Employees (male and female)were really not good people in general. Talking about a female customer's voice that it was too deep. Talking about customers from Mexico. Though, McAllen area is 99.99% Mexican and employees themselves are Mexican American. Told me I can become a member and get additional 20% off merchandise for $5. And employee did not give me my membership benefits. I'm really tired of companies that just play the game with people. I understand it's a business but most don't care about customers. I will never again go to Lids unless I know an employee of theirs is a good person.
Totally unprofessional and they lie they'll take your money even if the hat isn't in stock and you'll have to wait a month for a refund none contacts you about anything on your order information. Don't waste your time shop elsewhere!
In the past two years I've accumulated approximately 300 to 400 hats, including college, covering all the divisions for as low as $5.00 per hat. All the major pro sports hats starting at $10.00 per hat. I'm on a fixed income, and try to get as many per month as my budget allows. At Lids.com I've amassed quite the collection. They have so many ways to save on their site, I am the biggest sports nut, and Lids totally satisfies my cravings for hats. That's not all, they have everything, such as jerseys, pants, and all types of things. Simply go to Lids.com and check it out.
I see all these negative reviews and they're baffling.
I've dealt with one error in the past, which Lids fixed and still delivered within 2 days.
I just ordered 2 hats 5 days ago with standard shipping and, being a split order, received my first hat today and through tracking, see that I should receive the 2nd within the next 2 days.
Not only were the prices unbeatable, $50-60 in hats for $25, but the delivery was sooner than expected.
Sorry some of you had issues, but they get 5 stars from me.
This site is just amazing. They have everything you could want in the way of sports paraphernalia. I got a whole bunch of stuff from here before the super bowl. I was really happy with all the items I purchased. It was a lot of fun.
I order $250 worth of items online at Fanzz.com and 2 of the hats I ordered did not arrive. I called the customer service number multiple times when the message stated they were open and just got VM. One of the items didn't fit, so I went to one of their local stores. They didn't have my size either so I ended up giving it to my son. But I mentioned to the store employee, that I was unable to reach anyone at their office and he said he would reach out to the main office for me. Later that day a customer service manager sent me an email saying that the 2 hats I ordered were sold out and they will email me a new gift card # by the end of the day. This was 4/23/18. I have still not received my new gift card # and I have emailed the CS mgr ever week since then, without a reply. This is unacceptable and no way to run a business.
I ordered the wrong size frame and I sent it back and the correct was mailed out to me without waiting for them to receive the wrong one back. Great service. I would buy from them again. Thanks for everything. Troy D.
These are definitely not the same hats as in like 2016-2020 the quality is very cheap and they are all low profile been buying hats since the late 80's smh!
I had a bad experience. I'm waiting for the order and nothing. They have no assistance. I bought it as a gift and never arrive. I m waiting wainting. My nephew's birthday was 10 days ago. And nothing. And I received a false FedEx number. When I go to the website says not exist.
Ordered a Jersey for my son on December 14. Was guaranteed to have it before Christmas. Today December 28 still no Jersey. The manager at the Bend, Oregon store is awful! She is no help and quite rude when answering any question I have. I work retail and I know the way shipments and ordering work. My friend was the previous SM so I know what processes and procedure they have and she has no clue. Terrible hire Lids! Maybe you should call Moe and get him back in that store before it goes out of business! I will never shop this company again! Total disappointment.
Well I tried to order a bunch of stuff to save on shipping, but they only shipped out one thing because of their poor inventory system. To top it all off, the full charge has been pending on my account for days. Honestly think this is done on purpose. So they can just ship out each single item for full shipping price.
Just horrible service, and over inflated shipping prices. 1 months to ship 4 hats, because they use the cheapest possible shipping service available. (But you pay DHL prices.) Customer service is just... well a joke. Absolutely last time i order anything from lids.com
I hate these people so much that I can't go into the details without stressing; suffice to say that if their "customer service rep" Tara isn't a bot, she's an android. They refused to change shipping method within 15 minutes of my order, although the order was placed on a weekend and they state that they don't ship on weekends so the items were still just sitting there. I was trying to upgrade shipping speed, nothing more. So lame.
The only thing surpassed by the poor quality of the items they sell is their customer service department. A call to their 800 number can take anywhere between one to three hours to get an answer. I tried to return two baseball shirts I bought for my wife, not for a money refund, but for different sizes. My wife normally wears either a small or medium in a tee shirt. Just to be comfortable, I ordered two medium shirts. When they arrived, not only was the quality of the material terrible, as thin a paper, but my 4 year old granddaughter would have had a difficult time fitting into these shirts. I realize this is one of the problems buying items sight unseen. But this was brutal. I'd steer clear of buying from this company unless you have money to burn. Go to a "real" sporting goods store, look at the quality, feel the material, get help if needed. Lid's.com offers none of the above.
We purchased t-shirts and hats for our kids. The hats were in terrible shape- bill of hat had been bent etc. When we called we were told we could return the items to the store...In the store they said they can not accept online returns. So instead we shipped back and paid the $9.99 fee for items that were DAMAGED and not of our doing. Option was to take an e-certificate but we have no intention of shopping with lids again so the the $9.99 ended up being the cost of a lesson learned... avoid LIDS
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I went into the store with my 7 year old son... obviously to purchase some merchandise. It took me over 20 minutes to get someone to help me get a hat down from the top row, mainly because the employees were too busy having a dance party and rapping there music... one of the guys was off work and must have announced he was leaving to go get "LIT" for his birthday but don't worry he won't be "hungover tomorrow"... When I asked for help 3 different times I got told "oh yeah, give me a sec". Then they debated with each other on what music they wanted to hear before they came and helped me. One guy came over and got the hat down for me but immediately walked away before I can tell him he got the wrong size down... at that point I just put the hat down and walked out. I will not waste my time at this company anymore.
Waste of time ordering online. No way of knowing what is in stock. They do not update their inventory in real-time. After 12 days I receive a: "Thank you for your order! Unfortunately the item(s) are no longer in stock and will not be shipped". My fault for giving them a second chance (I had ordered a different hat before, only to receive the same the-item-is-no-longer-in-stock email days later). Now I have to order elsewhere after about a month of waiting for nothing.
I advise to not give Lids any business. I placed an order, contacted them multiple times about the delay in shipment to be told that it should be shipping soon. Weeks later I am told that the item is out of stock! This was suppose to be a Christmas present. Horrible customer service and horrible back end systems!
Placed an order online and it took two days to process. It then sat for UPS pick up and has been crawling from San Francisco apparently on bicycle, since 5 days later it is only in Salt Lake City. Maybe you should have Amazon fulfill your orders and you can at least attempt to provide customer service. Never again will purchase from your lam company.
Went to store and only 1 of the 3 shirts I ordered was there. Clerk seemed confused why I did not just want to take the 1 shirt when I ordered 3... I had to basically force them to call customer service who called is back about 30 minutes later... Horrible! And the customer service rep seemed to think it was not at all strange two shirts disappeared and no one notified me within TWO WEEKS! Never will I be a customer again. I got a full refund, even left the 1 shirt that survived travel. If I could give 0 stars I would!
