ZERO stars for this company. Their SSD for my 2017 MacBook Pro not only failed but also bricked my computer. The "customer service" person was rude, and argumentative, and blamed my computer for breaking their part and itself.
Then, they would not pay the shipping to return their faulty product to them.
I recommend NEVER using their products. AVOID at all costs. (because it will be you paying the cost!)
Really awful experience. False advertising on a ‘new' product, that was not new and that never worked. I paid for the shipping to me, shipping back and spent countless hours of my time and friends to help plus Apple that couldn't help. Then being told after the 14 day return policy. Refund a minimal amount. Left with $250+ in personal charges with a product that never worked. Shameful
I bought a thunderbolt hub on their website. During the check out process I selected Next Day Air. The website indicated it would arrive on Saturday but that was incorrect. When the thunderbolt hub arrived I had problems within a week. I notice my Mac would have a warning to not unplug drives without ejecting. But I would check and the drives were still connected via the hub. I think it did this when I was away from the KB and the warning was just still on my screen. I tried to contact their support but due to time of day (my work schedule, 12 hour shifts and being on West Coast) I could only ever email them. I never received a reply. The problem would happen intermittently and then it stopped being a problem. I tried 2 emails. Then suddenly the hub stopped working. The power supply just will chirp. I tried to email again to support, was closed, tried customer service, took 2 requests for a RMA before anyone followed through. I would like either paid return or a refund at this point. Each rep I spoke to made me angrier. At first I was ready to pay to return, the second rep made me so I angry I wanted a refund, the supervisor he passed me onto made me angry enough to write a negative review.
I ordered a product over a month ago, which showed 7 day delivery times. I never got it. I checked back and if I ordered again, I would get it in 7 days. I contemplated ordering it again and cancelling the previous order. I didn't, my order is going to be another 49 days. Don't deal with these guys, pure scam artists.
Some of the products are excellent but have a mandatory "SoftRAID" install. Ive been told that the Accelsior PCIe RAID can be turned to Apple RAID but when walked through the process with tech support it bricked the product which is now in on RMA. I find some of the choices of the business model to be incomprehensibly stupid (RAID 5 for the larger multi-bay drives as default, SoftRAID as default), tons of uneccessary packaging etc but several of the products are actually a great solution (4M2 enclosure, PCIe NVME RAID, TB3 and Pro Dock). I want to like this company but just cant.
OWC makes superbly engineered products, and the technical support is out of this world awesome. My experience with the products and the company has been the best possible for a decade. More than that, OWC/Macsales Support is the single best technical support organization IO have ever dealt with. Its people have uniformly been truthful, a pleasure to deal with, superbly knowledgeable about their own products, and better informed about technologies of other companies than those company's own support.
Purchased a thunderbolt RAID0 enclosure last year that misleadingly suggests a three-year warranty on their website. But somehow because I bought it from B&H, (one of the premier photo/electronics retailers in the country), I only get a one-year warranty. The product was defective from the day it was delivered, but the problem went undetected until I started trying to handle large video files. What should be 600-900MB/sec write speed against my SSD array is more like 25-30MB/Sec. Not the drives, all other variables eliminated. Manufacturer admits their website warranty information is misleading, and offers me a kick-in-the-teeth 10% discount on a brand new one. Nice!
Beware!
The customer service here is horrid. I reached out to them inquiring if they would be able to assist in upgrading my Imac. I received a response via email stating: "Yes OWC offers turnkey upgrade services for your iMac". I called *******685 and left a voicemail with the option that someone would call you back within an hour. No one called, so I followed up with them a few days later, to then be told that they don't offer this service at all. I reached out to the individual I originally spoke to via email and no response at all. This place has trash customer service. If you are DIY and need no interaction with them, I am sure they are a viable option.
I purchased a hard drive from this business. The package was late and the hard drive was bad. The process to return the hard drive was impossible and in essence, they robbed me of $200. Don't ever shop there if you value your money.

