I placed an order on 12/10/22 and have not received it and they have not responded to my two emails about this order! I also had a problem on another order and they ignored my emails. So, they have my money and no response!
I would give Leatherback Gear zero stars if I was allowed. They were great at taking my money when I bought several backpacks from them, but a true measure of a company is whether or not they stand by their warranty, and their customer service is terrible. I contacted them in August 2021 when one of the carrying straps failed on one of my five
backpacks purchased. I immediately emailed photos of the defective part to customer service, and the young woman assured me that she would immediately ship a replacement. My son has to walk 3/4 mile from his bus stop, and I asked her to expedite my request because he strained his back while carrying his backpack with only one strap. It took this company about a month to get the WRONG part despite having a photo of the failed part. My rush replacement strap order was shipped first class mail after a long delay by the company. It is now November 2021, nearly three months since my initial complaint. After numerous calls, and alleged shipping confirmation emails sent by the company, I still don't have the replacement part. At this point, my son has ceased walking home as we have had to make alternate arrangements. Of the five backpacks that I ordered from Leatherback Gear, only one has been used since, and that backpack (my son's) didn't hold up to normal use. Given his experience with this one backpack, I can't imagine that the other four backpacks would be any better. Given my experience with this company, I strongly recommend that you avoid puchasing from them at all costs.
