SCAM ALERT
July 12, 2025

My trading account was frozen unexpectedly after I requested a withdrawal, and I thought I might lose my investment. Scam

Lumin is a total scam. Tiny bottles. THEY DO NOT WORK, They keep charging your card with deceptive ad that the items are free and you only have to pay the shipping. Subject to class action lawsuit. A total deception of consumer's faith.

Was recommended Lumin by my brother, thought I'd cop the free trial, ended up making my acne worse! It caused breakouts and as mentioned made it worse than it was before, and before all I was using was water for my "skincare"…

This product has steadily declined in quality over time. It's gotten to the point that I opened my last refill and the charcoal face rub is half liquid black water with what looks like chunks of hard putty sitting at the bottom. Terrible product now. Would not recommend anymore.

DO NOT FALL FOR IT

Do not order the free trial do not fall for it. You will spend countless amounts of time trying to talk to someone via a chat. One month ago I fell for the Instagram trap they advertised for, next thing I know I get an email saying I am being charged 79.00 and thanks for the order- I tried to find a cancelation after I received the free trial- they make it impossible to figure it out.

This whole experience has been horrible and I don't recommend anyone else fall for this non sense, this should not be that hard to figure out, but they make it really hard and with zero ability to talk on the phone- NOW I GET TO FIGHT FOR A FULL REFUND even though they did not provide tracking... AVOID-AVOID-AVOID

Refund Policy a joke!

If you want that free trial, don't do it! They sign you up for a subscription without your knowledge then don't tell you when it comes out. My bank alerted me to a big purchase on my card and when I looked it was these people. I immediately canceled and contacted customer service about a refund. All they gave me were articles. No actual help. So I disputed it with my paypal. Thank goodness for them. Currently tho they are telling me I have to wait for the package to be sent then I have to send it back. ON MY DIME! The package has yet to be sent and I told them I dont want it, just my money, but they say there is nothing they can do. All they have to do is not send the package and give me my money. Hopefully you can dispute this furthar with paypal and get all your money. Their business is shady. Dont buy anything from them!

Horrible company. Dont get stuck with their products. Didnt need account to have a subscription start but do to cancel. No customer service phone and they say 24/7 support it is always offline and it is handled by chatbot...its a waste of time and WAY OVERPRICED

SCAM

SCAM. The free trial comes with automatic subscriptions. The products gives me acnes and when I tried to cancel the automatic subscriptions they still send me the products and charged me the full amount. When I disputed it they said I cancelled too late. Their site says 30-day guarantee but it's impossible to click "refund" on their website as the page is not working.

They use shady subscription practices to get automatic orders after you ask for samples. They send no reminders, and no warnings before opening a order, and then don't allow you to cancel it even if you reach out 10m after the automatic order was registered. They blame "their system". Well, it's your system, Lumin. So, in short you chose a system as a con tool to steal money from people. The product is just ok, and a month of use won't make you skin better than any well known brand. The package is hard plastic and very hard to recicle, which is bizarre and certainly very expensive.

Scam

By shopping at other online stores or physical stores, you will be able to get a better quality and cheaper price. After signing up for their free trial, I ended up paying for a subscription a couple weeks later. With their free trial, they try to scam people into subscribing and paying soon after they don't realize they've subscribed. Just wanted to try the product and see the difference, but before I could see the result I was already charged? As I canceled and saw the return options, I noticed that even if you don't open the package, you are charged shipping and are refunded half the amount. Their return policy alone shows that their whole business is a scam. Your satisfaction was not their concern, they just wanted you to buy their product. Be prepared to pay for marketing rather than quality or service if you purchase their product.

Good but with faults

Product is good. Made in South Korea. Good quality and reasonable price. However, company needs work - shipping is slow and customer service is no good. These products are also packaged in #6 plastic (Polystyrene) and this is NOT recyclable. All of it will go into landfill and last for the next few generations. Please please update your packaging so it is biodegradable and not adding to the already massive plastic problem.

Scam Beware!

Terrible company

Post my free trial, I was unable to cancel my subscription. Without any prior acknowledgment, I got a text that my order is ready to ship and $84.31 CAD was deducted from my credit card. I contacted Lumin support and requested them to cancel the order since it has not been shipped and issue the refund. They mentioned that they cannot cancel the order and I need to re-ship the items to get the refund. I stay in Toronto and I would have to bear the expense of shipping their products to California. This is a really bad customer experience as I am getting charged despite canceling my order before it has been shipped.

Time and time again, Lumin has failed to assist me in the orders they have messed up. The customer service team will take action on your behalf without consulting you assuming the action they took is the one you desire. My package was lost in shipment and after the first round of unsatisfactory response, suggesting the shipping label may be mis-scanned after 10 days of transit, my second attempt was responded with them saying that DHL lost the package and they reordered my order and moved it up the que and kept shipping the same standard shipping. I will now have waited 25 days just so I can receive a mere cream.
