The K9 Training Institute is a social impact organization that was formed to improve the relationship that dog owners around the world have with their pets.
We teach a large number of dog owners every year on the very best ways to train their dogs based on our own research on animal behavior.
We are especially passionate about training rescued dogs and giving them a second chance at finding a loving and caring family.
The company has garnered a positive reputation for its effective dog training techniques, with many customers noting significant improvements in their pets' behavior through the provided resources. The training methods, emphasizing operant conditioning and practical strategies, resonate well with users, fostering a sense of joy in the training process. However, a recurring concern is the affordability of the programs, as several customers express difficulty in accessing paid resources due to financial constraints. Overall, the company is viewed favorably for its informative content and supportive approach, yet it may benefit from exploring more accessible pricing options to enhance customer satisfaction.

It showed some of things but it didnt address all the issues and there was no content in there for the smaller dogs who are over reactive in a good way
In walking our 7 month old Doberman puppy, we tried the u-turn to stop the pulling. It worked!
The k9 training have been very helpful with there free training videos and reduced prices. It looks excellent and would recommend it to dog lovers. It appears to bring your dog and you closer with understanding your dog will make a big difference in how he will act.
I wish I had the $$ to take this course. I learned a lot just from the preview. I've had dogs for 35 years, read a lot of dog training books, but there were new things I didn't know, plus the videos of how the training worked were amazing. We're getting a new puppy in two weeks, and I want him to be even better trained than our other dogs. I wish I'd had your help with our precious dog who just went to Doggie Heaven 3 weeks ago. He barked at everything. I could make him sit and "Be a nice, quiet dog", but that gets old, every time you run the food processor, open a certain drawer, etc. He learned to obey me, but not to the extent he could have, if I'd had this special training. I'd love to take this, if only I had the money...
So far everything is working perfectly and I'm very pleased and satisfied
Could not believe that we were able to access this valuable training at no cost. We immediately used it with one of our dogs and had instant success, it is stress Free for both the owner and the dog now understands.
It was really an insightful workshop. Thanks for sharing those 3 steps. I would definitely put it in use. The guidens motivates me train my dogs.
Although I would like to subscribe to your class my budget is beyond reach. I have thoroughly enjoyed the free training program and I felt you have a good thing coming with more outreach programs maybe a little less costly. Thks again for the free book if I am going to get it after this review.
Clear and understandable instructions for improving my dogs reaction to training
I found the video very good. I trained working sheep dogs for fifty years and would have loved to have this information, it would have helped a lot. Also, all dogs wore collars and were tied up when not working, if they weren't they would wander and some even killed the sheep in their spare time. But I have found with my little jack russell the new type of harness is so less stressful for her that I am amazed.
Dear Dr Alexa,
Thank you so much for your tips and free training. I live in South Africa and to get products and services from the US is very costly for us and with both us and our pets going through lock down we have both (pets and owners) forgotten some of the basics when it comes to walking and socialising our pets.
Using body language is something we do but not in a mindful way so that is a big help and how to change behaviour in a calm way is better for the pet and the (mom) owner.
Thank you so much
Susan
The video helped me realize how unknowingly I was giving our dog the wrong rewards for good behavior! It reminded me of horse training! Give your horse or dog the way to the right behavior and they learn to choose it! Thank you!
Mary Jane has been doing a lot better at not barking at people when they come through the door and a lot more. It's good to know that I'm able to see tips and ways I can do better to help my dog.
Very impressed on the way the video was presented and when I applied it to my dog he was very receptive all
Great in-site into helping Bailey become a calm and respectful service dog. Good reminder on does and don'ts for us.
A lot of filler, but the meat was worth it! I actually took notes and put the things I learned into practice immediately. The results have been remarkable! I wish I could afford the whole course!
I watched the video and the instructor was very informed about her job and she explained so much in such a short time that amazed me. I will be signing up to go further
I found the info very informative and have used some of the items I learned. I am really surprised that these things are working in training my dog to behave better. With not knowing my husband and I had already done parts of the training. It is nice to know that the non verbal training we had already done, due to my husbands illness, is part of the training in this free class. It is so unbelievable that my dog has already started to look at me for direction and barking at people and animals has almost stopped.
Loved this information! It would be amazing to have my new puppy be this well behaved!
Hi Carole - thanks for your review. As we mentioned in our private message to you, our training techniques work for all dog breeds, including smaller dogs. Also, we cover leash reactivity in the 10th week of our masterclass. Hope that helps!:-)
