LPT Medical falsely states they have a working relationship with Medicare and Blue Cross Blue Shield. That is NOT true. If you purchase a portable oxygen machine from LPT Medical your costs will NOT be reimbursed, because this company does not have a relationship with Medicare or Federal Blue Cross, Blue Shield...no matter what they claim.
I spent several thousand dollars on an oxygen concentrator. It is a POS. I'm having to send it back for repair, which will cost me 90$. A replacement "loaner" concentrator will be 400$, so I will be homebound over the holidays. The 6 hour battery lasts maybe 3 hours. The 4 hour battery lasts maybe an hour and a half. Every SINGLE word the salesman said to me was a lie. BEWARE!
Gia was great to work with... new the equipment... 2 day service... answered my questions (even the dumb ones)in a knowledgeable friendly way THANK YOU
LPT Medical adviser Chase helped us select a portable oxygen concentrator. After discussing our needs, Chase suggested the Zen-O Lite machine, which was less expensive than the Inogen we were considering, and had more features. Chase was beyond helpful and knowledgeable! The Zen-O Lite is perfect for us! What a wonderful experience working with LPT Medical, and what a wonderful product!
Time will tell if the package is what was quoted.
Generally I am satisfied. There is a bit of a learning curve on a new machine. I am getting better on understanding my needs and the machines capability to meet those needs.
I purchased a Zen-O-Lite POC through LPT Medical a year ago. In early-November it messaged me to Check Vents. I called for service. One of the features that led me to GCE was that the patient (me) could replace the sieves. I was informed that the sieves were backordered. It was recommended that I send it in for factory service. I paid LPT in advance ($90) on November 12th for round trip shipping. They sent me the shipping label. I have now been without my POC for over a month (It's December 15th) and still no POC. I have been back on Oxygen tanks for almost six weeks waiting for my Zen-O-Lite to be fixed and returned with sill no projected date of delivery. Avoid Zen-O-Lite, GCE and LPT!
My mom bought a condenser about six months ago, they told us she would have to pay 90 to have it shipped back (its under warranty) and if she needed a loaner that would be 300. When I called and complained they told me that "if my parents had asked" they would have told them shipping and loaners weren't covered. Never mind that everywhere else if something is under warranty they don't charge shipping. The best they would offer me is 150 instead of 300 for the loaner. Acted like they were doing me a favor. Scam artists that prey on the elderly and invalids- my mom needs this in order to leave her house, as she has stage 4 lung cancer. Better Business Bureau has PAGES of complaints, very similar to ours (https://www.bbb.org/us/co/denver/profile/oxygen/lpt-medical-inc-*******8714/complaints)
I was contacted by LPT to 'trade in' an older portable o2 concentrator my Father had purchased. I was told I could get $750 back (not a credit- but a check) if I sent the older unit for a new on. I sent two batteries- the smaller and a lager 3 hour battery. This seemed like a good deal. After I rec'd the newer unit (with only one battery)and had sent the older one in, I was notified I would only be getting $500 back. I gave the name of the original contact employee at LPT who told me on the phone the $750 but there was no follow up..."it's policy to only offer $600" and the older unit needs new parts. The condition of the unit was NEVER discussed with the original contact. I had to contact them twice for the $500 and when it did come it was made out to the wrong person... good product but HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE.
There is so much wrong with this company. Just need to go somewhere else to do business. There refund policy will cost you hundreds.
I have called 3 times today and each time they took my phone number and no one called back. I made sure to asked if they were open and whom ever answered the phone said yes.
Placed an order for one item, the day they were to ship, they canceled my order and said they "didn't have enough supplies to fulfill my order"
What a waste of time
The people are very knowledgeable and personable. I had made a decision but was advised to take a different one based on my husbands needs. It made so much sense when you have someone who knows what you are dealing with. I really appreciated Wes and the time he gave me.
