. Even NEOPETS is better than this!
