Still Expensive JUNK!
October 14, 2024
Updated review

It is now 2 years later and the equipment still does not function as it should. The dealer "decided" that the equipment is no longer under warranty and they still don't have the knowledge to figure out how to make things function properly! Lennox International states loud and clear that they DO NOT do service work of any kind which obviously includes supporting their dealers. Rooms get either too hot or too cold depending on what the outside temperatures are doing! We installed an HVAC system so our home would be comfortable year round in Arizona! Boy, did we make a mistake! If someone is talking to you as a consumer about purchasing Lennox equipment -- RUN!

Buyer Beware!

Previous review

We built a home in 2020. After research we decided on Lennox equipment so we would have a premier HVAC system in our home. It has NEVER functioned properly. Lennox does not stand behind their equipment. Our local dealer can't even get support from Lennox. We installed a 4 ton, 3 ton, and 2 ton unit as well as a ventilation system and humidifiers and it's all junk! Buyer Beware!

I paid almost $20,000 for our new HVAC System that was installed November 2021. The system stopped working May 12,2023 at 2:01 pm. It has taken 5 days to get someone out to fix it and get this... they want to charge me for their failing equipment. If your equipment is going to break down a year and a half later why would you even think charging a customer would be ok.
My husband passed away a year ago, I called, left a message, I told them in my message that my husband passed and to please call and walk me through changing the filter and anything else that needed to be done.
Noone ever called. I had to go through many emails to find the one that my husband had been corresponding with, I didn't hear from anyone until April 2023. So in the middle of the hottest days that we have had since last year, we had to suffer through our home temperature of 97 degrees. Today we have a tech out and it is a main part that went bad and you guest it, I am being charged. $180 for a service call and $280 per hour for labor. Excuse me, why would I be charged for something that is under warranty? Is Lennox going to reimburse me? It is their equipment and for the price we paid that equipment should not be breaking down after a year and a half.

Junk equipment
November 23, 2020

You have to be a dealer to buy there good junk! How arrogant! Johnson supply lost the York line for the same reason. Just run off all licensed contractors and see what happens.

I purchased a Lennox Air Ease gas pack/AC unit on 2/2/12 to replace my old Trane unit. So far in two years, I have had to replace two circuit boards under warranty, but had to pay $75 labor each time. Now I switched it to A/C and the unit won't run, repairman just said the compressor is locked up. It is under warranty, but the labor will cost $600. Stay away from this brand.
