KEH

First time I've made a purchase from KEH and I'm impressed. From my easy search for equipment thru purchase and tracking of the package to me, everything went well. Most important was the gear I purchased was "like new" as described. Works great. Moreover, one point I missed before was that KEH is an authorized Canon dealer. Don't know how and when that would apply but it tells me KEH passed muster with Canon to be a dealer which has to be a positive thing.

Needed an extremely stable tripod for my new telescope and mount head. I had a set of Manfrotto 3046 legs before and knew they would be the perfect fit. Looked on keh.com but they didn't have any at that time. A week or so later, they sent me an email saying they had a set available. Then when I saw their price, I immediately stopped what I was doing and ordered. They arrived within a few days and hardly look used at all. Maybe a tiny nick or two, but functionally perfect. I'm going to check keh.com from now on whenever I need equipment. I'm much more astronomer than photographer(I do have a little Nikon crop sensor cam), but buying good equipment for either gets expensive fast. Buying used has saved me thousands on telescopes and mounts. Now I can do the same for photography equipment on keh.com.

I bought a used Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 lens from KEH and LOVE it. The shipping for the order was quick and it arrived safely in one piece. The quality of my lens, the condition was listed as excellent, was apparent as soon as I unwrapped the item. The lens shoots incredibly well, as to be expected, while also being a great price. I will most likely utilize KEH for most, if not all, of my future used lens/camera equipment in the future! I highly recommend them!

I've been buying from KEH for many years. Every piece of equipment, no matter the condition rating LN-Bargain, has been nearly perfect. My first trip to the brick and mortar wasn't great, zero parking and waiting for almost an hour driving around before I ga e up. I went back a few days later and got right in and had a great experience. The guy that helped me wasn't a regular sales person, but he was very friendly and was able to help me with my pick up and answer all of my questions. KEH is my trusted, and only, source for used gear!

But first I will need to spend some time in the gym. This tank plus a 70-200mm hanging on the end totals 6.2 lbs but, come on, we're all masochists when it comes to trying to get a faster, sharper more impressive shot.

But I was less than happy with the express international freight company (fedex/TNT) who completely mucked me around in terms of where my parcel was located when they were not able to deliver to my home address. I spent an hour and 20 minutes running around town to collect. They blamed the truck drivers scanner (whatever happened to the old fashioned manual process if scanners don't work or find scanners that do work) and we are rolling out a new system (all I can say is test test test your system before rollout and don't inconvenience your customers).
I recommend Keh find a new international freight company one that has the end user at the centre and not an afterthought. Otherwise you'll have very unhappy customers when otherwise it was a positive experience shopping with Keh.
