Ever since being named as a Patient Representative in a medical study I have been getting ten to twenty emails a day from these people requesting articles/reviews/opinions on anything from cancer research to robotics, all addressed to spurious titles such as 'Dr. Researcher'.
They appear to only exist to extract money from the unwary.
I have been approached by Lupine staff twice, asking me to write an article for their "Current Trends in Computer Sciences and Applications". The first time, I complied, as they were requesting a short text for their first-ever magazine; the second time, I sent a longer text ("review article"). Both times I insisted I would happily write for them, but would not be paying them to publish me -- and yes, after some insistence, I was "waived" 100% of the processing fee.
So far, so good.
However, for my second article, it was:
- Not peer reviewed, but published just as I sent it. That's not acceptable practice for an academic publication!
- In order to fit their style, my manuscript was mangled; paragraphs were cut and joined with no regards for readability; mathematical expressions were rendered incomprehensible; related figures were separated.
I have contacted them repeatedly, pointing out the issues I found (and that leave my work in bad light!), but have been downright ignored.
I have received a regular stream of emails from this organisation, asking me in flattering but illiterate terms to write articles in journals which have no connection to my actual field of study. I notice that the latest one comes on behalf of something called the 'Journal of Anthropological and Archaeological Sciences'. This sounds remarkably similar to the 'Journal of Archaeological and Anthropological Sciences', a perfectly legitimate publication from the Springer stable. In commercial terms, this would be known as 'passing off'. I note with interest that the glowing five star reviews on this website have the same breathless style of what they used to call 'Babu English' as the emails that I have received, and clearly come from the publishers themselves.
This is an example of predatory publishing: little or no concern for quality, anything is published, no readership of the journals and no impact. For any serious academic, publishing here and not publishing at all are the same.
This is a predatory academic publisher that is known to publish nonsense papers for a 'small' fee of $1000
This is a scam.
Nothing more needs to be said, but I need to write 100 characters to tell you this.

Answer: After having seen a negative review on Lupine Publishers, I really astonished that how can people say these negative comments without self-experience. And I as an honorable editor in CIACR journal, it publishes the articles which are very well written, high quality, practical and advisable. As I have a frequent glance at the journal page, I think that the articles which are published in this journal are very useful to many students who need extra push. Even I have learned many things from these articles which are published in CIACR journal like latest trends and achievements made in the field of agriculture and technological inventions in the field of agronomy. Even if we ask any kind of information about the process of publication and peer review process, they will give prompt response to us. As they follow double blind peer review process, the review comments that are given by the editors will be strictly followed after which the authors will be requested to modify their manuscript according to the editor's suggestions. Even though it is an open access journal they will waive off publication charges for eminent author's, researchers, scholars and even for students who are willing to spread their research work as their main motive is to spread the knowledge all over the world for free of cost. I strongly believe that they give more importance to quality of articles and author's. Thank you Kimberlly William! It's our pleasure to get associated with you...
