This set up is all about making money. You register - FOR FREE! But that means nothing. They will send you emails saying people have viewed your profile, you gett all excited; could this be the beginning of my big break? But if you actually want to see who, guess what? Correct! You have to upgrade to premium membership and pay them.
They are just another parasite out there preying on the hopes and dreams of people who want to get into the nasty business that is showbusiness. I have personally given up trying as I don't like what I have seen.

I am yet to truly test this site but am looking forward to the opportunities provided. If what i think is true i am only going to be able to apply for jobs if i join and pay for membership which is deceiving. Lets hope it pays off.!

Mandy requires you pay for their service to be able to apply to jobs on their site, or lets you leave reviews in exchange for time. I haven't used the service yet because it hides the fact that it cost money until the very end of the sign up process. I am just trying to see if their service is something worth my time.

Mandy.com is great if you are looking for job opportunities in the film industry. You can search for post-production jobs like film composer, sound designer, re-recording mixer, etc. It has paid and unpaid jobs, and you can set up an account quickly. You can create your own profile which makes it easy for others to see your skills. As a working film composer and sound designer, I highly recommend Mandy.com!

I set up my Mandy account many years ago and forgot about it, until a director reached out to me there for a job in my city. Mandy is a known platform so it's more likely to get you work since directors and dept heads look there. Would recommend keeping a profile updated there, even if you aren't actively looking for work - you never know who might find you on the site!

I have used Mandy as both an actor and as crew. I sourced all the cast and crew that I needed for various short films. It was easy and simple through Mandy, it's direct messaging tool made it very easy to communicate. All the actors sent me their audition tapes directly through Mandy, the process was a lot of fun! I am excited to see my next roles come through!

I have only recently come across Mandy but after reviewing all aspects of the site I've found it to be very useful for the average Voice Talent freelancer. The site is easy to use and very well presented. Mandy offers a huge number of Talent that use high grade - professional equipment for recording client scripts of various natures. This is an excellent site for finding just the right fit for your project regardless of it's nature. I highly reccomend Mandy as a solution to acquiring Voice Over jobs and maintaining new contacts.

No matter what you're looking for, whether it's creating or collaborating, film, TV or theatre, cast or crew, Mandy has a consistent flow of interesting and diverse projects for every level of experience.

The only criticisms I have is that 1. The user experience isn't the best, as a website asthetically it looks like something caught between the early 2000 and now and usability could definitely be improved.
2. The free account on Mandy is a little too limiting, I understand that if you start making money on Mandy it makes sense to pay a reasonable amount for the continued privalige but right now you have to pay first before there's a reasonable chance for you to make money.

I just started using Mandy and so far I am intrigued. It's much more tailored than other job searching services to help freelancers find work, especially when just breaking into the business. However, the biggest downside is that it's free to look, however, if you want to apply for a job, you have to pay a subscription fee. It really should be free to apply for a job. Or at least offer a way to email those who created the posting.

A great site for edit and camera jobs in film and video. Some good rates offered, some free student projects on there too. Always lots of new posts coming up - useful for gaging day rates as well - although with editing many rates are at the lower end of the market.

I think its a great site if you can afford it. This is an investment like anything in life. I personally can't at this time which I think is the main issue, as well as many of the posts require that you have a super high end camera such as a cinema camera and your own audio gear and lights. If we can barely afford the membership, how the heck would we afford the gear?
Had the gear been provided in most of this and the client take care of the cost as well as transportation and a per diem, then perhaps it might be more appealing.
I would love to rejoin if I had the equipment, or even if the above was provided that all I had to do is show up, do the work, get paid, go home. Then I could definitely see investing more into this.

Mandy Network is the most user friendly networking platform I have experienced and recommend it to everyone and anyone, at whatever stage in their career. I have received more audition requests and work through this platform than through anywhere else.

After creating my profile on several jobs sites and just receiving a lot of spam on my mailbox, i found Mandy and OMG! It is truly a significant change for people like me in the film industry. A lot of opportunities to find freelance jobs, easy and organized platform.
