It was truly difficult to figure out what kind of strings I needed to buy for my recently deceased mother's basically-new Oscar Schmidt autoharp. How hard would it be for them to very clearly explain that on their website? Then the shipping for one single string was $7. It weighs nothing, but they charged me $7. Ridiculous. THEN, to top it all off, they sent me the wrong kind of string anyway! I'm extremely annoyed. And their customer service emails are short, brusque, and not particularly helpful or showing any concern for the customer. I advise you to look elsewhere for your instrument string needs.
I ordered strings, and they did not tell me the strings were out of stock. I am well over a month from ordering and still no strings. Their response was ridiculous to say the least. They are so deceptive, I will not use them ever again, and I suggest you don't either!
When you get the wrong strings that are such a heavy gauge they will make your fingers bleed and you return them all you will get is a recording and then emails that say they have all these policies set up not to give you a refund and you will notice 2.4 stars do yourself a favor unless you have money to throw down the drain buy strings from your local music store or find another company on the internet
The guy called today. He did the good cop/bad cop routine. He was the bad cop. I think he's been watching too many American TV shows. It was funny, but, ruthless, nasty, and hostile. Again, they sent the wrong strings.
I ordered 3 Perpetual strings. They sent me 3 Permanent strings. They will not honour their mistake.
They read the note I attached and responded accordingly. I have used various brands for 50 years; bulk strings are fine strings. The bronze strings better than previous company I used; these last longer without buzzing. I measure all strings before I install and their bulk strings measure dead-on. Can't say that about other strings. Quick delivery.
They promptly provided the strings I ordered for a several years without a glitch. I still buy strings from them. I appreciated them having good decriptions of the different materials and sounds resulting from string make up.
I've used juststringscom for Year's and buy 15 to 20 sets per year from them. But they have the terrible practice of allowing customers to place an order for strings they don't have in stock. There have been times when I've placed an order for say eight sets of strings and only recieved part of my order. When I complained about the practice they simply say "well we dont charge for shipping the back ordered strings. Wow, really? Thats supposed to excuse you? Then recently I placed an order and it took them a full seven days just to ship the order. I have informed them that I will no longer use them.
Ordered strings and they were shipped very quickly. I also received a gift for ordering. Guitar cleaning cloth. Great company and I will continue to use them for all of my stringed instruments
I placed my 3rd or so order on 7/11/20,3 weeks later I called and left a message, (and possibly an email) received no answer. On 10/01/20 I received an email that my order had shipped. In the mean time I moved to a different city. I did some king of satisfaction review and sent them an email, and got a story about string companies and covid, as well as a suggestion to drive to another city, and knock on the door of a stranger to receive my order. (In a pandemic) I am
Also handicapped and a senior citizen but that's neither JustString's fault OR am i looking for sympathy. Just sayin' and I told whoever emailed me. $57 was absolutely NOT worth all of you people reading the truth.
I've shopped all through covid and have had up to 1 week extended delivery times, but this is ridiculous. HaHa, Go Internet!
6 days to ship 5 sets of strings which were common strings in stock at Sweetwater and Guitar Center down the street. I wanted to add a couple of single strings so I thought I'd give Just Strings a shot. I got the receipt later the same day and thought they had shipped since I paid for First Class. I just got a shipping notice from them-6 days later. What a worthless company. I could've driven 10 minutes and had them in hand or orderd from SW and had them here by now. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. Wish I would've looked up the online reviews first.
1, I was able to order a discontinued item on the website by the time I ordered! If I could choose the items it generally means it is in stock( as it is stated at the ordering page) This never happened at any of the online shipping experience before!
2 i choose first class email but when the product arrived I've found out I was using express mail which the shipping cost shoot up from $25 to $60. I was able to choose and proceed to check out even I choose the so called wrong shipping method... they had a seperate sub page somewhere at the website but I cannot find it while was doing my online shopping... And even in the final confirmed order email it indicated that I would be using first class mail and I was not notified anything about the problem... in all the website is old fashioned and not user friendly at all
3. Their staff wrotef me some of the items' was " out of stock'... it is rare that she use such a term then not specifying the particular item
4. Another staff of them stated that there was another email was send out which Ive never received (I've even checked thoroughly from my email account) I did not understand why they just not using the same email and reply it for back and forth communication
5, if my chosen shipping method was not aligned with the shipping policy of your company, it should show at a separate finalized invoice and with my consent BEFORE it was sent out, not after I received the products.
I have placed numerous orders from Europe with this company and as I have always been satisfied with their reliability, responsiveness and fair prices, I will continue to buy from juststrings.com. A+
Requested assistance in finding specific strings on the Web site and received a prompt but incorrect link from Jim Clark. Because I didn't notice his error, my 6/30/20 order was not correct and didn't realize until after receiving the order. Continued via their preferred method of communication, *******@juststrings.com, on 7/11 and 7/19 with no response. Tried calling their 800 phone number as well as one shown on the invoice, on 7/7 and 7/20 respectively. Both numbers had the same recording about the phone not being operational due to Covid-19. That has become a common practice this year, thus understandable. However, am doubting the sincerity of the "100% satisfaction guarantee" (touted on a full page on the Web site). The key words there = "may return any unopened merchandise in resalable condition within 30 days of the original ship date" (minus $6.95 shipping). With no procedure there for a return/exchange, the natural next step = contact Customer Service. Perhaps Covid-19 has put them short-handed/busy, yet not responding to communication after the sale is not good. This order was my first one with the company, though, thus perhaps just bad luck.
I have been taking cello lessons for a little under a year now. Last sunday, i broke my D string on my cello. My lesson was supposed to be today, in just a few hours, so i compared not just price, but the estimated speed at which i could expect the strings. JustStrings.com listed an estimate of 3-4 days, which would put the strings arriving yesterday or today. I used the tracker on tuesday to check on the progress of my package, and found that they did not even create a shipping label until the end of the business day on tuesday, even though their 100% satisfaction guarantee specifically says they usually ship within one business day. Mind you, their error will cost me one cello lesson missed that is already paid for.
They told me by email that the post office was swamped because of COVID, and then said they had shipped as quickly as they could when i pointed out that it took them 3 days to get the package to the post office, and that they could not expect a 0-1 day delivery time by the post office to make up for their intrinsic slowness in actually shipping the package.
A phone call got a more detailed answer that they were also affected by COVID and that this had slowed their shipping. I suggested that they change their shipping estimate from 3-4 days to a more realistic 5-7 days because of this, and i could have ordered elsewhere had their website been correct.
They charge $7 to ship a set of strings. I was a seller on ebay for years, selling CDs. These are roughly the same weight, and i KNOW it does not cost that much to ship something of that size and weight. I would think if they actually wanted to live up to their 100% satisfaction guarantee, they could either refund the shipping cost, or to attempt to ensure that i remain as a customer, give me free shipping on my next order, as an incentive to try them again.
I just wanted the musician friends i have on here to know that JustStrings.com's "100% satisfaction guarantee" is not worth the time it takes to read it, nor is the shipping time listed on their website accurate. If you have a guarantee like that, and you don't honor it, why even bother having it on your website?
Answer: Seeing it in the Google search results without looking up reviews
