Katt Diamond

These diamond earrings from Katt Diamonds were purchased on December 20th, 2023 for $799.43. The diamonds appeared extremely yellow, despite the F color. They were evaluated by a GIA appraiser to authenticate them and they failed inspection for the specs that on the appraisal that came with the diamonds. I contacted Katt on 2/16/23, who refused to do a return / refund, since it was beyond the 30 days. They explained that their appraiser has different standards from GIA (even though they are typically the industry standard and most online diamond companies use GIA standards). Their offer of a solution is for me to spend more money with them for a different pair of their diamonds, which again, will not equate to any normal diamond standards. After pressing them further, they still refused a refund for this purchase. Since then I researched further that their AGA appraiser is located in the samebuilding as Katt's HQ. While their only argument is that it was beyond the 30-day period, they gave no additional time over the holidays and by the time we had the diamond inspected, it was over the 30-day period. Honestly, this seems to be the scam. This whole purchase and service has been very deceptive, including the fact that these diamonds were deemed "significantly different than the specs" by a GIA inspection. We plan to warn other consumers so they don't end up with diamonds that will never be appraised to the specs they come with from Katt Diamonds and their "AGA" appraiser. Also - if you look on their website their reviews are coming in from a software tool, but you aren't able to leave a review on any of the pages displaying all 5 star reviews. It is very difficult to find places to leave reviews for this company and clearly they've done this on purpose. EXTREMELY UNETHICAL COMPANY - AVOID!
