I ordered videos and about 100 pictures. Video's came through good on DVD's... pictures did not come through at all! They sent the disk, but nothing was on it. So I had to send all the pictures back to do again (which they sent me a UPS label for, so at least just a added hassle). Unfortunately about 1/3rd of the pictures scanned with a multitude of scratches through the picture. Scratches were not on originals. So an A- on the videos, a solid F on the pictures.
I'm looking at videos I haven't looked at in 20+ years. Very nostalgic and completely loving it. I have the thumb nail which makes it easy to view as I'm sitting at my computer. I'm in the process of cataloging what I had video taped years ago. Loving it!

Recently had Legacy Box make 80 DVDs from our old VHS tapes and a couple of reel-to-reels. The process was easy and fast. The quality of the DVDs is excellent.

I was very impressed with my experience with Legacybox. I had plenty of time to organize my tapes and it was very easy to pack them up with the supplied box. I got them back in a timely fashion. There was one tape that they were unable to transfer due to mold and when I contacted customer service they were able to refer me to another company who did deal with the issue. All in all, we are really enjoying watching our memories and I really appreciate a company that takes the time to respond to me in a timely fashion with the answers I need. A great experience!

The photos, VHS tapes and cassettes that I could view first turned out great and are wonderfully preserved now for us to enjoy. However, I sent some labeled videos for my husband that I wasn't able to view first (Don't have a VHS player, came from his parents) that were nothing more than taped soap operas. I wish they would contact you first to warn/ask you if you want these materials recorded digitally, to make sure you didn't make a mistake.

I searched all the sites available to transfer my old HVS tapes to DVD's. I checked all pricing and "how too" provided on line. What a load off my shoulders to realize I can have Legacybox do all the work for me. What a delight to finally see them after all these years. My grandson lost his dad in 2013 when he was very young and has not seen some of these tapes. This will be the best birthday present I can think of for him to have these precious memories of him. My entire family is so excited to see them all, which I have lots more to share. Thank you Legacybox to once again see these memories come alive!

It's as easy as putting the stuff in a box. All of our 16mm or whatever the size of that old film is from the 60's and 70's with no sound showing us in pigtails and crawling in the dirt because our parents weren't scared of the world yet. AND the recent digital video tapes that were better than the vhs-c tapes (which we had millions of) and the regular vhs gargantuan cassettes. Dump it all in and it comes back on a thumb/flash drive and you can share/YouTube and enjoy your old memories with out need for anything other than a computer. Legacy box was fast and high quality. Hold your tapes. They dont copy the full tape and you need to check all. Feel good provider but erasing memories every day.
Hi Ken! We do not delete or erase any footage we receive, as our facility physically does not carry the equipment to do so. This is an attribute about our company that we do not yield on as these items cannot be replaced. Additionally, our system is designed to always record from beginning to end. There's not a way for a tech to avoid that process. However, many times customers believe there's more footage on their Tapes than what was actually used. So sorry that seems to be the case here. Not impressed with the results. Pretty expensive. I still haven't gotten all the files back. I can't find the digital version of what I sent.
After dismantling 46 family photo albums 7 years ago, all of our family photos languished in boxes and bins through 3 moves of our household. After a friend told me about Legacybox, I decided to give you a try. The first 100 sent in turned out well, so now the process continues. The next 300 will be sent in soon.

I had 5 vhs tapes converted to dvds. Process said it take 4 to 6 weeks but it showed up in 3 weeks. Happy with the product and happy i got to preserve my memories.

I hesitated to have my old VHS, 8mm and slides preserved because of the price tag! Now I wish I'd prioritized it sooner! Not only are my family memories preserved beautifully, they were also carefully tracked and monitored throughout the process so I was able to relax and trust the process.

Though there are many options out there, legacy box does the best job of photo and film preservarion. The colors are vibrant as if taken yesterday,. The provide all materials back and neat packaging. They are worth it.

The quality of the transfers of my 8mm home movies to DVD was so good we couldn"t believe they were the same movies we took 50 years ago and had watched on our old 8mm projector. The process was so fast and we were able to enjoy the movies in less than 3 weeks. The many discount offers made the cost so reasonable. Went with the starter box. You can only send back 3 reels for the start up price or pay more for extra reels. On the super 8 sound reels they DO NOT do sound transfer with the final product. Just want to let future customers know in advance. Please check the status of your order on your own because they did not send a confirming email to me that my final product was sent, but after getting my cd back, the quality was great and got my originals back in the same condition as sent. They even told me my old films was damaged and fixed it at no charge. Thank you Legacy Box for the memories.
