Rakuten Advertising

They are scammers, most of the time commissions want even show on your dashboard and if they do they will never pay you.
I am really wondering how is possible this company to still exist and they are not in prison. And why so many merchants still use them.

The worst advertising company ever that supports war with russia and steals money! I'm from Ukraine and used to work with many advertising companies (Awin, Rakuten, Link Ninja etc.) before russia started war. And Rakuten is the only company that terminated my account without even letting me know beforehand! So, my money are actually blocked even though Ukrainian banking system has no problems and those money could be send to me. But Rakuten does not see any difference between Ukraine, russia and belorus. All that they can respond to me is that they are very sorry.

I have applied to this affiliate program three times due to companies I wanted to promote using them for their affiliate program. All three times they sent an email saying my account had been terminated according to clause blah blah blah and they don't owe me any explanation. The second time, which was 4 days ago, I responded asking why it was terminated, and they said it was an issue with my website address, so I corrected that, and my account was reinstated, only to be terminated again four days later. When I responded to this termination email, they said they have the right to terminate for no stated reason and my account will NOT be reinstated. Seriously, I have never dealt with a company that treats people this way. Poorest customer service and business model of all time. Stay away, and if you are a business looking to partner with one of these sorts of companies, and like your affiliates, don't use this one. Worst ever. Good riddens.

We signed up for the GameStop affiliate program that is run by Rakuten Advertising. Their system is VERY BUGGY. We have to reset our passwords every time. The reporting doesn't work most of the time. When it does, it doesn't show any of the sales we tested through the program. Hoever, the very worst part of Rakuten Advertising is their horrible support. Over a week of cut and paste emails sent have not addressed or resolved the bugs in their system. When affiliate programs are notorious for not paying, we are pretty sure there there will be no support to get us paid when that fails too. Basically, the Rakuten Advertising program is the old dead LinkShare system that they bought and have no idea how to manage. AVOID Rakuten Advertising at all costs, you have been warned.

Beware I was approved and was working on this Affiliate platform and in my sleep at 5am they terminated my account stating I violated something when I have not even been able to use it yet at all. I was planning to log in today and learn it, but in my sleep apparently did something that I wasn't supposed to and woke up to a nasty termination email. I would highly recommend to stay away as this is a scam company obviously!

Scammy website terminates affiliates for no specific reason and keeps commissions that were earned. Will terminate your account and keep your earnings while hiding behind the vague Section 20 of their Terms and Conditions which states:

"You or Rakuten Marketing may, at any time, with or without cause, terminate this Agreement and your participation in the Network or use of any other Rakuten Marketing Offering."

Asking the compliance team what the specific issue was only gets passive-aggressive and unhelpful responses.

This is probable the worst affiliate company out there.

Do not waste your time in this affiliate company.

Basically because they do not pay all your commissions.

1. Keep Affiliates Commissions and Don't Pay Them

I was told that I would receive my commission in my bank but never received it.

Later they blame my bank for this.

Then they say they will pay me next year...!?

Having a complicated set of rules they hold payments and never fully pays what shows on the affiliate dashboard screen.

Definitively they will give any reasons to not to pay you.

2. Their Affiliate Dashboard is old/outdated (90's style), slow and not useful

3. Affiliate Customer Service is Terrible

Their Customer Service is slow and unhelpful.

I've sent them a government issued ID twice and they claimed they never received it

One of their "Customer Service Supervisor" was not competent.

This Supervisor after stating that he read all about my case he didn't know what kind of payment method I have selected.

4. They do not provide you with their superior email or any other contact method

They refuse/ignore any request that is related to escalate your case to top management.

5. Even "Close account" option did not work.

I had to reach out to their customer support in order to close my account.

Avoid this "affiliate company" at any cost.

If you join them you probably will be disappointed.

Run away from them.

Linkshare is TERRIBLE.

I guess they are owned by an East Indian company because I can NEVER get anyone in the US to answer the phone & the first time I called she couldn't even hear me & I had to waste time calling back again.

Today this girl Sumaiya lied to me & told me there is no manager around. How can there be NO manager around during the day? It's 12 pm PST.

She said he's not in the office, try to call back. I said what is his name. She refused to give that to me because I guess he works for the President & it's top secret information.

Then when I started to get upset because it was clear she was lying to me & just didn't want to let me speak to a manager, she said give me your number & MAYBE he will call you back tomorrow.

So not only am I STILL not getting paid for September's sales & it's already the end of October, I can't get the manager on the phone.

Connection, not secured. Customer service, zero. They do not even send you an email to aprove registion approval. Theier website says email is sent but nada. I even checked spam and trash folders to c if it went there. The i canceled my registration. When u cancel the website will comeup with a message saying to finish canceling process click in your email, i waited... and waited for email to show up for cancelation. Here again no email has sent from them nor reached to my inbox or any of my folders in my email. Their customer support number do not answer calls... and on... and on... they are a mess, a disgrace for e-commerce, not fit to be called a business... they suck!
