The original generation of the Lytro camera was only okay. It was small and more of a novelty. I just got to use a friend's next gen lytro and I found it to be remarkable and truly the next step in photography. Not having to worry about a focal point or changing your mind later is amazing. Has to be experienced to really understand it all. I think that is there main problem, you have to use it to love it.
