Looks like LG is a global company but it is not like that! Recently, I built a custom home in Oakville and ordered 2 sets of LG Washing Tower (Washer and Dryer Set) through CAS. The dryer was ductless, heat pump system. I have got the Electrical Requirement Sheet from LG's website mentioning that it requires 15Amp wiring. Then I have prepared everything base on that electrical requirement, during the construction process. After I completed the construction, when the dryers delivered; I was shocked because the plugs are 30Amp, not 15Amp? I talked to LG Canada and explained the situation; they said they will correct this wrong information on their website and also they confirmed to reimburse my new wiring modification costs. I have sent the invoice of the Electrician and the Painter total $5,200 but they offered me to reimburse just $150. Of course I didn't accept their offer and I will sue them on the Ontario Courts! I strongly suggest everyone not to trust LG and their products!
Do not buy LG appliances! 4 yr old fridge dead. New compressor can be ordered for free but it will cost us a total of $960.50 to have compressor replaced. Diagnostic was $113, which we paid, but to get a repair person to come to our house they want $350 just to come to our home and another $400 to replace the free compressor. Add your tax and we are at $960.50. Insane! We also have an LG dishwasher and after one year it does not clean well. I always rinse the dishes and it still doesn't do a thorough job. Home Depot has predominantly LG and Samsung appliances and they are both GARBAGE! Bottom line we have spent $2000 on a new Maytag fridge which I did not have in my budget. Can't say it enough……stay away from LG!
I contacted LG for the service manual and they would not send it to me even though I am well qualified to repair the range. They said to contact a qualified service store and pay a few hundred $ to get the range repaired. Most likely many ranges end up in the garbage because they do not want you to repair it but buy a new one instead!. I will not buy an LG range or any of their products again and do not recommend buying one.
Five year old LG French door refrigerator has leak that LG cannot find and repair despite paying for out of warranty repairs. Now LG writes (original email on file) and tells me my unit was made in 2009 despite s/n tag showing 2016. An obvious attempt to avoid liability. Same unit as subject to US class action suit settled for units made between 1/1/2014 and 12/31/17. I'm avoiding any items made by LG. To sitejabber images of poip not accepting.
LG dish washer
My LG dish washer, was really perfect while it worked, but 1 year after purchase the sprinklers stopped turning around and that's when the issue started. The technician came 4 times, always had to wait a week before he showed again. Then the "Case Manager, CS Painpoint Innovation". Got into the case, she said I would receive a new machine, but since she said that, nothing happens...
It's been over a month since she started taking care of my case. (That on top of the 2 months that passed before she entered my case- total of 3 months and no end on site) Recently her respond was "We apologize for this delay as the team is handling a lot of replacement requests"...
Not very encouraging, knowing I'm not the only one in this scenario.

I bought a range from LG from Costco with 2 years warranty. All letters written on knobs faded so its oven is useless now. Don't believe on second year warranty on Costco because not LG neither Costco take responsibility for that. I have called both LG and Costco neither of them resolved my problem. The latest reply from LG was "I will give you 30 % off for knobs replacement"
Very poor customer relations. I did not receive a wire rack with my microwave although the specs on the site said it is included. When I called, they said it is not included. They said I should have read the manual BEFORE I bought the item as it is mentioned in the manual rack is not included.! I have never heard something so ridiculous. Their specs list the wire rack being includes under features. They said that is just a feature but it is not included. To me this is false advertising and I will be checking with Consumer Affairs Department if they can list it under features but then say you need to read the manual to determine if it is actually included or not.
DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT buy anything from LG unless you want to end up in tears.
I have purchased an expensive heat pump, 'top of the line', that didn't work properly from the get go. In the first 6 months, 6 repairs and none resolved the situation. The installer is trying to resolve it and so am I by calling LG and BBB - the calls are not proceeded, and the issue not resolved. The head of their technical service, Hassan Banat, denies replacement as it 'works now'. Reality is that it works for a few hours and then the compressor becomes so loud that the neighbours are complaining.
LG makes everyone look bad, the customer service calls me 'mam' so this adds to the insult.
I now have to go to the courts to address it.

We purchased a new home with LG appliances. The oven has never worked properly. When we contacted LG the solution was to spend $244 and they would send someone out to look at it. The dishwasher only works when it wants to. VERY UNIMPRESSED Gave 1 star as there is no 0.
WE HAVE NOT HAD ONE REAL MEAL SINCE PAYING $3000 FOR THIS STOVE, THE ELEMENTS,EVEN THOUGH YOU BUY NEW EXPENSIVE INDUCTION POTS TURN THEMSELVES OFF CONSTANTLY, THEY DO NOT COOK ANYTHING CONSISTENTLY. I DID NOT EVEN COOK CHRISTMAS DINNER THIS YEAR AS I KNEW THE STOVE WOULD FAIL ME. THE OVEN DOES NOT GO ON TO CONVECTION AND THE TEMP. IS SUB PAR NOTHING COOKS AT AN APPROPRIATE TIME. HOME DEPOT KICKS YOU TO THE CURB AND LG YOU WILL SPEND HOURS AND HOURS AND MANY MANY WASTED TIMES NOT BEING HELPED AND LEAVING MESSAGES. THIS COMPANY IS VERY CORRUPT AND SO IS HOME DEPOT FOR CARRYING THIS HORRIBLE STOVE WITH ALL THE SAME COMPLAINTS BY OTHERS THAT WE HAVE THIS STOVE SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED AND WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK SO WE CAN EAT A PROPER MEAL.I WOULD RATHER BE COOKING ON A CAMP FIRE IT IS MORE PREDICTABLE. I COULD HAVE SAVED OUR FAMILY $3000
Purchased convection oven 02/21/16. Installed on 03/13/16.