Stay AWAY from OWC. They are complete and total fraudsters.
Whatever you do, do not buy an Aura Pro X2 to upgrade your macbook harddrive. It will cause your computer to crash and freeze at random and give you a bunch of kernel panic errors.
Customer service was extremely slow in helping me and none of their solutions worked. They refuse to give me a refund for their faulty product (that now I can see there are negative reviews for all over the internet for people having similar problems) because it was outside the scope of their return window.
They are well aware this hard drive doesn't work as a macbook upgrade and they still bill it as such and sell it to unknowing customers. Absolutely awful. Don't fall for their false advertising like I did.
I had previously purchased a MagSafe charger for my 2012 Macbook which failed. They replaced it under warranty March 2017 in which that one also failed. I found out they sell counterfeit chargers and these ones exhibited all the signs of this. I filed a complaint against this company with the BBB and they did not rule in my favor. I will never use this company again! They are a scam! I had emailed them several times regarding this and the company denied all of this and said they were "genuine chargers". Other people who filed with the BBB had same complaints as mine!
Boy, did I get screwed. I bought the OWC Express USB 2.0 2.5" Enclosure + 250GB Mercury Electra 3G SSD. It arrived so late. I spent $90 CDN, and I only got back $75, minus the $20 I had to pay to ship the drive back to them. I lost almost half of what I paid for it. Worst buying experience I have ever had. I will never use them again, and I strongly urge you to stay away from this company.
Ordered $550 of parts for my Mac, they shipped it out but it never arrived. After 1 month I emailed OWC support and after many emails, they replied that I had to wait 2 months before I can file a claim. I waited two more months and asked for a refund, they ignored by emails for weeks, finally I opened a complain with the BBB and they replied that were going to give me a refund in two week. Took over 4 1/2 months to get my refund for a package they lost
Purchased an iPhone 13 Pro Max. It was described as being in "Very Good Condition" - Not exactly sure what "Very Good Condition" means in their terms but the front screen is filled with deep scratches. My 2-year-old phones look much better compared with this abused phone that they have sent. When I opened the package I first noticed the scratches. Now, I can't even turn it on so I basically bought a paperweight for almost $900. I called their customer service reps to see if I could return the phone. After about an hour of time wasted going back and forth from their rep to their supervisor(who by the way never apparently couldn't talk to me), they said that they would accept a return while I am supposed to pay for shipping PLUS a re-stocking fee. While years ago, I had a fairly good experience with them, it seems like their management has really changed :( I would NEVER buy another product from this company EVER again and I would DEFINITELY NOT recommend this company to anyone.
I've been doing business with OWC for well over a decade, both as an individual and through a service department.
They back every sale, honor every transaction, and have never failed to deliver. When there are issues, they stand by the product. And issues are rare, albeit unavoidable. It's how a company handles unforeseen issues that counts, and they handle them expertly.
It is simple, applied logic to determine that, since they've been in business since the '80s or '90s and having been doing business with individuals and companies for that long, they wouldn't still be in business if they weren't providing good service.
I have always recommended OWC to friends and family for the past 10+ years and have always experienced quality and great products. This past year I am sorry to say that it hasn't been the same. Received refurbished macs that have start up issues upon opening for first time, and then another mac with ports that are so worn that the connections fall out with the slightest pull, which is pretty much useless if you rely on your computer for professional use and can't afford drives or hardware connected to it to easily come out. On top of those issues, they believe that it is fair for the customer to pay for the shipping back to them as well as a restocking fee for an items that have issues from the start. Lastly, I received an item not too long ago that looked like it has been used already and customer service again wants us to pay for the shipping back for a replacement item that has cosmetic markings on it. It just appears like quality is not a priority anymore with this company from my experiences and it is unfortunate because they were my number one company for mac products.
If you need to buy something go to another source or buy directy from apple. The savings Other World Computing or macsales.com offer comes with a price. I bought a beats headphone, It turned out to be used, It broke in less a few days, They didnt return my money, and returned the broken item back to me. These aew DISHONEST PEOPLE. My advise pay the store price and buy something good.
I purchased 2 MagSafe power adapters from OWC. They both broke within 1 month of the purchase. Initially, OWC honored their warranty since the magnets broke off inside of my computer within the first 30 days of purchase. I had hoped that both replacements would be of a better quality only to be disappointed again when BOTH replacement power adapters broke again within 10 months of use.
Same thing happened with the magnets breaking inside of my computer. So I called customer service to seek a replacement again only to find out that their "warranty" is only good for 12 months from the date of the ORIGINAL purchase!?! What good does that do on a replacement if you can't even offer the same warranty on the replacement.
Customer service provided ZERO care about their product failing for the second time and basically told me too bad, that is how their warranty works.
Honestly, I feel completely ripped off because now I have 2 broken power adapters and for the price I paid for these piece of crap refurbished ones, I could have just purchased new ones from Best Buy.
I will NEVER purchase anything from a company that cannot even stand behind their products. DO NOT waste your time or money on OWC.
I've been buying mac goods there for years. They stand by everything they sell. When I once returned something they paid for the shipping both ways and called to make sure I was satisfied.

Hello Jay K.,
We are very sorry for the experience that you have had. We have been able to confirm that the MagSafe Adapters that we sell are 100% Apple OEM chargers and they are not counterfeit. We have been able to test and confirm these units to be original and not a 3rd party knock off. Here are some facts that we have been able to find ensuring that MagSafes will be a little different and act a little different depending on what manufacturer was used. Please also feel free to visit Apple's website showing MagSafe adapter reviews. They do break, show signs of failure and do wear out even if they are 100% confirmed Apple OEM as the ones we sell.
Apple uses 3 different manufacturers for MagSafe production: Delta, LiteOn and Samsung. Depending on the age, the power light on the adapter turns on at different varying rates. All 3 manufacturers are just a little different in operation and will not be the same.
Based on the fact that there are multiple manufacturers, weights vary. It’s extremely evident when you have a fake adapter vs. a genuine one.
Here is also an excellent comparison of fake and genuine adapters:

We are very sorry for the failures that you have seen with the MagSafe adapter but we 100% guarantee that the units we sell are Apple OEM.