I started having problems with my G3 portable unit in late January. I contacted LPT and although their technician made no attempt to troubleshoot problem over the phone, or even ask what the display read, she said it was " the column ' and would cost 300 $ to repair. Although the unit was under warranty for nearly another year, she said that " columns: were excluded. We sent the unit overnight UPS on Feb1. They said they would call and tell me what was wrong with it and how much to repair. I called a week after it was received and they said it had not even been looked at. Eventually they sent a unit to the wrong state TWICE. They sent units that did not work TWICE. My many calls and emails usually were not returned. I had to call repeatedly to get any response and then they would tell me there was nothing wrong with the it. This is a necessary life saving piece of equipment that I was without for nearly 3 months due to the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I finally gave up and sent the still malfunctioning unit directly to Inogen. I am spending 450$ to get a refurbished unit from them because LPT would not repair it. TERRIBLE SERVICE
I purchased an Oxygen Concentrator from LPT Medical and was told I had 90 days to return it from Mikey their salesman. Within the first 30 days or receiving the machine I called and spoke to Mikey telling him the machine was so loud we couldn't be in the same room with it. Mikey then told me to run it for a while and it might calm down. It Did Not! I called back and told him I would like to exchange it for a quieter one. He suggested I put it in another room until he could get back to me. Well he never returned the call. I called again and said I just wanted to return it for a refund. Again he never got back with me. I called today and was told it only had a 30 day warranty and could not be returned. I explained I was told I had a 90 warranty and basically was told to bad it was out of warranty I could not return it.
The integrity of this company is not good. I don't recommend purchasing ANYTHING from this company.
They put you on hold when you call with a complaint so long they hope you hang up. When they do come back to the the phone the person you wanted to talk with is never available. And no one else wants to hear your complaint. DON'T BUY ANYTHING HERE! BUYER BEWARE!
I have to have a portable concentrator as I still am active and do outside work. The lines connected to a regular concentrator won't work for me outside. Too much resistance in the length.
I have an concentrator issued by Medicare and it is an in the house machine!
I wish to continue an active life as I am still able with an occasional recharge and I monitor my oxy count often! I use as necessary!
You folks have been very informational and receptive to a new customer. Your staff is quite capable about info I requested.
Jack Newell
I have been quoted for a new machine (G5) at a great discount! Possible Item# ******* as shown on the price list.
My mother in law bought a Zenolite Oxygen Concentrator from this company on June 7th of this year. Included in the purchase price of $3495.00 was a "lifetime warrantee." The unit stopped working last week, while she was out of town. When she called to get it fixed, the man told her he would sell her another unit for a mere $1000.00 with a "lifetime warrantee." She told him she didn't want to buy a new unit, she wanted this one fixed at which point he transferred her to someone else, who first told her to remove the battery for an hour and a half, then put it back in. She did. It didn't work, so she called them back to tell the man it didn't work, at which point he told her he would sell her a new unit for $1000.00.
When she again said she wanted the one she had already purchased, fixed, because it was under a "lifetime warrantee, he transferred her to a woman to schedule a pick up of her unit.
At that point she was informed that she would have to pay $90.00 for shipping to have the unit picked up. Then she asked for a loaner unit she could use, until hers was fixed.
The woman told her she could "purchase a loaner" unit for a mere $390.00.
This is an outrage to treat elderly people this way.
The unit lasted only less than 6 months. She paid a lot of money for it. And now, because their crappy equipment broke down and she wants to have it fixed, she must somehow come up with almost $500.00, for a "lifetime warranted machine?"
I called the company myself to find out why this poor woman, should have to pay for a "loaner," when it is their machine that broke down!
The response I got from a woman named, Malory, was the broken record technique of dealing with upset customers. She jus kept saying, " if she wants a loaner unit she has to purchase one."
Mom was in tears. She is on a fixed income and can not afford all that money.
So my point is, this company sells crappy equipment, warrantees it for a lifetime and then rips off the elderly when their crappy, "warranted", equipment breaks down.
Does this sound like a company you want to do business with? Buyer beware!
Albert has been terrific to work with. THank You!
The battery does NOT hold as long of a charge as we thought it would. So that's been a little disappointing. The bigger battery pack put additional weight in the unit and the lightness of it is why it was ordered so that defeats the purpose.
Pedro of Miami was a great help at LPT medical! He guided me through the process of getting my units serviced and repaired. Thanks Pedro!
I fell victim to both the buy back program and price match guarantee. I recommend to get any price quotes in writing.
So far it is really good. Thanks.
Update:
My concentrator arrived in good order and it is in working order today. The service of your company has been excellent so far. Since I bought my portable concentrator from you, I suppose we will have an ongoing relationship. The after purchase service is important to me and many companies fail to continue their good service after they have received payment. I have no reason to believe that this will be the case with LPT.
Answer: I have. Warranty means you pay a large amount of money to mail the equipment to the manufacturer and wait up to 8 weeks.
LPT Medical has a rating of 4.5 stars from 184 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. LPT Medical ranks 13th among CPAP sites.