Used over 5 or 6 times. On 04/21/16 I used oven. About an hour later I hear something pop in the kitchen. Couldn't figure out what it was. Next day I open oven door and inside glass on over door was shattered into thousands of pieces.
I call LG. They send repairman who comes to my house on 04/27. He takes picture of door and leaves. On 05/11 I call repair place. They are surprised LG hasn't called me. He advised LG said damage was 'cosmetic' and is only covered for one week under warranty.
I call LG and ask to speak to supervisor. Supervisor does best to get me off the phone. I tried to explain that this was not cosmetic but probably a flaw during manufacturing or transport. He kept saying cosmetic over and over.
I am trying our State Attorney General's office to get LG to pay for their defective equipment they sold me.
Just got a call from repair place advising me they would fix the problem for $200.00 which is about 22% of what I paid for the oven. I advised I would try to fix it myself.
Terrible customer service after sale. They do not stand by their products. Never trust LG.
The LG front load high efficiency washer is beautiful and appealing but buyer beware! Beneath the beauty is a host of trouble that's not worth it. Our new home that we purchased recently came with a washer that was manufactured a year ago. Shortly after we started using it, it started making loud noises and then stopped working. When we called LG customer service they brushed us off saying it was out of warranty. They recommended a third party to fix the washer and after over a month and $500 in parts and labor, they still don't seem to know what's wrong with the machine. To me, when you pay over $1k for a product there is an implicit expectation that it would last a couple years before breaking down. LG just absolved itself of any responsibility by saying the machine was manufactured over a year ago so too bad for us! At this point we are so frustrated that we might just abandon the repair and purchase another brand. Buyer beware! Check out the reviews before you make the mistake of purchasing this substandard product and get stuck with a lemon from a company that doesn't even care about you.
I bought an LG OLED55C8PUA TV - a 55" TV. The picture is great but the sound is terrible so had to buy a sound bar.
Three years into use its WiFi module failed, which means it wouldn't connect to my WiFi. I had to pay $300 to have the module replaced.
The repair man, who has repaired many LG TVs in my city, told me that the new LG WiFi module part would, more-than-likely fail in three years too.
He also said I was lucky it lasted 3 years as his shop repairs many of their TVs in their first year of use.
Don't buy from LG.
The main board has had to be replaced twice in two years. LG should be responsible for recycle costs
Can't get any service or even contact them they keep for hrs waiting to talk to someone and this person is unable to help
2.5 year old LG Fridge compressor died, LG price of repair is $407 of a fridge that cost $1160 don't buy it
Purchased a fridge from LG (through Best Buy) just under a year back. The fridge failed while still under warranty. While LG sent a company over to assess the issue and changed both the Compressor and both Evaporators - it STILL DID NOT WORK! My family and I have been "chasing" LG customer service for over 3 weeks to get the promised refund/store credit and have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as a result of no refunds on a failed product. The LG Customer service is LAZY - they ask the customer to get in touch and do all the work. Haseeb and Ronald Calderon in Customer Service are VERY incompetent & extremely lazy. They play phone tag, don't put anything down on email and what should have been resolved in a few minutes, has been stretched over for over 3 weeks! They are a NIGHTMARE to deal with! I can't advise you enough to refrain from any LG products - if it fails, you're in BIG trouble as LG will simply refuse to help you! You will spend MANY hours talking with them over the phone but NOTHING gets done!
I had to give this company a 1 star because they would not let me put in NO STARS.
Purchased a side by side LG Frig in February 2017 with the "NEW and ENHANCED" compressor. In February of 2017 we started to experience issues with cooling and freezing as in, we had neither.
We contacted the local authorized repair centre and, due to the volume of LG repairs they had, they were unable to perform a repair for 7 days. When the technician arrived he knew exactly what the issue was and proceeded to replace the compressor. That lasted about a week, when we started having issues again, though this time, we would have cooling and freezing for a few hours and then a thaw. For a few hours. The technician came back within a couple of days and checked for leaks, blew out the compressor line, just in case some debris had gotten in during the course of the first repair. Once again, within a few days we lost cooling, though this time it was intermittent. The frig would work the freezer would not, then the freezer would, then it would not. The local service company wrote off the unit and advised on June 4/21 that LG Canada had approved the Replacement Request for the frig. They provided us the information to contact LG Canada and advised that LG Canada would be in contact directly with us within a couple of days
Though I was frustrated before? This is where it really begins.
Took 8 days for LG to contact us.
We were advised that in order to take advantage of the rebate we had to buy another LG Frig. NOT my first choice but ok, your going to give me $100 towards a replacement, Perhaps I can live with that.
We bought the frig, submitted the paperwork and stared to wait the 8-12 weeks for the cheque.
Still waiting 35 weeks later. I contacted LG in October of 2021 and they admitted that they had a record for a cheque acceptance form, not only did they not have a record of our original request, they did not even know who we had been communicating with within Customer Service at LG Canada.
At this point, I have given up on seeing the cheque. So, they way I look at it, I will spend my time advising people to NOT buy their product.
